4D models help construction planners to develop and evaluate construction plans. However, current analyses using 4D models are mainly visual and limit the quantitative comparison of construction alternatives. This paper explores the usefulness of extracting quantitative information from 4D models to support time-space analyses. We use two 4D models of an industry test case to illustrate how to analyze 4D content quantitatively (i.e., work space areas and distances between concurrent activities). This paper shows how these two types of 4D content can be extracted from 4D models to support 4D-based-analysis and novel presentation of construction planning information. We suggest further research to formalize the content of 4D models to enable comparative quantitative analyses of construction planning alternatives. Formalized 4D content will enable the development of reasoning mechanisms that automate 4D-model-based analyses and provide the information content for informative presentations of construction planning information.

Bandiburichodang (BDC) is a new variety of Zea mays L. Total polyphenol content (TPC) assay and quantitative analysis of ferulic acid (FA) were performed to determine the steaming, roasting conditions of BDC kernels that lead to the highest content. TPC levels increased after roasting under all conditions. TPC levels in samples steamed at 115 ℃ for 25 min were 3.157 mg/g before roasted, and increased to 3.825 and 4.739 mg/g after roasting at 160 and 200 ℃, respectively. Whether BDC kernels were roasted was relevant with TPC content. BDC kernels were extracted to perform quantitative analysis of FA. Roasting temperature affected FA content: the higher the temperature, the lower the content. BDC kernels that were steamed at 115 ℃ for 25 min had 0.178 mg/g of FA content before roasting, and levels decreased to 0.132 and 0.115 mg/g after roasting. Under different roasting conditions, FA content decreased 15 to 50%. We hypothesize that this phenomenon is due to a breakdown of phenolic compounds or cell wall disruption.

The article discusses the results of a quantitative analysis of open educational resources in the field of information technology. Study is based on a study of the content of ten platforms that provide access to open resources (OPs). To achieve this goal, we used the following methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of Internet sources to determine the popularity of educational platforms and resources on them; quantitative data analysis to determine the relative proportion of IT courses in various parameters: the relative weight of courses in the IT field in general and on each platform in particular, the language of instruction, the quantitative content by thematic areas. The following platforms providing access to open educational resources were subjected to quantitative analysis: Coursera, Edx, Udemy, MIT OpenCourseWare, OpenLearn, Intuit, Prometheus, UoPeople, Open Learning Initiative, Maidan Open University.
To differentiate the quality of Korean ginseng from those of other habitats, the quantitative analysis of free amino acids(FAA) and total amino acids(TAA) in addition to ginsenoside Rb1 and Rg1 was carried out using amino acid analyzer and HPLC, respectively. FAA pattern in Korean ginseng was much different from that of Panax notoginseng. The difference in total content of FAA was also found that Korean ginseng contained 26.3-39.8mg/g while Panax notoginseng contained 6.5mg/g. This FAA content had a tendency to increase with the age of radix. The contents of FAA and TAA in Korean ginseng(6 years old) from Kumsan were shown to be the highest than other ginseng origins tested. The content in the 6 years Panax ginseng from China was about same with that of 4 years Korean ginseng of Kumsan. However, regarding to gisenoside Rbl and Rg1, which have been accepted as the characteristic components of Panax ginseng-Panax notoginseng showed considerably higher content than those of any other ginseng origin.
A quantitative phase analysis method of X-ray powder diffraction was studied to determine the mineral content of clay-rich rocks practically as well as effectively. For quantitative X-ray powder diffraction analysis of the clay-rich rocks, it is necessary to prepare whole-rock powder samples with a random orientation by side mounting method. In addition, for the identification of the clay minerals in the rock, it is required to prepare an oriented mount specimen with a clay particle size of 2 ㎛ or less, ethylene glycol treatment, and heat treatment. RIR (reference intensity ratio) and Rietveld method were used for the quantitative analysis of the clay-rich rocks. It was possible to obtain the total clay and the non-clay minerals contents from the whole-rock X-ray diffraction profiles using the RIR values. In addition, it was possible to calculate the relative content of each clay mineral from the oriented X-ray diffraction profiles of the clay particle size and assign it to the total clay. In the Rietveld method of whole-rock X-ray diffraction, effective quantitative values were obtained from the Rietveld diffraction patterns excluded the region of less than 10 degrees (2θ). Similar quantitative values were shown in not only the RIR but the Rietveld methods. Therefore, the analysis results indicate a possibility of a routine quantitative analysis of clay-rich rocks in the laboratory. However, quantitative analysis of clay minerals is still a challenge because there are numerous varieties of clay minerals with different chemical and structural characteristics.
The microstructure of Ni-YSZ composite as an anode of SOFC was investigated as a function of Ni content(10-70 vol%) in order to examine the correlation between microstructural-and electrical property. Image analysis based on quantitative microscopy theory was performed to quantify the microstructural property. We could get the informations about the size and distribution, contiguity and interfacial area of each phase or between the phases from the image analysis. According to the image analysis, contiguity between the same phae was mainly dependent on the amount of the phase while the contiguity between different phases was additionally influenced by the microstructural changes, especailly by the coarsening of the Ni phase. The whole length of pores perimeter was increased as Ni content increased, which indicated the overall microstructural evolution was mostly related with the coarsening of Ni phase. Ni-Ni interfacial area was also gradually increased as Ni content increased but controlled by pore phase at low Ni content region and by YSZ phase at intermediate Ni content region. These quantified microstructural properties were used to characterize the electrical properties of Ni-YSZ composite.

Even though the notice No. 2010-11 of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety Administration that has been applied to analyze the content of the water soluble residue eluted from multi-layer paperboard was abolished in 2011, its application for the analysis on evaporation residue is still valid. There are very high possibilities that the noticed existing method gives the misleading result on the evaporation residue due to the water soluble starch eluted from the multi-layer paperboard. The quantitative analysis on water-soluble residue with starch content correction has been carried in the study using UV/Vis spectroscopy and HPLC. The UV/Vis spectroscopy absorbance analysis showed the large amount of the oxidized starch obtained from the aqueous residue eluted out of the multi-layer paperboard after the iodine, ${\alpha}$-amylase reaction, and starch hydrolysis. The residual content decreased by the correction through the enzyme hydrolysis.
Objective : In this study, we performed quantitative comparison on the content of 10 marker compounds in cinnamon barks from different species and found chemical discrimination between genuine Cinnamomum cassia and other Cinnamomum species (Non C. cassia). Methods : Cinnamon bark samples were extracted using the ultrasonication in 100% methanol for 30 minutes. The samples were analysed using high-performance liquid chromatography with statistical analysis. Results : The analytical method developed in this study met all validation criteria and was applied to the quantification of the 10 marker compounds in cinnamon bark samples. The major chemical discrimination of C. cassia were identified as low content of epicatechin and eugenol, and high contents of benzaldehyde, cinnamaldehyde and cinnamic acid compared to other Non C. cassia samples. Especially, among other compounds, the content of cinnamaldehyde was the highest in the C. cassia and Non C. cassia samples. The result of principal component analysis showed that the samples of C. cassia and Non C. cassia were clearly differentiated via benzaldehyde, cinnamaldehyde, cinnamic acid, eugenol, and epicatechin, which influenced on clustering C. cassia and Non C. cassia samples. Conclusion : C. cassia and Non C. cassia samples were chemically discriminated using the quantitative HPLC analysis. Based on this, it is possible to control the quality of herbal medicines containing Cinnamomi Cortex. It is necessary to further improve the accuracy of discrimination between C. cassia and Non C. cassia species to evaluate cinnamon bark quality.
In this study, we have investigated the HPLC analysis methods and quantitative analysis of standard compounds for quality standardization of a medicinal crude drug GCSB-5, a herbal formulation consisting of 6 medicinal plants (Acanthopanacis Cortex, Achyranthis Radix, Ledebouriellae Radix, Cibotii Rhizoma, Glycine Semen, Eucommiae Cortex) which are used in traditional medicine to treat various bone disorders. HPLC analysis methods of acanthoside D(Acanthopanacis Cortex), 20-hydroxyecdysone(Achyranthis Radix) which were known standard compounds among 6 medicinal plants were developed on crude material and product. And validation of HPLC analysis methods were conformed for verification of HPLC methods by check to specificity, linearity, intra-day precision, inter-day precision and accuracy following ICH guideline. Content of acanthoside D and 20-hydroxyecdysone on raw material of GCSB-5 were decided at 0.577-0.578 mg/g and 0.311-0.312 mg/g. And we confirmed that content of acanthoside D and 20-hydroxyecdysone on GCSB-5 preparation were 0.302-0.303 mg/capsule and 0.113-0.115 mg/capsule.
The leaves of Diospyros kaki Thunb. were used to treat heart disease and hypotension in traditionally East Asia. The purpose of this study is to simultaneously quantitiative analyze the content of flavonoids in leaves of D. kaki. The isolated flavonoids from the leaves of D. kaki, and the structure of the isolated flavonoids were analyzed based on 1H and 13C NMR spectrum compared to literature data. Simultaneous quantitative analysis of the isolated flavonoids was validated using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Results showed that the calibration curves of the flavonoid compounds were confirmed that they have a large linearity with a correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.99. In the intra-day and inter-day analysis, accuracy and precision of five compounds were measured that accuracy was 94.39 to 114.47% and precision was less than 3.00%. Content analysis showed hyperoside (1.30 ± 0.09%), astragalin (0.81 ± 0.06%), trifoline (1.58 ± 0.07%), quercetin (0.13 ± 0.02%) and kaempferol (1.33 ± 0.25%).
