A non-rare earth-based strontium-aluminate red light emitting phosphor was synthesized by a solid-state reaction method and the effect of synthesis temperature and Mn4+ activator concentration on the photoluminescence characteristics of the phosphor was studied. The synthesized SrAl2O4:Mn4+ phosphor showed broad band absorption characteristics in the near-ultraviolet and blue regions with peaks at wavelengths of near 330 and 460 nm, and a triple band deep red emission consisted of three peaks at near 644, 658, and 673 nm. The SrAl2O4:Mn4+ phosphor synthesized at a temperature 1600℃ and a Mn4+ activator concentration of 0.5 mol% showed the strongest PL emission intensity, and concentration quenching was observed at concentrations higher than 0.7 mol%. FE-SEM and DLS particle size distribution analysis showed that the synthesized SrAl2O4:Mn4+ phosphor had a particle size distribution of 2~6.4 ㎛ and an irregular spherical shape with an average particle size of ~4 ㎛.
In this study, fine $Gd_2O_2S$:Tb powder was synthesized by using a low temperature solution-combustion method for a high-resolution digital x-ray imaging detector. From the fabricated phosphor power, the fine scintillator films was fabricated by particle sedimentation method and was investigated the luminescent property. From the experimental results of relative light output as a function of terbium concentration, the highest luminescent efficiency has at 5 wt% Tb concentration, and luminescent intensity decreased rapidly according to quenching effect about higher Tb concentration. Also, the relative light output of $270{\mu}m$-$Gd_2O_2S$:Tb film has 2945 pC/$cm^2$/mR. And light intensity was saturated at higher film thickness. Finally, to evaluate an image acquisition performance of fabricated phosphor, images were obtained by using commercial CMOS sensor and measured the MTF, NPS, and DQE. DQE(0 lp/mm) of fine phosphor film has 37%. But, DQE improvement of fine phosphor film is possible by resolving problem of film fabrication process and has a significant potential in the application of digital radiation imaging system later.
Laser surface Melting Process is getting hardening layer that has enough depth of hardening layer as well as no defects by melting surface of substrate. This study used CW(Continuous Wave) Yb:YAG and STD11. Laser beam speed, power and beam interval are fixed at 70mm/sec, 2.8kW and 800um respectively. Hardness in the weld zone are equal to 400Hv regardless of melting zone, remelting zone overlapped by next beam and HAZ. Similarly, microstructures in all weld zone consist of dendrite structure that arm spacing is $3{\sim}4{\mu}m$, matrix is ${\gamma}$(Austenite) and dendrite boundary consists of ${\gamma}$ and $M_7C_3$ of eutectic phase. This microstructure crystallizes from liquid to ${\gamma}$ of primary crystal and residual liquid forms ${\gamma}$ and $M_7C_3$ of eutectic phase by eutectic reaction at $1266^{\circ}C$. After solidification is complete, primary crystal and eutectic phase remain at room temperature without phase transformation by quenching. On the other hand, microstructures of substrate consist of ferrite, fine $M_{23}C_6$ and coarse $M_7C_3$ that have 210Hv. Microstructures in the HAZ consist of fine $M_{23}C_6$ and coarse $M_7C_3$ like substrate. But, $M_{23}C_6$ increases and matrix was changed from ferrite to bainite that has hardness above 400Hv. Partial Melted Zone is formed between melting zone and HAZ. Partial Melted Zone near the melting zone consists of ${\gamma}$, $M_7C_3$ and martensite and Partial Melted Zone near the HAZ consists of eutectic phase around ${\gamma}$ and $M_7C_3$. Hardness is maximum 557Hv in the partial melted zone.
$\textrm{Zn}_{2-x}\textrm{Mn}_{x}\textrm{SiO}_{4}$ green phosphors have been prepared by the solution reaction method and the photoluminescence and crystalline properties were studied as a function of both the firing temperature ($900^{\circ}C$~$1200^{\circ}C$) and the concentration of Mn activator (x=0.01~0.20). Under 147 nm and 254nm and excitation sources, the emission intensity of the phosphors was increased about 4 times increasing firing temperatures from $900^{\circ}C$ to $1200^{\circ}C$. From the XRD analysis, $\textrm{Zn}_{2}\textrm{SiO}_{4}$:Mn phosphors fired above $1100^{\circ}C$ showed willemite crystal structure. Under 147nm excitation, the maximum emission intensity was obtained at the Mn concentration of x=0.02 for $\textrm{Zn}_{2-x}\textrm{Mn}_{x}\textrm{SiO}_{4}$ phosphors fired at $1200^{\circ}C$ and the concentration quenching was occurred at the Mn concentration above x=0.10. The phosphor particles showed almost spherical shapes with the average size of around 2~3$\mu\textrm{m}$ by the SEM morphology.

In Bongseon-ri site, the central type and the local type of the Baekje tombs co-exist together. Many swords with ring pommel which to regional leaders in Seocheon the Beekje government granted are excavated from these tombs. These represent that the regional leaders were controlled by the Baekje government gradually. Four swords with ring pommel and one simple sword are investigated metallurgically and we seek what swords have a function of weapon or what sword produce for grave goods. The simple sword is made by solid carburizing technology and quenching of heat treatment so it's possibly used as a weapon. In contrast, four swords with ring pommel has little chance of weapon because the blade of swords consists of microstructure that have low hardness and the back of swords don't have microstructure can absorb the shock. The most identical characteristic of the simple sword and swords with ring pommel is that they are possible to classify clearly into practical/non-practical tools. Additionally, according to non-metallic inclusion analysis result of these swords, w$\ddot{u}$stite and glass phase are found together. Thus, it is able to say that reduction method in low temperature is applied during smelting process.
It has been found that the as-quenched ribbons of $Sm_{x}Fe_{100-x-y}Ti_{y}(3.8{\leq}x{\leq}11.5,\;3.8{\leq}y{\leq}19.2)$ are composed of metastable $TbCu_{7}-type$ structure, ${\alpha}-(Fe,\;Ti),\;Fe_{2}Ti$ and an unknown phase accompanying strong diffraction line at $d=2.14{\AA}$. The metastable $TbCu_{7}-type$ phase, which was formed by rapid quenching, did not transform fully to the stable phases after annealing at $850^{\circ}C$ for 45 minutes except the one existed in $SmFe_{11}Ti$ melt-spun ribbon. The $SmFe_{11}Ti$ melt-spun ribbon, annealed at $850^{\circ}C$ for 45 minutes in vacuum, was found to be composed of $ThMn_{12}$. $\alpha$-(Fe, Ti) and $Fe_{2}Ti$ phases. The formation of $\alpha$-(Fe, Ti) and $Fe_{2}Ti$ phases in this melt-spun ribbon was due to the evaporation of Sm atoms during the high temperature annealing. The atomic ratios for the surface and the inside of $SmFe_{11}Ti$ melt-spun ribbon annealed in vacuum were $SmFe_{25.8}Ti_{2.6}$ and $SmFe_{11.7}Ti_{1.0}$ respectively. It is thought to be that much of $\alpha$-(Fe, Ti) and $Fe_{2}Ti$ phases exist on the surface of ribbon.
For me1t-spun Fe-Nd-C alloys, variation of phase development and magnetic properties with the variety of alloy compositions and production conditions were investigated. To find out whether hard magnetic $Fe_{14}Nd_2C$ is crystallized direct1y from the melt by rapid quenching, the phase development of the as-spun ribbons spun at various speed was a1so studied. For the ribbons spun at 10m/s, ${\alpha}-Fe$ was the primary crystallization phase followed by the secondary $Fe_{17}Nd_2C$. At 20m/s ${\alpha}-Fe$ was suppressed so that the primary $Fe_{17}Nd_2C$ coexisted with the secondary ${\alpha}-Fe$ and the amorphous phase. Above 30m/s the ribbons were a1most amorphous, and the amorphization was complete at 40m/s. $Fe_{14}Nd_2C$ therefore was not found in as-spun state but obtained after heat treating the ribbons. The effective temperature range ($700{\sim}900^{\circ}C$) in which $Fe_{14}Nd_2C$ can be obtained was wider than that of a cast alloy. An alloy made with the wheel speed of 20 or 30m/s yielded higher coercivities after heat treatment. In iron-rich Fe-Nd-C, the composition range in which a high coercivity (more than 10kOe) is expected is narrow, i.e., 77~78 Fe and 7~8 C(at.%).

Vacuum circuit breaker(VCB) is now emerging as an alternative of gas circuit breaker(GCB) which uses SF6 gas as insulating material whose dielectric strength is outstanding. But we have to reduce SF6 gas because SF6 gas is one of greenhouse gas and efforts to reduce greenhouse gas are now trend of the world. Therefore, we can say VCB is the optimal alternative of GCB because vacuum is environmentally friendly. The vacuum interrupter is the core part of VCB to interrupt arcing current. There are mainly two methods to extinguish arc. One is radial magnetic field (RMF) method and the other is axial magnetic field (AMF) method. We deals with RMF method in this paper. Compared with AMP, RMF arc quenching method has different principle to extinguish arc. In case of RMF method, pinch effect is much larger than AMF method. Because of pinch effect RMF type contact electrodes have the single large spot which is severly damaged and melted while AMF type contact electrodes have small and multiple spots which are slightly damaged and melted. To prevent contact electrode being damaged and melted from high temperature-arc, RMF method uses Lorentz force to move arc. In this paper we calculated and compared the arc driving force of two cases and we analyzed the force acting on each part of arc by means of commercial finite element method software Maxwell 3D. They have 3petals and we considered two cases. One is the case when fixed(upper) and movable(lower) contacts are in mirror arrangement (Case 1). The other is the case when one of two contacts (movable contact) is revolved at maximum angle as possible as it can be (Case 2). And at each case above, we analyzed arc driving force at two positions, position 1 is the closest to the center of contact and position 2 is near the edge of petal on fixed contact. As a result we could find that Case 2 generated stronger arc driving force than Case 1 at position 1. But at position 2 Case 1 generated stronger arc driving force than Case 2. This simulation method can contribute to optimizing spiral-type electrode designs in a view of arc driving force.
In order to develop a new type of nonlinear optical materials or photocatlaysts, Na$_2$O-Nb$_2$$O_{5}$-Te $O_2$ glasses were prepared using conventional melt quenching method, and the crystallization behaviors and optical properties of these glasses was investigated. The optical and physical properties for Na$_2$O-Nb$_2$$O_{5}$-Te $O_2$ glasses are: refractive index, n=2.04$\pm$0.04; density, p (g/㎤)=4.87$\pm$0.58; optical energy band of the transmission cut-off wavelength, E$_{0}$ (eV)=3.14$\pm$0.04. The transparent glass ceramics consisting of the nanocrysatls were obtained when the Na$_2$O-Nb$_2$$O_{5}$-Te $O_2$ glass was first heat-treated at 3$50^{\circ}C$ for 1 h and than at 40$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. A cubic crystalline phase consisting of the nano-crysatls transforms into a stable phase at temperature above 47$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 h.
