The salted and dried mullet(Mugil Japonicus) roe had about 42% of protein and 41% of lipid content as major compoments. Therefore the lipid oxidation and the deterioration of protein occurred during drying and storage periods. In order to keep the good quality of the dried roe, acid, peroxide, thiobarbituric acid value and the contitutional amino acid were studied in the different drying air velocities at the conditions of 60% R.H. and $20^{\circ}C$ of drying air temperature. The optimum air velocity showed 2m/sec, which was excellently superior to the lipid and protein quality than those of other air velocities on the dried mullet roe. The drying period shortened from 20 days in the conventional processing method to 7 days in the modified processing method that had 2m/sec of drying air velocity. The drying rate curve had only a falling-rate drying period and not to have a constant-rate drying period.

We have evaluated structural and electric, ferroelectric properties of PZT(30/70) thick film prepared by using 1,3-propanediol based sol-gel method on Pt/Ti/SiO$_2$/Si substrates. Rapid thermal annealing (RTA) is used to reduce the thermal stress and final furnace annealing is processed at $650^{\circ}C$. As the results of SEM analysis, we find that we get 350 nm in thickness for one coating and 1 $\mu$m for three times of coating. In the results of C-D analysis at 1 kHz, dielectric constant ($\varepsilon$$_{r}$) and dissipation factor were 886 and 0.03, respectively. C-V curve is shaped as a symmetrical butterfly. Leakage current density at 200 kV/cm is 1.23${\times}$10$^{-5}$ A/cm$^2$ and in the results of hysteresis loops measured at 150 kV/cm, the remnant polarization (P$_{r}$) and the coercive field (E$_{c}$) are 33.8 $\mu$C/cm$^2$ and 56.9 kV/cm, respectively. PZT(30/70) thick film exhibits relatively good ferroelectric, electric properties.s..
Anionic peroxidases (POD) were isolated from Korean radish (Raphanus sativus L.) root by using fractionation with $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ and CM-cellulose ion exchange chromatography and used as the colorimetric enzyme for glucose determination. The chromogen used in this work was o-tolidine or 4-aminoantipyrine/diethylaniline (4AA/DEA) and the colored products were measured at 630 nm. Korean radish anionic POD showed much better colorimetric reaction of glucose determination with 4AA/DEA than with o-tolidine. The r values of calibration curve for glucose determination by o-tolidine and 4AA/DEA were 0.9983 and 0.9963, respectively. In order to compare the reactivity for substrate oxidation by Korean radish POD and horseradish POD, the Km values against o-dianisidine and guaiacol were measured. Korean radish POD had about 40 fold higher affinity for o-dianisidine and 2 fold higher affinity for guaiacol as revealed by Km values. These results showed that Korean radish POD could be developed as the colorimetric diagnosis reagent for glucose determination with high sensitivity.
The bioequivalence study of two tiropramide products was evaluated in 16 health male volunteers following intra-muscular injection. Test product was Tiram$^{(R)}$ injection (S Pharm. Co, Ltd.) and reference product was Tiropa$^{(R)}$ injection(D Pharm. Co., Ltd.). The drug concentration in plasma was determined by GC/MS for over a period of 8 hours after injection. Analysis of variance reveal that there are no differences in AUC (area under the plasma concentration-time curve from time zero to infinity), Cmax (maximum plasma concentration) and Tmax (time to reach Cmax). The differences of mean AUC, Cmax and Tmax between two products were 0.73, -1.385 and -12.994%, respectively. Minimum detectable differences (%) at ${\alpha}=0.05$ were all less than 20% given as a guideline (10.05, 17.90 and 19.01% for AUC, Cmax and Tmax, respectively). From these results, the two formulations of tiropramide are bioequivalent and thus, may be prescribed interchangeably.
Conventional aseismic design methods of R/C frame all but disregard the state of damage over the entire building frame. This paper presents an automated damage-controlled design method for R/C frames which aims at an uniform energy dissipation rate throughout the building frame, so that the resulting damage is uniformly distributed as much as possible over all element. The accuracy of the basic hystertic model and the damage model for R/C members is verified by reproducing the experimental load-deformation curves of one-bay one-story frames. Application of this design method to various frame structures indicate that 1) regardless of the structural properties or input earthquake characteristics, damage-controlled frames generally survive more severe earthquake excitations and suffer less damage than conventionally designed frames, and 2) member yielding strength in the lower stories of damage-controlled frames is larger than that for conventionally designed frames, while the trend is opposite in the upper stories.
An effective and specific procedure for confirmation of neomycin, aminoglycoside antibiotic in honey was developed and validated. Honey was adjusted to pH 2 with 0.1M HCl and applied to weak cation-exchange SPE cartridge. Neomycin was eluted with basified methanol. Following separation by ion-pairing liquid chromatography, neomycin was analysed with positive electrospray ionization and MRM mode. Quantification was linear over the range of $5.0{\sim}250.0{\mu}g/kg$ ($r^2$ >0.9951). The precision (R.S.D.) and accuracy (as a bias) of quality control samples in honey ranged 11.5~18.7% and 10.9~20.9%, respectively. Established method can be applied to analysis of neomycin in honey.
This study describes an efficient and facile method for configuration optimum design of structures. One of the ways to achieve numerical shape representation and the selection of design variables is using the design element concept. Using this technique, the number of design variables could be drastically reduced. Isoparametric mapping was utilized to automatically generate the finite element mesh during the optimization process, and this made it possible to easily calculate the derivatives of the coordinates of generated finite element nodes w.r.t. the design variables. For the structural analysis, finite element analysis was adopted in the optimization procedure, and two different techniques(the deterministic method, a modified method of feasible direction; and the stochastic method, a genetic algorithms) were applied to obtain the minimum volumes and section areas for an efficient configuration optimization procedure. Futhermore, spline interpolation was introduced to present a realistic optimum configuration that meet the manufacturing requirements. According to the results of several numerical examples(steel structures), the two techniques suggested in this study simplified the process of configuration optimum design of structures, and yielded improved objective function values with a robust convergence rate. This study's applicability and capability have therefore been demonstrated.

Fracture process of continuous fiber reinforced composites is very complex because various fracture mechanisms such as matrix cracking, debonding, delamination and fiber breaking occur simultaneously during crack growth. If fibers cause crack bridging during crack growth, the stable crack growth and unstable crack growth appear repeatedly. Therefore, it is very difficult to exactly determine tile starting point of crack growth and the fracture toughness at the critical crack length in composites. In this research, fracture toughness test for CFRP was accomplished by using acoustic emission(AE) and recording of tile fracture process in real time by video-microscope. The starting point of crack growth, pop-in point and the point of unstable crack growth can be exactly determined. Each fracture mechanism can be classified by analyzing the fracture process through AE and video-microscope. The more reliable method ior the fracture toughness measurement of composite materials was proposed by using the combination of R-curve method, AE and video microscope.

In this study, an analytical method was developed for residual metamizol in beef and pork using LC/MS/MS. 4-methylaminoantipyrin (MAA), the main metabolite of metamizol was targeted for analysis instead of its parent compound. MAA was simply extracted from meat by acetonitrile, purified and then analyzed by multiple reaction monitoring method (MRM). Standard addition method was used for calibration. The calibration curves showed the linearity of $r^2$ > 0.99 for both matrices included. The developed method was validated by six-time intra-lab tests and inter-lab tests with two other institutes. The validation of the whole procedure for beef showed the intra-lab accuracies of 78-102% (CV 5.5-9.1%) and the inter-lab accuracy of 98% (CV 14%); the intra-lab accuracies of 95-99% (CV 3.9-5.6%) and the inter-lab accuracy of 111% (CV 13%).
Several theoretical soil nonlinear models to predict damping ratio, which is one of the typical dynamic properties of soils, it is impractical to predict damping ratio. The resonant column and torsional shear test(RC-TS) is used to represent the dynamic behavior of soils from intermediate to medium shear strains. A limitation of RC-TS is measure precise shear strain in large strains and the modified equivalent radius($R_{eq}$) was obtained using both modified hyperbolic model and Ramberg-Osgood model. Bonneville clays were tested using RC-TS test to obtain rotation and torque. The measured rotation and torque were then compared with calculated rotation and torque using curve-fitting method. Then, the nonlinear soil model parameters were obtained and the equivalent radius was calculated using the model parameters.
