Comparing with Quantification Analysis of Car-Accident Traits and Personality Types (자동차 사고성향의 수량화 분석과 성격특성의 비교)

  • 본 연구는 다변량 통계분석을 이용하여 자동차사고성향에 대한 공통적인 특성을 찾아내고 그것이 심리적 성격특성과 관련이 있는가를 분석하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 학생집단, 일반인집단 그리고 운전기사집단의 성격적 특성과 자동차사고경험 혹은 그 가능성을 비교 검토하였다. KG식 일반생활질문지에 의한 설문분석결과에 따르면 사고친화성향에 따라 2개의 집단으로 분류하는 것이 타당하다고 판단되었고, 수량화분석에 의해서도 집단을 구분할수 있었지만 일반인과 운전자 집단간에는 차이가 있었다.

  • 사회과학분야에서 인자분석을 실시하는 경우 제1인자의 사전정의는 연구대상분야에서의 확립된 지식 또는 전제에 의해 나온다. 예컨대 고등학교 학생들을 대상으로 국어, 영어, 수학, 사회, 과학 등의 과목성적을 측정하여 인자분석을 하는 경우 사전적으로 제 1인자를 이 과목들의 단순평균에 의해 생성되는 일반지능으로 정의하는 것이 자연스럽다. 즉 다양한 사회과학분야에서 인지분석을 행함에 있어 선행 연구나 연구자의 사전지식 또는 가설 등에 의해 제1인자를 전제하는 경우 후속되는 나머지 인자를 자료에서 찾아냄으로써 인자분석을 완성하고자 하는 것이 본 연구의 기본 내용이다.

  • RNA is a polymeric molecule implicated in various biological processes, such as the coding, decoding, regulation, and expression of genes. Numerous studies have examined RNA features using whole transcriptome sequencing (RNA-seq) approaches. RNA-seq is a powerful technique for characterizing and quantifying the transcriptome and accelerates the development of bioinformatics software. In this review, we introduce routine RNA-seq workflow together with related software, focusing particularly on transcriptome reconstruction and expression quantification.

  • Discrete variable을 갖는 Mean Field Theory(MFT) neural network은 이미 많은 combinatorial optimization 문제에 적용되어져 왔다. 본 논문에서는 이를 확장하여 continuous variable을 갖는 mean field annealing을 제안하고, 이러한 network에서 integral로 표현되는 spin average를 mean field에 기초하여 어렵지 않게 구할 수 있는 one-variable stochastic simulated annealing을 제안하였다. 이런 방법으로 multi-body problem을 single-body problem으로 바꿀 수 있었다. 또한 이 방법을 이용한 응용으로서 통계학에서 잘 알려진 문제중의 하나인 quantification analysis 문제에 적용하여 타당성을 보였다.

  • DNA is known as the genetic material in cells. Various environmental factors can cause DNA damages. One of them is sunlight. The life on earth depends on the sunlight, but on the other hand, the UV light in sunlight can cause skin DNA damages. When these damages are not fully repaired before replication, they can lead to mutations of oncogenes and tumour suppressor gene and result in photo carcinogenesis, in the end, skin cancer.(omitted)

  • 여러 단계를 걸쳐 이루어지는 RNA-seq 분석 과정을 한 번에 처리할 수 있는 shell script 파이프라인을 구축하였다. 연구자들로 하여금 trimming, quality control, mapping, assembly, quantification 등 개별 과정을 거치지 않고, 한 줄의 커맨드 라인(command line) 만으로 유전자 발현량과 상대적 발현량 차이를 확인할 수 있는 fold change(FC) 값까지 얻을 수 있도록 하였다.

Accurate Metabolic Flux Analysis through Data Reconciliation of Isotope Balance-Based Data

  • Various techniques and strategies have been developed for the identification of intracellular metabolic conditions, and among them, isotope balance-based flux analysis with gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/ MS) has recently become popular. Even though isotope balance-based flux analysis allows a more accurate estimation of intracellular fluxes, its application has been restricted to relatively small metabolic systems because of the limited number of measurable metabolites. In this paper, a strategy for incorporating isotope balance-based flux data obtained for a small network into metabolic flux analysis was examined as a feasible alternative allowing more accurate quantification of intracellular flux distribution in a large metabolic system. To impose GC/MS based data into a large metabolic network and obtain optimum flux distribution profile, data reconciliation procedure was applied. As a result, metabolic flux values of 308 intracellular reactions could be estimated from 29 GC/ MS based fluxes with higher accuracy.

  • A PC window-based computer code, CONPAS(CONtainment Performance Analysis System), has been developed to integrate the numerical, graphical and results-operation aspects of Level 2 probabilistic safety assessments (PSA) for nuclear power plants automatically. As a main logic for accident progression analysis, it employs a concept of the small containment phenomenological event tree(CPET) helpful to trace out visually individual accident progressions and of the large supporting event tree(LSET) for its detailed quantification. Compared with other existing computer codes for Level 2 PSA, the CONPAS code provides several advanced features: computational aspects including systematic uncertainty analysis, importance analysis, and sensitivity analysis, reporting aspects including tabling and graphic, and user-friend interface.

A Quantitative Analysis Method for Studing AKD Hydrolysis (AKD 가수분해 연구를 위한 정량분석 방법)

  • In order to set up a proper AKD quantification method for studing AKD hydrolysis, a quantitative analysis method using Uv/vis spectroscopy was evaluated and compared to the conventional GC-MS analysis. Hydrolysis rates of AKD emulsions during storage at 4$0^{\circ}C$ were measured by the UV/vis analysis. Owing to its simplicity and capability of measuring the unreacted AKD significantly even in a small amount, UV/vis method proved to be more suitable for studing AKD hydrolysis than GC-MS analysis. AKD hydrolysis was affected by the types of emulsifiers. Polymer stabilized AKD emulsion hydrolyzed more rapidly than starch stabilized AKD.
