In this paper, the effect of TiN-coating on product quality such as dimensional accuracy and surface roughness is experimentally investigated. A punch of SKD11 material in cold forging an automotive bearing shaft and its related process found in a cold forging company are selected as the test example. The effect of TiN-coating is revealed in a quantitative manner. It is to be noted that TiN-coating is effective in controlling the dimensional accuracy and surface roughness as well as in increasing tool lift.

Data mining is the method to find useful information for large amounts of data in database. It is used to find hidden knowledge by massive data, unexpectedly pattern, relation to new rule. The methods of data mining are association rules, decision tree, clustering, neural network and so on. Association rule mining searches for interesting relationships among items in a given large data set. Association rules are frequently used by retail stores to assist in marketing, advertising, floor placement, and inventory control. There are three primary quality measures for association rule, support and confidence and lift. We analyze Gyeongnam social indicator survey data using association rule technique for environmental information discovery. We can use to environmental preservation and environmental improvement by association rule outputs.

Association rule mining searches for interesting relationships among Items in a given database. Association rules are frequently used by retail stores to assist in marketing, advertising, floor placement, and inventory control. There are three primary quality measures for association rule support and confidence and lift. If there is many item in the association rule, much time is required. Xiong(2004) studies new method which is to compute the support of upper. They used support of upper to the $\theta$. But $\theta$ is subjective. In this paper, we present statistical objective criterion for efficiently identifying correlated pairs.

Boolean Analyzer is the method to produce the negative association rule using PIM. But, PIM is subjective. In this paper, we present statistical objective criterion in negative association rules using Boolean Analyzer.

Melt-textured YBCO in high quantity and good quality is prepared in a batch process. A mean trapped field >1. IT at 77K is achieved in batch processed material. Studying the microstructure is a necessary tool to understand the growth mechanisms and thus to opimise the material. From the growth induced structures in the material the anisotropy in growth speed is 1.37. From batch processed material function elements for different cryomagnetic applications are constructed. Motors with an output power > 200 kW at 77 K and bearings that can lift more than 200 kg were equipped with melt-textured YBCO.

Background and Objectives : Quality of life(QOL) is a construct representing physical, mental and social well-being. QOL has been used as a device for measuring the severity of health-related condition and treatment outcomes. As the social welfare system develops, the attention to QOL increases as well. The aims of this study was to examine whether the patients with voice disorder perceived significantly more the effects of voice disorder on QOL than nonpatient group did and if any, identify the sociodemographic risk factors influencing QOL of patients. Materials and Methods : This study asked 113 adults with voice disorders who were enrolled in Voice Clinic in the Department of Otolaryngology, Kangbuk Samsung Hospital between lune 1998 and January 1999 and 111 nonpatients to complete a questionnaire designed to elicit information about the effete of voice disorders on quality of lift. The questionnaire included items concerning sociodemographic areas, voice symptoms, job, effects of voice disorders on QOL domains(work, social, psychological, physical, and communication areas), potential risk factors to exposures, familial and medical history of voice disorders. Results : The sociodemographic characteristics of the patient group are as follows : (1) 75.2% of total patient group were female and the rest were male. (2) Age of total patient group ranged from 20 to 65 years. Hoarseness was the most commonly reported complaints, followed by complaints of high note difficulties during singing and voice fatigue. The patient group perceived effects of voice disorders on the areas of work, social, psychological, physical and communication more adversely than the comparison group did (p＜0.05). QOL impairments were evaluated as a function of age, gender, education, and income, controlling other independent effects. The results were that (1) age was significantly associated with work problems and (2) gender and income were significantly associated with psychological problems. Conclusions : The findings indicated that the patients with voice disorders would perceive markedly adverse effect on all QOL domains, that is, work, social, psychological, physical, communicational areas. Therefore, the results of study suggest that lurker investigations about the nature of voice disorders, the prevention, treatment, and coping strategies are needed in the future.

The tool overhang length affects tool deflection and chatter that should be reduced for machined surface quality, productivity and long tool lift. The shortest tool setting algorithm that uses a safe space is proposed and applied with simulation software in NC machining. The safe space in the coordinate fixed in the tool is computed by the virtual machining system that simulates NC machining by stock model, tool model and NC code. The optimal tool assembly that has largest diameter and shortest length is possible using the safe space. This algorithm has been applied over fifty companies for safe and rigid tool setting. The collision accident between holder and stock was reduced from 3 to 0 a year and the productivity was incensed about 15% by using faster feed rate acceptable for shorten tool length.

연구목적: 병원에 근무하는 직원의 삶의 질에 관하여 조사하여 향후, 정신과 환자와 보호자의 삶의 질을 평가하기 위한 기초자료로 활용하기 위함이다. 방 법: 안강중앙병원에 근무 중인 직원을 대상으로 하여 삶의 질에 관한 설문지를 이용하여 조사하였다. 결 과: 삶의 질은 통계적으로 유의하지 않으나 대체로 긍정적이었으며, 간접 접촉군이 더 긍정적이었다. 기혼집단이 더 긍정적이었다. 연령에서는 30대와 40대가 더 긍정적이었으며, 대체로 고학력군이 긍정적이었으나, 유능감 요인과 신체적 안녕 요인은 저학력군이 더 긍정적이었다. 결 론: 본 연구에서 실시된 장기 가족교육모형은 가족의 대처방식을 향상시키고 우울증상의 감소를 가져오며, 환자가 자각하는 가족의 정서적 지지의 향상 및 우울증상의 호전을 가져오고, 재입원율의 저하 및 사회재활의 향상을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

본 본문에서는 LPG 용기용 가스밸브의 O-링과 밸브패킹의 밀봉결함과 크랙에 관련된 실험적 연구를 수행하고자 한다. LP 가스의 누출을 방지하기 위해 사용하는 O-링은 LPG 밸브의 밀봉 안전성을 확보하는 핵심부품으로 대단히 중요하다. 밸브패킹은 LPG 연료의 공급과 충전을 하는데, 가스 공급구를 열고 닫는 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 이들 두개의 밀봉부품에 대한 성능은 밸브의 누설 안전성과 장수명에 밀접한 관련이 있다. 연구결과에 의하면, O-링의 대부분은 파티션 부근의 결합불량과 과도한 압축률로 인해 원주방향으로 크랙이 발생하는 것으로 분석되었다. 그 이외의 결함으로 거론된 경우는 LP가스의 과도한 가스압력으로 인한 압출현상의 발생은 압출크랙을 일으키는 원인으로 작용하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 가스밸브의 누설 안전성을 확보하고 수명을 연장하기 위해 O-링과 밸브패킹에 대한 엄격한 품질관리와 인증제도의 도입을 권장하고자 한다. 결국에는 LPG용기용 밸브의 품질과 안전성 확보를 위해 밀봉장치에 대한 품질안전 보증제도를 도입해야 밸브를 오랫동안 사용할 수 있을 것이다.
