  • Backgrounds : Bojungikgitang is one of the most common herbal prescriptions in Oriental Medicine, and it is highly recommended prescription for Nogwonsang syndrome. The Author developed Nogwonsang questionnaire for quantitative evaluation. Nogwonsang questionnaire is consisted of causes that induce fatigue, symptoms that directly associated with fatigue, and secondary symptoms that is induced from fatigue. Purposes : This study aims to verify whether the Bojungikgitang Questionnaire has causality and meaningful path structure by path analysis. Methods : 242 patients from 12 OMD clinics participated in this study. The patients executed a question investigation in the object. Factor analysis was conducted for extraction of factor and abridgment of items. Path analysis was conducted to verify path structure. SPSS 15.0 for Windows and AMOS 7.0 were used for statistical analysis. Results : Overwork factor explains fatigue factor. Coefficient is 0.771. Fatigue factor explains digesting and cold factor. Individually coefficient is 0.632 and 0.465. Model fit is $X^2=61.395$(df=51), GFI=0.960, AGFI=0.939, NFI= 0.924, CFI=0.986, RMSEA=0.029. Path structure is proved to be significant. Conclusions : Further research is needed Gold standard of Nogwonsang. Establishment of Gold standard leads and the collection of data and the research which are objective are possible. Connection of the clinical indexes which are objective on the paperweight outside and leads and the development of the diagnosis tool which is fixed quantity is demanded.

  • Previous scholars have studied Daesoon Jinrihoe mainly through its scriptures and doctrines; however, in this essay I have combined data from a questionnaire with interviews I conducted to observe women's religious engagement from their own perspectives. I conducted my fieldwork from October 23 to 26 at Yeoju Headquarters in Korea and received 81 questionnaire replies. This ongoing project will shed light on the niche for women in Korean new religious movements. This essay is divided into three parts. First, I reviewed 5 articles on general attitudes towards women within Daesoon Jinrihoe to serve as a doctrinal introduction. Second, I used the Ladies Club, the Women's Assembly of the Department of Social Welfare, and female students from the Inter- national Volunteers Association to better understand women's participation and education in Daesoon Jinrihoe on an institutional level. Third, I issued a questionnaire in order to learn respondents' sex, age, educational background, and birth place and used those data points determine patterns in how the above influence religious participation and positions in Daesoon Jinrihoe. My investigation showed that both the self-expectation and division of labor among the followers at Yeoju Headquarter were affected by and corresponded to social gender roles. Moreover, the emphasis on missionary work rather than centralized hierarchy contributed to a reduction in the influence of gender-segregation and led to relative coherence in terms of gender relations within Daesoon Jinrihoe.

  • The aim of this pilot survey was to investigate the presence status, usage problems, and improvement needs of the upper extremity rehabilitation equipment(: UERE) in the department of occupational therapy(: OT) of hospital setting in Korea. The authors received a questionnaires of clinicians working in a department of OT hospital setting through a social network service. Responses of 72 were analyzed in the first questionnaire, and 47 were analyzed in the second questionnaire. In the first questionnaire, the presence status of 16 UERE was confirmed to be 29.2~97.2%, and the usage experience of 9 UERE in the second questionnaire was 36.2~97.9%. In the second questionnaire, UERE's usage problems were reported discomfort in 15(31.9%) of 47 therapists, and improvement needs were 23(49%). The usage problems of the 9 UERE questioned by open-ended questionnaire were uninteresting, easily damaged, level unadjustable, direction unadjustable, and inconvenient installation. The improvement needs were classified into digitization, durability, level adjustable, adjustable function, convenience. The present pilot survey identified the presence status and usage experience of UERE in the department of OT and could be used as a basis for the development of closed-ended questionnaire on usage problems and improvement needs of UERE.

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to determine firefighters' work-related accident rate and investigate the factors affecting their on-site safety. Methods: We developed a web-based self-reported questionnaire designed to inquire into firefighters' work-related accident experience and the factors (4M; Man, Machine, Media, Management) affecting firefighters' on-site safety. We distributed questionnaires to all members of firefighting organizations in South Korea by e-mail and 9,149 were returned, resulting in a response rate of 23.1%. Results: Fifteen point seven percent of the respondents reported work-related injuries within the past one year, and 35.1% answered that current accident investigation reports are not helpful for preventing the same accident from recurring. Among the 4M factors, the one most affecting firefighters' on-site safety in the order of priority is the Man factor, followed by Machine, Media, and Management. However, the results from detailed sub-categorical factors showed some differences. 'Lack of human resources', one of the Management factors, was the most influential (70.3%), followed by 'worn-out equipment' under the Machine factor (67.2%). The viewpoint of elements of the Man factor including 'forgetting instructions' and 'fatigue and illness' were significantly different according to firefighters' rank. The higher the firefighter's rank, the more they answered 'forgetting instructions,' while the opposite was the case for 'fatigue and disease'. Conclusions: The present firefighters' accident investigation report needs to be improved, and the 4M method could prove very useful. In addition, it is necessary to set up a proper firefighters' accident investigation and prevention system.

  • The government is largely responsible for preventing “the tragedy of the common property”, but fisherman's effort fer an autonomous fishery control is equally required. Especially in these days of EEZ such self- regulated fishery management system should be developed and cared for as well. This study aimed to explore a proper management system for coastal fishing ground that now requires the responsible fisheries management by investigating and analysing more drastically the managerial functions of fishery right by Eochon-Gye(the smallest unit of fisheries cooperative based on a fishing village), a typical fishery producer's organization in Korea. We made all Eochon-Gye of the whole country an object of this study and carried out an investigation into Eochon-Gye through a questionnaire. We extracted 359 Eochon-Gye, 20% of the total 1,719 Eochon-Gye as a random sample and investigated these regions through a questionnaire by mail. • As the computer graphic technology has developed rapidly, the management of visual effects production has also changed. However, the insufficient rest and the inefficiency of communication have resulted in more pressure which would weaken the strength of the whole team. For searching the possible solution, this research has applied the SCRUM in VFX production and analyzed the impact of SCRUM for VFX project management. SCRUM was first used in the projects of software development, but now there are already many successful examples of introducing SCRUM into their facilities in various fields. This paper has used SCRUM in the experimental group and present methodology in VFX project management in the control group for the same project. Based on the analysis of the questionnaire investigation from both group with using t-test for data analysis, it has confirmed the credibility of the questions in the questionnaire index as α > 0.72. With the result of analysis based on the corresponding samples of the t-test, it shows the diversity of SCRUM for project management, and the convenience of communication within the team can enhance the team strength. Follow-up research will attend to provide more suggestions for applying SCRUM in other areas in project management.
