Application of Image Processing Technique to Improve Production Efficiency of Fine Pitch Hole Based on Laser (레이저 미세피치 홀 가공의 생산효율성 향상을 위한 영상처리 측정 기법 적용)

  • Multi-Layer Ceramic Circuit(MLCC) in the face of thousands of fine pitch multi hole is processed. However, the fine pitch multi hole has a size of only a few micrometers. Therefore, in order to curtail the measurement time and reduce error, the image processing measurement method is required. So, we proposed an image processing measurement algorithm which is required to accurately measure the fine pitch multi hole. The proposed algorithm gets image of the fine pitch multi hole, extracts object from the image by morphological process, and extracts the parameters of its position and feature by edge detecting process. In addition, we have used the sub-pixel algorithm to improve accuracy. As a result, the proposed algorithm shows 97% test-retest measurement reliability within 2 ${\mu}m$. We found that the algorithm was wellsuited for measuring the fine pitch multi hole.

  • 본 논문은 고해상도의 영상을 처리하는 이동기기 등에 사용되는 SoC(System On a Chip)에 구현이 용이한 효과적인 화질 향상 (잡음감소와 윤곽강조) 을 위한 방법과 구조에 대한 것이다. 최근 이동기기의 발전과 진화에 따라 여러 형태의 이동기기가 개발되고 있는데 그 중 최근 인기를 끌고 있는 포터블 미디어 플레이어 (PMP)나 HD(Hight Definition)급 camcorder 등이 고해상도의 영상을 처리하는 이동기기로 분류될 수 있다. 이러한 이동기기에서 고해상도 영상에 대한 화질 향상을 기존의 복잡한 방법을 사용해 처리한다면 메모리 대역폭이나 하드웨어 크기 등의 증가로 이동기기에서 구현하는데 어려움이 따른다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 이동기기에서의 고해상도의 화질 향상을 입력영상의 종류에 따라 선택적으로 메모리 대역폭 사용 없이 하드웨어 크기를 최소화하여 FPGA (field programmable gate array)나 ASIC (application specific integrated circuit)으로 구현이 용이하도록 하는 방법과 구조에 대해 설명하고 실제 영상을 가지고 실험한 결과로 주관적 화질 향상 효과를 가져 온 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • VCB, with its big arc extinction in very short switching time, produces the high switching surge voltage which may cause the breakdown of motor insulation or acceleration of insulation deterionation. To protect motor winding insulation, we developed the computer algorithm for simulating the surge occurred in VCB by EMTP. And we established the effect of the C-R surge absorber by the surge measurement in the motor-VCB circuit.

  • In this study, the performance of automatic thermostatic valves according to each heating method of a large scale residential building were researched by simulation. The flow characteristics of the entire pipe networks of the hot water radiant heating system is analized by using linear analysis method. For the analysis of unsteady heat transfer phenomena in each household, the method of using electric equivalent R-C circuit is applied.

  • In ceramic systems, many components including embedded passives and TRL(transmission line) are used for composition of 3-dimensional circuit. So the exact analysis on this components must be performed. As for the TRL's, material properties including electrical conductivity of metal, loss factor and effective dielectric constant of dielectric material and geometrical factors like roughness of surface, vias, dimension of stripline structure have a large effect on the charactersistics of transmission lines. In this research, effect of material and geometrical factors on the characteristics of stripline structure is analyzed and quantified by simulation and measurement.

  • This paper proposes a new modeling method for estimating the impedance of an on-chip power/ground meshed plane. Frequency dependent R, L, and C parameters are extracted based on the proposed method so that the model can be applied from DC to high frequencies. The meshed plane model is composed of two parts: coplanar multi strip (CMS) and conductor-backed CMS. The conformal mapping technique and the scaled conductivity concept are used for accurate modeling of the CMS. The developed microstrip approach is applied to model the conductor-backed CMS. The proposed modeling method has been successfully verified by comparing the impedance of RLC circuit based on extracted parameters and the simulated impedance using a 3D-field solver.

  • In this paper, development of Thermal Printer Head(TPH) controller by using gate array having high reliability and good performance is proposed. Over the 3000 gates are performed to control print image data signals and relative peripheral hardwares. The proposed gate array has TPH control circuit, print control and step motor drive, and print image data control, decoder output control parts. This TPH controller will be a good application to FAX or label printer and barcode printers.

  • In this study, the energy characteristic of automatic thermostatic valves according to each heating method in floor radiant heating system were researched by computer simulation. For the analysis of unsteady heat transfer phenomena in household, the method of using electrical equivalent R-C circuit is applied, and radiation heat transfer between panel, ceiling and walls in household is calculated by enclosure analysis method. The parametric study on heating method, valve's control method, outdoor air condition, supply heating water temperature, supply flow rate are performed to compare energy characteristic, respectively.

  • The harmonic components of a current in the power system have been known to be harmful to the sound operation of the system. Their occurrence is mainly due to the nonlinear characteristics of magnetic materials which are used in the system. This paper has, therefore, numerically analyze the harmonics from the relation between the magnetic characteristic curve and the harmonic components of a current in the R-L-C circuit. It also has suggested a new method of calculating the magnitudes and phase angles of the harmonic components by means of approximate formulas derived here. The method is expected to apply to the determination of harmonics-limiting conditions in case of the design of such power equipments as transformer, reactor and so on.

  • VCB (Vacuum Circuit Breaker), with the strong arc extinction capability in switching the source of an induction motor, occurs the severe switching surge voltage which can cause the breakdown or the deterioration of motor insulation. Therefore, a method which reduces surge voltage across motor windings is necessary. So, it is analyzed that fast-rise-time surges resulting from VCB switching operations give rise to severe voltage stress on turn insulation. Additionally, the switching surge simulation algorithms using EMTP are developed, and C, R values of surge suppressor minimizing the steep-fronted stress in winding insulation surges are calculated.
