네트워크 보안 효율성 제고를 위한 보안 QoS(Quality of Service) 측정방법론 연구 (A Study of Security QoS(Quality of Service) Measurement Methodology for Network Security Efficiency)

  • QoS(Quality of Service)는 ITU-T Rec. E.800에 의해 서비스를 사용하는 형태, 특성 그리고 요구 수준에 따라 사용자의 요구에 부응하여 제공할 수 있는 네트워크 서비스의 성능지표로 표현된다. 네트워크를 활용하는 정보시스템에서 최종적인 목표는 요구되는 시간내에 목적하는 성능을 확보하는 것이다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 보안 QoS 프레임워크는 측정 메트릭스, 측정스케쥴, 측정도구, 측정의순서, 측정 결과분석에 관련된 사항으로 구성된다. 보안 QoS에서 네트워크보안의 정보보호기능과 시스템기능을 분리하여 관리하지 않고 연계하여 종합 메커니즘으로 구성 및 적용할 경우 종합적인 정보보호 효율은 시너지효과로 나타난다. 본 연구는 정보보호기능과 제반 시스템기능을 연계하여 정보보호기능을 적용했을 경우의 연동메커니즘 구현방법 개발과 그 성과를 측정하기 위한 것이다. 본 연구에서 제안한 네트워크 보안 효율성 제고를 위한 보안 QoS측정방안 연구 방법론을 통해 체계적인 측정환경을 설계할 경우 운용시스템상에서 보안 효율성 측정이 가능함이 입증되었고 측정 메커니즘을 통해서 개선된 네트워킹기능과 정보시스템 기능을 위한 효율성제고 방법론 개발이 가능함을 보여주고 있다.

Evidence-based herbal medicine in efficacy and safety assessments

  • Herbal medicine is the use of medicinal plants for prevention and treatment of diseases: it ranges from traditional and popular medicines of every country to the use of standardized and tritated herbal extracts. Generally cultural rootedness enduring and widespread use in a traditional medical system may indicate safety, but also efficacy of treatments, especially in herbal medicine where tradition is almost completely based on remedies containing active principles at very low and ultra low concentrations or relying on magical-energetic principles. The efficacy and safety assessments of medicines, whether modern or herbal, invariably encounter challenges or problems during the course of pre-clinical and clinical research. Some of the challenges in evidence-based herbal medicinal research are unique, and the researcher must be cognizant of them in order to safeguard the quality of the data obtained. Key challenges are: the quality of raw materials; appropriateness of biological/pharmacological activity assessment methodology, and data interpretation; standardization methodology; pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of active constituents and metabolites; clinical dosage formulation/production; and clinical study designs and outcome measures.

CIM환경을 위한 공정품질정보시스템 개발 (Development of a Process Quality Information System for the CIM Environment)

  • A Process Quality Information System (PQIS) for the CIM environment is presented. The system includes three subsystems which are qualify control, statistical analysis, and information management. As part of CIM, the PQIS was designed by using the ICAM Definition(IDEF) methodology. The Oracle-CDE was utilized as a graphic development tool which made the system more user friendly. PQIS operates on IBM or compatible PCs under MS-Windows and Oracle DBMS. The methodology developed in this research provides a foundation for the application of CIM subsystems.

한국형 고장률 데이터 북 개발에 대한 연구 (A Study on Development of Korean Failure Rate Databook)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research is to propose procedure and methodology for developing failure rate databook which is suitable for Korean operation environment. Methods: To this end, we investigate failure databooks used in foreign countries and study the procedure and methodology for collecting failure data, organizing the data, estimating failure rate and summarizing results. Results: We develop the procedure of development of failure databook, the items for data collection, database schema of part details and part summary and contents of failure databook by considering the application environment in Korea. Conclusion: The results of our research could be utilized for the development of Korean failure rate databook and research of reliability prediction model and could ultimately contribute to improve the accuracy of reliability prediction.

Do Quality-Focused Retailer Brand Types Contribute to Building Store Loyalty in Korea?

  • Purpose - The research aim is to shed empirical light on whether quality-focused retailer brands such as Premium brand of Tesco Korea, Prime of Lotte Mart, and Best of E-Mart in the grocery market, make a contribution to developing store loyalty in the Korean market particularly. Research design, data, methodology - After developing sixconstructs, such as higher quality, stock availability, price levels, national brands, retailer brand attitudes, and store loyalty, the authors adopted exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, chi-square test and structural equation modelling as a research technique. Results - It was found that higher quality strongly influences the retailer brand attitude formation, and that retailer brand customers were sensitive to price levels. Buyers are, nevertheless, relatively less aware of price levels, when purchasing quality-oriented retailer brand types. Conclusions - The research implied that quality-oriented retailer brand types make a significant contribution to retailer brands attitude formation, and further, building store loyalty.

사용자 리뷰 분석을 통한 제품 요구품질 도출 방법론 (Methodology for Deriving Required Quality of Product Using Analysis of Customer Reviews)

  • Recently, as technology development has accelerated and product life cycles have been shortened, it is necessary to derive key product features from customers in the R&D planning and evaluation stage. More companies want differentiated competitiveness by providing consumer-tailored products based on big data and artificial intelligence technology. To achieve this, the need to correctly grasp the required quality, which is a requirement of consumers, is increasing. However, the existing methods are centered on suppliers or domain experts, so there is a gap from the actual perspective of consumers. In other words, product attributes were defined by suppliers or field experts, but this may not consider consumers' actual perspective. Accordingly, the demand for deriving the product's main attributes through reviews containing consumers' perspectives has recently increased. Therefore, we propose a review data analysis-based required quality methodology containing customer requirements. Specifically, a pre-training language model with a good understanding of Korean reviews was established, consumer intent was correctly identified, and key contents were extracted from the review through a combination of KeyBERT and topic modeling to derive the required quality for each product. RevBERT, a Korean review domain-specific pre-training language model, was established through further pre-training. By comparing the existing pre-training language model KcBERT, we confirmed that RevBERT had a deeper understanding of customer reviews. In addition, all processes other than that of selecting the required quality were linked to the automation process, resulting in the automation of deriving the required quality based on data.

  • Continuous quality improvement (CQI) has been promoting progresses of the social, and which is being studied and applied in much more widespread area at present. This paper systematically studies and reports research results of continuous quality improvement, involved in several key viewpoints of CQI such as the background of management and engineering philosophy on CQI, the objectives of CQI, the ways to implement CQI, the objects of CQI based on process. In terms of management methodology, the results of discussion on Benchmarking & CQI, standardization management and its certification & CQI, TQM pyramid & CQI and self-assessment & CQI etc. are reported. In quality engineering field, CQI culture of variation reduction is presented. Actually this paper is a comprehensive research project report of 'Continuous Quality Improvement System', supported jointly by NSFC and KOSEF.

Does Accruals Quality Influence Management Choice on Disclosure Contents?

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the relation between accruals quality and managers' choice on the type of voluntary disclosure. Design/methodology/approach - Samples of this study are 8,248 firm-year observations listed in Korea Stock Exchange. Poisson regression analysis was hired in order to analyze the association between disclosure frequency and accruals quality because the dependent variables are count data. Findings - First, this study finds that managers' use of non-earnings-related type of voluntary disclosure is negatively related to accruals quality while their use of earnings-related disclosure is positively related to accruals quality. Second, discretionary accruals quality as well as innate accruals quality is significantly associated with disclosure frequency. Research implications or Originality - This study extends the line of research by incorporating the content of voluntary disclosure, earnings- and non-earnings-related information. The results of this study suggest that accruals quality may play a role in the choice of disclosure manner when investigating managers' voluntary disclosure.

  • NGN 운용과정의 품질 보증을 위해 어떤 체계하에서 품질이 테스트 되어야 하는지 방법론을 도출하기 위해서 멀티미디어 트래픽을 중심으로 NGN 품질측정 프레임워크를 제시한다. 테스트베드는 NGN 운용과정에서 QoS 측정 메트릭스, 측정구간과 측정계위, 측정도구, 측정장비, 측정방법 및 측정결과 분석에 대한 일련의 프로세스와 방법론을 모델화한다. 이 모델은 향후 NGN 품질보증 활동에 활용토록 한다. 통신서비스 품질은 스스로 보장되지 않으며 끊임없이 측정되고 관리될 때에 만 품질 목표수준 확보가 가능하다. NGN 네트워크기술 패러다임 중요성을 감한할 때 NGN 운용상의 품질관리에 대한 연구는 앞으로 활발하게 추진되어야 할 핵심 소재이다.

항공 산업의 DFSS 적용방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design for Six Sigma Methodology for Aircraft Industry)

  • Purpose: In this paper, a Design for Six Sigma(DFSS) methodology based on DMADV(Define-Measure-Analyze-Design-Verify) roadmap is presented. Methods: DFSS tools are given for each DMADV phase which is suitable for the aircraft development process. A cost reduction case study of a navigation simulation is demonstrated. Results: DFSS roadmap are presented with implementation tools for each phase. Conclusion: We propose a DFSS methodology which can benefit the design and development personnel to implement DFSS not only in aircraft industry but also in other order-based industries in general.
