국내(國內) 신속대응(迅速對應)시스템 도입업체(導入業體)의 판별분석(判別分析) 연구(硏究) (A Study of Discriminant Analysis about Korean Quick Response System Adoption)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the discriminant analysis model of Quick Response system and to examine the detailed relationship between each discriminant factor and Quick Response adoption. In this discriminant analysis model of Quick Response system, firm size, strategic type, product category, fashion trend, selling time and the Quick Response benefits were included as discriminant factors. Onehundred and two subjects were randomly selected for the survey study and discriminant analysis, descriptive analysis, t-test, and x square test were used for the data analysis. The results of this study were: 1. Wilks Lambda and F value support the discriminant analysis model that, taken together firm size, strategic type, product category, fashion trend, selling time and the Quick Response benefits significantly help to explain Quick Response adoption. 2. The importance of discriminant ability was, in order, firm size, the Quick Response benefits, women's wear, fashion trend, analyzer, selling time, reactor, defender and men's wear. 3. The discriminant function had the high hit ratio, so this can be well used for the classification of Quick Response adoption/nonadoption.

How Quick Response affects the Supply Chain Performance

  • Purpose - The goal of this research is to examine the influence of Quick Response on the supply chain performance. Furthermore, this study investigates the potential of Quick Response to be a more advanced form of supply chain collaboration program with extensive information sharing activities. Research design, data, and methodology - The mathematical model is developed to represent the two stage supply chain system with a single manufacturer and one retailer. In the numerical study with the proposed mathematical models, three supply chain systems including the traditional system, Quick Response, and the fully shared information system are compared in terms of their profits. Results - The numerical analysis shows both manufacturer and retailer obtain greater profits under Quick Response than in the traditional system. While the fully shared information outperforms Quick Response as well as the traditional system, it results in lower manufacturer's profit compared with Quick Response. Conclusions - According to the numerical examples, Quick Response is the effective supply chain collaboration program that is beneficial to every supply chain member. The fully shared information system, as a more advanced form of collaboration than Quick Response can bring more benefits to the whole supply chain system, but it is necessary to prepare the proper incentive program that enables every member to share its benefits equally.

Review of Quick Response: Investigation on its Fundamental Role of Supply Chain Collaboration

  • Purpose - This study investigates the key features of Quick Response as the fundamental form of supply chain collaboration by reviewing the selected past studies. Based on the findings from the literature review, this study provides the guideline for future researchers and business practitioners who search for more advanced collaboration programs. Research design, data, and methodology - This study conducts the literature review on the past studies that had researched Quick Response. The selected studies are analyzed in terms of how to represent Quick Response in the models and which issue to address. Results - This study finds that the past studies lack a unified concept of Quick Response, and they fail to provide the consistent guideline on how to run this program in practices. The literature review also shows that only a small number of research issues has been addressed by most researchers. Conclusions - On the purpose of figuring out the real value of Quick Response, this study suggests that future studies apply its extensive application to the entire supply chain system. This study also shed light on the potential of Quick Response to be a more advanced supply chain collaboration program with additional collaborative functions other than information sharing.

  • In this study, response time index(RTI) of standard and quick response type sprinkler head are measured and compared through ramp and plunge test in heated wind tunnel. Also discharge rate and water distribution, actual delivered density(ADD), fire test with wood cribs are performed to compare the fire suppression capability and the operation time and temperature between standard and quick response type sprinkler head.

국내 패션산업의 Quick Response System 추진 현황과 문제점 (Implementation Issues to Quick Response System in Korean Fashion Industry)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of Quick Response adoption, and to recognize the implementation problems of QR system in the Korean fashion industry. We reviewed the theoretical background of QR system, analyzed the current status of QR adoption, and identified critical issues to implement the system in our fashion business environment. Previous literatures and information gained from communication service organizations were used for this study The major problems recognized are lack of inter-organizational information network, closed supply channels, non-standardization of QR implementation, and low level of information technology usage including KAN, POS, and EDI. Strong mutual partnership between streams for shared common goals and clear QR mind setting of top management with commitment to information sharing are considered needed for the successful adoption of QR system in domestic fashion industry.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze how the appreciation or recognition of quick response systems, with the utilization of technology, can improve operations for businesses in the DongDaeMoon fashion market. A survey was conducted from April 25 to May 10 in 2007, among owners and designers of wholesale shops in the DongDaeMoon fashion market. Data was collected from 270 subjects, and general descriptive and comparative statistical analysis was applied to acquire various parameters. Firstly, the product types within the DongDaeMoon fashion market were small and medium quantity batch production systems. The majority of businesses adopted the production strategy of outsourcing through subcontracted factories. To re-order, a fashion merchandising required 2 to 3 days. Secondly, the design sources of fashion merchandises were national fashion brands, popular items within the same industries, and also fashion magazines. New products was made within 4 days after a sample item was received. Business acquaintances were fashion retail shops of DongDaeMoon, and internet or home shopping companies. Thirdly, the recognition of importance and effects of quick response systems was difference between high and low group of the utilization of technology in the DongDaeMoon fashion market.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the current development of Quick Response (QR) system and to identify factors related to QR adoption. A random sample of 250 apparel manufactures were selected from the Korean apparel manufacturers' list Response rate was 41% (m=102) A mail questionnaire was used to investigate the purpose of the study. ANOVAs and Duncan's multiple range tests were used. The results are as follows: 1. The most frequently used technologies were small lot orders and CAD and the least used technology is the electronic order system, 2. Firm size product characteristics(product category fashion change) and CEO's age were significantly related to the usage level of QR technologies.

  • 본 연구는 국내 섬유의류산업의 공급사슬관리 시스템인 QR(Quick Response) 시스템 구현에 웹서비스 기반의 ASP(WS-ASP) 모델을 제시한다. 국내 섬유의류산업은 대부분 중소기업으로 구성되어 있어서 전문 IT인력을 확보하기 어렵고 대규모 IT 투자여력도 없는 형편이다. ASP 모델은 소프트웨어 온 디맨드 서비스를 저렴한 사용 수수료로 제공받을 수 있다는 장점 이 있으나, ASP 벤더에 대한 의존도가 높아 벤더 위험이 크다는 단점이 있다. 본 연구는 WS-ASP모델을 통해 소프트웨어 온 디맨드 서비스를 여러 특화된 WS-ASP벤더에 분산시켜 벤더 위험을 감소시킴으로써 ASP모델의 단점을 보완하여 QR 시스템에 적절함을 제시하였다.

Quick Response 기반의 Moss-Customization 구현을 위한 점포유형에 관한 소비자 태도 연구 (Consumers' Attitude on Textile for Quick Response based Mass-Customization in Marketing Channels)

  • Quick Response based Mass-Customization can be produced and distributed customized goods and services on mass basis in apparel e-business. Because consumers can: t touch and feel the apparel products in e-business, they tend to have the negative buying behavior. The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences of consumer's texture sensibility of apparel products based on marketing channels (on-line/off-line). Two types of questionnaires for on-line and of f-line were used to assess consumer sensibility on apparel fabric. The 8 swatches were selected in regard to the previous literatures. 205 questionnaires for each type (on-line/off-line) were distributed. Statistical devices were t-test, mean and standard deviation with SPSS10.0. The result of this study was showed that there were partially significant differences on consumers' texture sensibility on apparel products between on-line and off-line. Under on-line environment, consumers perceived corduroy as warm, strong, and sandy. taffeta as warm, sandy, and glossy, denim as sandy, and warm, organza as sandy, and thin, satin as sandy, dense, and modern, chiffon as sandy, and flat, velvet as warm, and soft, single jersey as warm, soft, and comfortable. Therefore, apparel firms cooperating based Mass-Customization in e-business have to pay attention to the differences on consumers’ texture sensibility of on-line apparel products from those of off-line.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new electrothermal shield model with slits for the purpose of applying to the Superconducting Generator with Quick-Response Excitation. Via experimental and finite element analysis, we compared the magnetic shielding effects of the proposed electrothermal shield model with the conventional one. It is considered that he proposed models meet the needs for the electrothermal shields of the Superconducting Generator with Quick-Response Excitation.
