  • This paper aims at reviewing the possibility of application over normal or abnormal, detection used by AE, and the characteristics of grinding processes. In this study, when WA-vitri-fied ' resinoid bond grinding wheels:36 kinds of grinding wheel and grinding depth were tuned at the surface grinding, the zone of AE signal generation is theoretically modelled and reviewed by grinding processes. The variation of grinding resistance( F$n^{9}$ $F_{t}$) and AE signal is detected in-process by the use of AE measuring system. The tests are carried out in accordance with grain size and grade of grinding wheels, and work-pieces-STD11 and STD61. According to the experiment's results, the following can be expected;as grinding time passes by, the relation of grinding depth and quantity of AE signal, observing on AE signal and grinding burn suggest the characteristics of grinding processes and evalution on the possibility of control of grinding machine, and monitoring abnormal conditions.e, and monitoring abnormal conditions.

산화탄소나노튜브를 이용한 메탄 하이드레이트 형성 (Effect of Oxidation Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes for Methane Hydrate Formation)

  • Methane hydrate is crystalline ice-like compounds which formed methane gas enters within water molecules composed cavity and each other from physically-bond at specially temperature and pressure condition. $1m^3$ of methane hydrate can be decomposed into the maximum of $216m^3$ of methane gas under standard condition. If these characteristics of hydrate are utilized in the opposite sense, natural gas can be fixed into water in the form of a hydrate solid. Therefore the use of hydrate is considered to be a great way to transport and store natural gas in large quantity. However, when methane hydrate is formed artificially, the amount of gas that is consumed is relatively low, due to the slow reaction rate between water and methane gas. Therefore for practical purposes in the application, the present investigation focuses on increasing the amount of gas consumed by adding chemically oxidized OMWCNTs to pure water. The results show that when 0.003 wt% of oxidation multi-walled carbon nanotubes was added to pure water, the amount of gas consumed was almost four times more than that of pure water indicating its effect in hydrate formation and the hydrate formation time decreased at alow subcooling temperature.

  • A group of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) with specific recognition for chiral (S)-ibuprofen were successfully prepared based on hydrogen bonds, utilizing ${\alpha}$-methacrylic acid as a functional monomer. The IR analysis of MIPs showed that the blue- and red-shifted hydrogen bonds were formed between templates and functional monomers in the process of self-assembly imprinting and re-recognition, respectively. According to UV-Vis analysis, we found that the ratio of host-guest complexes between template molecule and functional monomer was 1:1. The effect of cross-linker's quantity on the polymerization was studied by transmission electron microscope (TEM). The adsorption selectivity experiments indicated that MIPs exhibited higher selectivity to (S)-ibuprofen than those to ketoprofen and (R)-ibuprofen, (S)-ibuprofen's structural analogs.

A Label-Free Fluorescent Amplification Strategy for High-Sensitive Detection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa based on Protective-EXPAR (p-EXPAR) and Catalytic Hairpin Assembly

  • This study presents a fluorescent mechanism for two-step amplification by combining two widely used techniques, exponential amplification reaction (EXPAR) and catalytic hairpin assembly (CHA). Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) engaged in competition with the complementary DNA in order to attach to the aptamer that had been fixed on the magnetic beads. The unbound complementary strand in the liquid above was utilized as a trigger sequence to initiate the protective-EXPAR (p-EXPAR) process, resulting in the generation of a substantial quantity of short single-stranded DNA (ssDNA). The amplified ssDNA can initiate the second CHA amplification process, resulting in the generation of many double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) products. The CHA reaction was initiated by the target/trigger DNA, resulting in the release of G-quadruplex sequences. These sequences have the ability to bond with the fluorescent amyloid dye thioflavin T (ThT), generating fluorescence signals. The method employed in this study demonstrated a detection limit of 16 CFU/ml and exhibited a strong linear correlation within the concentration range of 50 CFU/ml to 105 CFU/ml. This method of signal amplification has been effectively utilized to create a fluorescent sensing platform without the need for labels, enabling the detection of P. aeruginosa with high sensitivity.

If these characteristics of hydrate are reversely utilized, natural gas is fixed into water in the form of hydrate solid. Therefore the hydrate is considered to be a great way to transport and store natural gas in large quantity. Especially the transportation cost is known to be 18~24% less than the liquefied transportation. However, when methane hydrate is formed artificially, the amount of consumed gas is relatively low due to a slow reaction rate between water and methane gas. In this study, for the better hydrate reaction rate, there is make nano fluid using ultrasonic dispersion of carbon nano tube. and then, Experiment with hydrate formation by nano fluid and methane gas reaction. The results show that when the carbon nano tubes of 0.004 wt% was added to pure water, the amount of consumed gas was about 300% higher than that in pure water and the hydrate formation time decreased.

한국(韓國)의 물가모형(物價模型) (A Long Run Classical Model of Price Determination)

  • 본고(本稿)에서는 물가변동(物價變動)의 구조(構造), 주요거시정책변수(主要巨視政策變數)의 변동이 물가에 미치는 영향 및 파급구조(波及構造) 등을 파악하고 물가안정을 위한 적절한 정책대응방안을 제시하기 위하여 물가모형(物價模型)을 작성하였다. Keynesian 거시경제모형(巨視經濟模型) 형태로 작성하되, 임금(賃金), 이자율(利子率), 물가(物價)와 같은 주요가격변수(主要價格變數)를 내생화(內生化)하고 잠재(潛在)GNP의 추정 역시 내생화(內生化)함으로써 가격 및 실물변수의 장기적(長期的) 상호변동관계(相互變動關係)를 파악하였다. 어떠한 충격에 의해 초과수요(超過需要)(실질GNP-잠재GNP)가 변화하면 이는 임금(賃金), 금리(金利), 물가(物價), 실질실효환율(實質實效換率) 등과 같은 가격변수에 영향을 미치고 이는 다시 초과수요(超過需要)를 변동시키는 실물(實物)-가격(價格)-실물(實物)의 순환변동관계(循環變動關係)에 의해 물가가 변동되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 모형(模型)은 Keynesian모형(模型)이나, 장기(長期)에는 고전파적(古典派的)(Classical) 정책함의를 가지는바, 통화공급증가(通貨供給增加), 재정지출증가(財政支出增加), 환율절하(換率切下) 등은 단기(短期)에는 경기부양효과를 가지나 장기(長期)에는 이러한 경기부양효과가 소멸되는 반면 물가(物價)는 높은 수준을 유지하는 결과를 초래하는 것으로 나타났다.

종이의 구조 특성에 미치는 미세섬유의 영향 (The Influence of Pulp Fines on Paper Structural Characteristics)

  • Paper has fibers and fines network structure and it is strongly affected by interface bond-ing between fibers. Paper structural properties can be determined depending on the inter-fiber bonding. Fines play an important role in Campbell and consolidation effect through wet pressing and drying operations. The fines are essential for the formation of bonds between fibers and for the improvement of strength properties of papers. Since the fines are components of the pulp, there are always two factors to be considered: the quality and quantity of the fines. The quality of fines might be a potential variable to give a more accurate picture of the papermaking potential of the pulp. The object of this study is to investigate the effect of different types of pulp fines on the properties of paper and to access the potential of fines for controlling the bulk of paper. Refined Sw-BKP, Hw-BKP and BCTMP fines were used to investigate the fines effect. Wet-web strength, breaking length, scattering coefficient, and hydrodynamic specific volume, and drying shrinkage were measured. According to the results, chemical and morphological compositions of fines do not strongly affect to wet-web forming by their similar Campbell effect, but strongly affect to drying operation which forms hydrogen bonding among fiber-fines-fiber matrixes. Paper bulk should be controlled by the extent of hydrogen bonding between fibers during drying operation.

Hydroxyapatite-collagen 나노복합재료에서의 불균질 핵생성 (Heterogeneous Nucleation of Hydroxyapatite-collagen Nanocomposite)

  • 공침법을 이용하여 수산화아파타이트[HAP]-콜라겐[COL] 나노복합재료를 제조하였다. HAP 결정과 COL 분자 사이의 화학결합형성을 확산반사법 FT-IR 및 투과전자현미경(TEM) 관찰로부터 확인하였다. 제조 시에 첨가되는 콜라겐 단백질의 농도가 높으면 미세한 아파타이트 나노결정의 콜라겐 복합체가 만들어지고 첨가되는 단백질의 농도가 낮으면 아파타이트 결정이 비교적 크게 발달하였다. FT-IR과 전자선 회절(electron diffraction)로부터 콜라겐 매체에 발달된 아파타이트 결정입자 들은 콜라겐 분자의 c 축을 따라 정렬하는 것임을 알 수 있었다. 칼슘이온 농도와 인산이온 농도를 일정하게 유지하는 수용액 계에 용해되어 있는 콜라겐 단백질의 농도는 아파타이트 결정의 발달을 위한 불균질 핵생성 위치를 제공하는 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 콜라겐의 농도가 높으면 칼슘이온(Ca$^{2+}$)에 대한 핵생성을 위한 활성화 위치를 많이 제공하게 되며, 이는 핵생성 위치에 대한 칼슘이온 농도가 상대적으로 낮아지는 것에 대응하게 된다.

가소성 선형 성형폭약 제조를 위한 설계변수에 관한 연구 (Design Parameters for Development of flexible Linear Shaped Charge)

  • 구조물의 해체 대상이 철근 콘크리트에서부터 강구조물에 이르기까지 다양화되고 있다. 이러한 강 구조물의 해체는 최근 국내에서도 증가추세이다. 강 구조물을 해체하는데 이용되는 가소성 성형 폭약의 경우 그 대부분이 외국에서 수입되는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 가소성 성형폭약의 국산 개발을 위해 최적 설계 변수설정을 위한 연구를 수행하였는데 그 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 라이너 재질로는 알루미늄이나 납보다는 구리가 우수하고 그 굽힘각도는 45$^{\circ}$, 60$^{\circ}$, 120$^{\circ}$보다 90$^{\circ}$일 때 가장 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 이외에도 폭약량에 따른 라이너의 두께, 최적이격거리등을 검토하였으며 폭약 및 라이너는 가소화시켜 해체 대상 강 구조물의 형태에 따라 결합력을 증대시키는 것이 효과적이다.

태생기 및 신생기의 Phosphatidylcholine 보충기 기억력 향상에 미치는 영향 -전뇌기저부의 Choline성 신경세포 활성에 관한 연구- (Evidence of Memory Improvement by Phosphatidylcholine Supplement at Fetus and Neonate -Studies of Basal Forebrain Cholinerge Neuronal Activities-)

  • To investigate the effect of dietary phosphatidylcholine(PPC) supplement on memory improvement, biochemical study on the brain, and morphometric studies on the cholinergic neurons in the rat basal forebrain were undertaken. The pregnancy rats were divided into the normal control, the choline deficient and the PPC supplemental groups according to quantity of the PPC in diet. According to choline deficiency and PPC supplement after birth, the neonate rate of the normal control group were subdivided into the control diet(N-N) and the PPC supplied (N-S) groups, the choline deficient group were subdivided into the continually deficient (D-D), the control diet(D-N) and the PPC supplied groups(D-S), and the PPC supplemental group were subdivided into the control diet (S-N)and the continually supplied (S-S)group. The PPC supplemented diet was added 2% egg PPC in AIN 76 formula diet. PPC concentrations and cholinesterase(CE) activities were measured in the serum, the liver and the brain, respectively. Immunohistochemical stains for choline acetyltransferase(ChAT) was employed for the morphological and morphometric studies. The maze test was undertaken to evaluate memory improvement. PPC concentration and CE activities in the serum, liver and the brain were high in the PPC supplemental groups and low in the choline deficient groups. ChAT immunoreactivity neurons at the medial septal diagonal bond complex and the basal forebrain nucleus of Meynert were reduced in the choline deficient groups. Average failure rate for the maze test was the lowest in the S-S group and the highest in the D-D group. Insufficient choline suppley during the neuronal development would result in cholinergic neuronal damage, which could be prevented by adequate PPC supplement. It is consequently suggested that PPC supplement may be effective on memory improvement by maintaining the cholinergic neuronal activity in the basal forebrain of the rats.
