Development of RAM in Millimeter Wave Range for RF Stealth (RF 스텔스 효과를 위한 밀리미터 RAM 개발)

  • In this paper, stealth technology, which minimizes detection from the enemy, was analyzed and it was confirmed that Most RCS reduction comes from shaping and in specific parts, by applying RAM. Therefore, we designed and manufactured RAM that absorbs 98% of electromagnetic wave at 94 GHz with 17dB of radar absorption property to minimize RCS at milimeter wave range. As a result, we had 62% reduction in the detection range from the enemy by using developed RAM.

  • In this paper, measurement techniques of absorbing ability for a RAM were studied for RCS Reduction needed for materializing ADD's RF stealth. As for the measurement techniques of absorbing ability, the theories of the free space method, similar to real radar system, and transmission line method, suitable for lab scale, were established. And we made real RAM samples, measured absorbing ability according to each, and compared the results. After comparison, electromagnetic(EM) wave absorbing ability was measured to be somewhat superior in free space method and overall uniform pattern was observed. Therefore, by applying measurement techniques by stage and by frequency we could develop RAM in a more efficient way.

  • In this study, an improved method of setting the RAM goals for surveillance system using OMS/MP and field operations data of similar systems is suggested and a case study of surveillance system A is given. Newly suggested methods for setting the RAM goals consist of the procedures such as On/Off time analysis of configuration equipment based on OMS/MP, field operations data analysis of similar systems, adjustment of preventive maintenance time, the number of corrective maintenances, and TALDT in wartime, introducing new subsystem to reliability structure of surveillance system, and reflecting expert's opinion. A case study of surveillance system A shows that newly suggested method in this study for setting the RAM goals is reasonably acceptable and practically applicable to other similar systems.

  • In the development stage of weapon system, it is important to analyze RAM(Reliability, Availability and Maintainability) characteristics. RAM simulation is one of the advanced techniques for analyzing RAM to overpass the limit of mathematical techniques. However, it is necessary to obtain correct input data for reliability and maintainability about target and support system to get highly accurate results through RAM simulation. In this study, we propose the technical method to improve the results by defining input data of simulation more correctly based on analyzing effects of RAM characteristics by major factors.

  • 하천에 설치된 보의 상류는 유사의 퇴적이 발생하며 하류 하도는 보에 의한 유사 차단 효과로 하상하강이 기대된다. 보 상류 퇴적이 진행되면 저수량이 감소하며 심할 경우 보 자체의 안전도 위협할 수 있다. 또한, 하류 하도에 세굴 및 하강현상이 지속되면 흐름 및 하도의 불안정과 하천 시설물의 안전을 위협하게 된다. 따라서 보 건설에 따른 하도의 퇴적 및 침식 현상을 예측하여 장차 발생할 수 있는 문제를 사전에 예측하는 것은 공학적으로 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 수심적분 2차원 모형에 기초하여 유동 및 하상변동을 모의하는 RAM6 모형을 이용하여 금강 세종보에 적용하였다. RAM6는 흐름특성 변화에 따라 하상이 평형상태로 변화되는 과정을 시간에 따라 모의하고, 하상변화에 따른 흐름특성의 변화를 연계하여 모의하는 2차원 유한요소 모형이다. 세종보를 기준으로 상 하류 2 km, 총 4 km 구간에 대해 수치모의를 실시하였다. 세종보 상하류의 2차원 모의를 위하여 보 주위의 지형정보와 흐름정보를 입력하였다. 보의 제원은 높이 4 m이며, 가동보 223 m, 고정보 125 m로 총연장은 348 m 이다. 보 주위의 흐름과 퇴적 및 침식에 대해 모의하고 이 결과에 대하여 고찰하였다.

A Demand Paging for Reducing The Memory Usage of OS-Less Embedded Systems (운영체제 없는 시스템의 메모리 절감을 위한 요구 페이징 기법)

  • For a NAND booting based embedded system, an application program on the NAND flash memory is downloaded to the RAM when the system is booted. In this case, the application program exists in both the RAM and the NAND flash so the RAM usage is increased. In this paper, we suggested the demand paging technique for the decreasing of the RAM usage for OS-less NAND booting based embedded systems. As a result of a benchmark test, 40~80% of the code memory usage was reduced with below 5% of execution time delay.

  • In this paper we propose a generic BIST builder for the Embedded Multiple HAM modules in ASICs, The BlST circuitry is automatically generated according to the specification of the target RAM Modules and the applying test algorithms to them. The lJIST is designed using the TOP-DOWN technique and, thus, has the several advantages in the area of the selection of test algorithm, the development of the circuitry, and the reuse of the circuitry, In addition, we have modified the existing serial interiacing approach to obtain smaller additional BlST circuitry and higher fault coverage and better B1ST sharing of the target RAM Modules in ASICs.

Method of Processing the Outliers and Missing Values of Field Data to Improve RAM Analysis Accuracy (RAM 분석 정확도 향상을 위한 야전운용 데이터의 이상값과 결측값 처리 방안)

  • Purpose: Field operation data contains missing values or outliers due to various causes of the data collection process, so caution is required when utilizing RAM analysis results by field operation data. The purpose of this study is to present a method to minimize the RAM analysis error of the field data to improve the accuracy. Methods: Statistical methods are presented for processing of the outliers and the missing values of the field operating data, and after analyzing the RAM, the differences between before and after applying the technique are discussed. Results: The availability is estimated to be lower by 6.8 to 23.5% than that before processing, and it is judged that the processing of the missing values and outliers greatly affect the RAM analysis result. Conclusion: RAM analysis of OO weapon system was performed and suggestions for improvement of RAM analysis were presented through comparison with the new and current method. Data analysis results without appropriate treatment of error values may result in incorrect conclusions leading to inappropriate decisions and actions.

  • 본 연구는 복소유전률 측정장치의 실현을 목표로 한 것이다. 본 장치는 인터페이스 유니트, 외부 RAM, 프로그래머블 카운터, D/A 콘버터, 측정회로, S&H 회로, A/D콘버터 및 기타 제어회로로 구성하였다. 컴퓨터에 의해 여러 종류의 파형이 디지털화하여 생성되며 4096워드의 외부 스태틱 RAM에 전송된다. 이와같이 RAM에 저장된 데이타는 D/A콘버터에 의하여 아날로그 전압파형으로 변환된다. 이 전압파형의 주파수는 클럭펄스에 의한 RAM의 읽기 속도에 좌우된다. 이와같이 생성된 전압파형이 유전체에 인가되며 이 인가전압과 함께 유전체의 응답전압이 샘플링되어 A/D콘버터에 의해 디지털 데이터로 변환된다. 컴퓨터는 응답전압 및 인가전압을 취하게 되며 마지막으로 복소유전률을 계산한다. 본 측정장치의 측정주파수 범위는 0.04Hz-10kHz이다.
