해수열원 히트펌프 시스템의 설계 및 운전 (A Design and Test of a Sea Water Source Heat Pump System)

  • A sea water source cascade heat pump was designed and tested in this study. The system was designed to perform a single stage operation in summer, as well as a cascade operation in winter to ensure the high temperature lift. A steady-state simulation model was developed to analyze and optimize its performance. The simulation results show that the R717 exhibits best performance among combinations considered in this study. A R410A also exhibits the highest performance among HFCs with the smallest compressor displacement. A 15-RT R410A-R134a pilot system was installed in the 5-story commercial building at Samcheok City by the East Sea. A scroll type R410A compressor, a reciprocating type R134a compressor, plate type condenser/ evaporator/ cascade heat exchanger and two electronic expansion valves were used to build a pilot. A titanium plate type heat exchanger is also used for the heat exchanging with a sea water. The heat source/sink water is supplied from the well below the seashore in the depth of 5 m. In the initial test of the system, supply water temperature was rising up to $67^{\circ}C$ using a sea water heat source of $9^{\circ}C$, while an ambient temperature was $4.5^{\circ}C$.

  • Experiments on the condensation heat transfer and pressure drop in the brazed type plate heat exchangers are performed with refrigerants R410A/R22. To investigate the geometric effect, plate heat exchangers with the same pitch and height but different $45^{\circ},\;35^{\circ}and\;20^{\circ}$ chevron angles are used. Varying the mass flux of refrigerant (13~34 kg/$m^2$), the condensing temperatures ($20^{\circ}C\;and\;30^{\circ}C$) and the vapor quality (from 0.9 to 0.15) at the same constant heat flux ($5kW/m^2$), the condensation heat transfer coefficients and pressure drops are measured. The heat transfer coefficients decrease slightly with increasing the condensing temperature at a given mass flux in all plate heat exchangers. The pressure drop increases with increasing the mass flux and the quality and decreasing the condensing temperature and the chevron angle.

낮은 핀관에서 대체냉매의 풀비등 열전달계수 (Pool boiling heat transfer coefficients of alternative refrigerants on low fin tubes)

  • In this study, experiments were carried out to provide nucleate pool boiling heat transfer data for a plain tube and 4 different low fin tubes employing 2 refrigerant mixtures of R410A, R407C, and 12 pure fluids. Low fin tubes were machined on a 19.05mm nominal outside diameter copper block according to the manufacturer's low fin tube specifications. Cartridge heaters were used to generate uniform heat flux on the tubes. For all refrigerants, heat flux varied from 10㎾/$\m^2$ to 80㎾/$\m^2$. It is found that heat transfer coefficients(HTCs) of high vapor pressure refrigerants are usually higher than those of low pressure fluids. On the other hand, the fin effect was more prominent with low pressure refrigerants than with high pressure ones. Optimum fin density as well as the increase in heat transfer coefficient with the increase in fin density were found to be strongly fluid dependent. HTCs of Rl23, a low pressure alternative refrigerant, were similar to those of Rll while HTCs of R134a, an intermediate pressure alternative refrigerant, were roughly 20% higher than those of Rl2. Finally, HTCs of R32, R125, R143a, and R410A were all higher than those of R22 by 30~50%.

공조용 알루미늄 납작관 내의 R-410A 대류 비등 (Convective Boiling of R-410A in an Aluminum Flat Tube for Air-Conditioning Application)

  • 원관 열교환기보다 납작관 열교환기를 사용하면 전열성능을 한층 향상시킬 수 있다. 납작관 열교환기를 적절히 설계하기 위해서는 관 내측 열전달계수를 알아야 한다. 본 실험에서는 수력직경 1.41mm인 알루미늄 납작관 내 R-410A 대류 비등 열전달계수를 구하였다. 실험범위는 질량유속 $200{\sim}600kg/m^2s$, 열유속 $5{\sim}15kg/m^2$, 포화온도 $5{\sim}15^{\circ}C$이다. 실험 결과 열전달계수는 임계 건도를 기점으로 감소함을 보였다. 임계 건도는 열유속이 증가할수록 감소하고, 질량유속이 감소할수록 감소하였다. 이는 높은 열유속 또는 낮은 질량유속에서 대류의 영향이 작게 되고 따라서 조기에 dryout이 발생되기 때문에 나타나는 현상으로 판단된다. 열전달계수는 질량유속이 증가할수록 증가하였다. 그러나 낮은 건도에서는 질량유속의 영향은 미미하였다. 열전달계수는 포화온도가 증가할수록 증가하였다. 하지만 이런 경향은 열유속이 작아지면 감소하였다. Shah와 Kaew-On et al. 상관식은 본 실험자료를 적절히 예측하였다.

  • 가정용 에어컨이나 히트 펌프에 외경 7.0 mm 마이크로핀 튜브가 널리 사용되고 있다. 한편 에어컨이나 히트펌프의 부분 부하 운전시 질량유속은 수십 $kg/m^2s$에 불과하다. 하지만 7.0 mm 튜브에 대한 기존 연구들은 질량유속 $100kg/m^2s$ 이상에서 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 낮은 질량유속 ($50kg/m^2s$에서 $250kg/m^2s$)에서 외경 7.0 mm 마이크로핀 튜브 내 R-410A 증발 열전달 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 중 포화온도는 $8^{\circ}C$, 열유속 $4.0kW/m^2$으로 유지하였다. 비교를 위해 외경 7.0mm 평활관에 대한 실험도 수행하였다. 실험결과 마이크로핀 튜브의 전열촉진비는 질량유속이 감소할수록 증가하다 $150kg/m^2s$를 기점으로 감소함을 보였다. 이는 마이크로 핀튜브 내 유동이 환상류에서 성층류로 변화하기 때문이다. 실험 범위에서 마이크로핀 튜브의 마찰손실과 평활관의 마찰손실은 거의 같게 나타났다. 실험데이터를 기존 상관식의 예측치와 비교하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the field Operation Characteristics of a sea water heat source cascade heat pump system and system applicable to Building. Cascade heat pump system is composed R410A compressor, R134a compressor, EEV, cascade heat exchanger, Plate heat exchanger etc. Building area is $890m^2$ and has five floors above ground. R410A is used for a low-stage working fluid while R134a is for a high-stage. The system could runs at dual mode. One is mode of general R410A refrigeration cycle in summer and the other is cascade cycle. In order to gain a high temperature supply water in winter season, the system is designed to perform a cascade cycle. The filed test results show that the sea water heat source heat pump system exhibits a COP of about 5.5 in cooling mode along with a heating COP of about 4.0 in 1-stage heating mode. Cascade 2-stage heat pump system is enough to supply $60^{\circ}C$ water and heating COP is about 3.0

Condensation Heat Transfer Correlation for Smooth Tubes in Annular Flow Regime

  • Condensation heat transfer coefficients in a 7.92 mm inside diameter copper smooth tube were obtained experimentally for R22, R134a, and R410A. Working conditions were in the range of $30-40^{\circ}C$ condensation temperature, $95-410 kg/m^2s$ mass flux, and 0.15-0.85 vapor quality. The experimental data were compared with the eight existing correlations for an annular flow regime. Based on the heat-momentum analogy, a condensation heat transfer coefficients correlation for the annular flow regime was developed. The Breber et al. flow regime map was used to discern flow pattern and the Muller-Steinhagen & Heck pressure drop correlation was used for the term of the proposed correlation. The proposed correlation provided the best predicted performance compared to the eight existing correlations and its root mean square deviation was less than 8.7%.

고온 가스 질화와 저온 가스 질화 방법에 따른 AISI 410 마르텐사이트 스테인레스강의 경화층 및 마모 특성 (Surface Hardening and Wear Properties of AISI 410 Martensitic Stainless Steel by High & Low Temperature Gaseous Nitriding)

  • High temperature and low temperature gaseous nitriding was performed in order to study of the surface hardening and wear properties of the nitrided AISI 410 Martensitic stainless steels. High temperature gaseous nitiridng (HTGN) was carried out using partial pressure $N_2$ gas at $1,100^{\circ}C$ for 10 hour, and Low temperature gaseous nitiridng (LTGN) was conducted in a gas mixture of NH3 and N2 at $470^{\circ}C$ for 10 hour. The nitrided samples were characterized by microhardness measurements, optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The phases were identified by X-ray diffraction and nitrogen concentration was analyzed by GD-OES. The HTGN specimen had a surface hardness of about $700HV_{0.1}$, $350{\mu}m$ of case depth. A ${\sim}50{\mu}m$ thick, $1,250HV_{0.1}$ hard nitrided case formed at the surface of the AISI 410 steel by LTGN, composed nitrogen supersaturated expanded martensite and ${\varepsilon}-Fe_{24}N_{10}$ iron nitrides. Additionally, the results of the wear tests, carried out LTGN specimen was low friction coefficient and high worn mass loss of ball. The increase in wear resistance can be mainly attributed to the increase in hardness and to the lattice distortion caused by higher nitrogen concentration.

해양온도차발전 Closed and Regeneration Cycle의 기본 정특성 (Basic Static Characteristics of a Closed and a Regeneration Cycles for the OTEC System)

  • OTEC기술은 신재생에너지 기술 중의 하나로 따듯한 표층수와 차가운 심층수의 온도차를 이용하여 전력을 생산하는 기술이다. 작동유체의 선정과 OTEC 사이클의 상태에 따라 에너지효율과 환경적인 측면에 많은 영향을 준다. OTEC의 작동유체로는 ammonia, R22, R407C, R410A가 있다. 본 논문에서는 OTEC 시스템의 최적화를 위해 $25^{\circ}C$에서의 증발압력를 비교하였다. 또한 밀폐사이클과 재생사이클에서의 작동유체에 따른 출력과 효율에 대하여 연구하였다.
