Design for the Reflection Free Zone with the Adequate Initial Time Delay Gap at the Control Room (음향조정실에서 적절한 초기지연시간을 갖는 무반사지역의 설계연구)

  • The control room has been usually designed by the consideration of only one listening position for the sound engineer. By this study. many listening positions with the very similar acoustical condition were located in the specific region, so-called 'the reflection free zone', where the several engineer could evaluate the quality of sound at the same time. For constructing the reflection free zone, the control room has been designed by the concept of the $LEDE^{TM}$, and the initial time delay gap has been controled by the structure of control room and the properties of sound-absorbing materials. diffuser, Helmholtz resonator and image source of sound. The occurrence of any harmful phenomena like the standing wave, acoustic focusing. coloring. Hass effect and flutter echo, has greatly reduced in the reflection free zone.

  • This paper presents a real-time integrated traffic management (RITM) scheme that can effectively manage variable bit rate (VBR) and available bit rate (ABR) traffics having unpredictable characteristics in asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) networks. An unique feature of this scheme is that it has a special ATM cell control block which makes it possible to monitor bursty traffics in real-time so that the delay incurred to measure cell arrival rate is minimized. Additionally, the proposed scheme intends to dynamically reassign the leftover network resources to VBR/ABR connections without any deterioration in quality of service (QoS) of the existing connections. The RITM scheme has been verified to reliably monitor incoming traffics and to efficiently manage network resources by computer simulations. The capability of managing the incoming ATM traffics in real-time helps determine an optimal acceptable number of user connections for a given network condition. We can use this value as a threshold to protect the network from being congested and to find out a cost-effective buffer design method.

  • The Center Based Navigation System(CBNS) used real time road data searches an optimal path. The other hand, the Terminal Based Navigation System(TBNS) used embedded road data searches a path that has less qualitative than the CBNS. But the TBNS has been favored, because it has no additional fees. Generally, TBNS has not used real time road data but it is recently able to use it with technique such as TPEG. However, it causes to increase a cost of exploring by using real time road data for improvement qualify of a path, because of limited performance. We propose a path-finding algorithm using a Maximum peed Dynamic Heuristic to improve quality and reduce a cost of exploring. Proposed method is to use a maximum road speed of appropriate region as dynamic heuristic for path-finding.

  • Precise temperature monitoring is the major preconditioning to supervise quality losses within the transport chain for fresh products. ISO/IEC18000-6REV1 defines new protocols supporting BAP(Battery Assisted Passive) RFID tag which is completely compatible with EPCglobal Class1 Generation2 specification. In this paper, we designed a modem supporting BAP RFID tag with FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) and implemented sensor data processing function defined in ISO/IEC18000-6REV1. The transmit block of the modem supports pulse shaping filter and the output signal of the implemented RFID reader is satisfied with the spectrum mask defined in the standard. The receive block of the modem uses Gardner TED to synchronize timing of symbol. In this paper, we designed a modem supporting ISO/IEC18000-6REV1 standard and developed a RFID reader sndard. The developed RFID reader sndard can recognize sensor tag and passive tag in the wireless environment and supports real-time processing of the sensor data in the embedded linux platform.

  • In this paper, an adaptive multimedia synchronization scheme for VOD (Video On Demand) services in internet environments is proposed. This scheme considers the characteristics of MPEG (Moving Picture Expert Group) system stream. Consequently, the intra-synchronization is handled at the pack layer, and the inter-synchronization is handled at the packet layer. The proposed scheme can cope adaptively with variation of packet loss, jitter and client's playback capacity. If there are variations of the packet loss or client's playback capacity, the server will change the transmission rate by selective picture skip. The client can then adjust and control the playback time according to the variation of the network jitter. Our experimental results show that the proposed scheme can quickly adapt to the network condition, and can guarantee a better quality of service than the other existing schemes.

  • Recently, rolling stock technology has rapidly developed. Nevertheless, ride quality and vibration vibration on vehicle still need more study. EMU to be operated on SMRT Line 7(SR001) extension section is applied to oil-free reciprocating air compressor considering maintainability and convenience of inspection. But reciprocating air compressor compresses the air by back-and-forth motion of piston, and spreads the vibration to surrounding structures by its force of inertia. Optimum design of mounting bracket is able to reduce the vibration. As a result, we analyzed the frequency spectrum on vibration upon value by measuring vibration during operation of air compressor. On this study, we comprehend the vibration transmission process of reciprocating air compressor and consider the measure for reducing vibration by minimizing propagation of vibration.

  • In tactical environment, tactical wireless networks are generally comprised of Tactical MANETs(T-MANETs) or Tactical WMNs(T-WMNs). The most important services in tactical network are voice and low rate data such as command control and situation awareness. These data should be forwarded via multi-hop in tactical wireless networks. Urgent and mission-critical data should be protected in this environment, so QoS(Quality of Service) must be guaranteed for specific type of traffic for satisfying the requirement of a user. In IEEE 802.11s, TDMA-based MAC protocol, MCCA(MCF Controlled Channel Access), has a function of resource reservation. But 802.11s protocol can not guarantee the end-to-end QoS, because it only supports reservation with neighbors. In this paper, we propose the routing protocol, R-HWMP(Reservation-based HWMP) which has the resource reservation to support the end-to-end QoS. The proposed protocol can reserve the channel slots and find optimal path in T-WMNs. We analyzed the performance of the proposed protocol and showed that end-to-end QoS is guaranteed using NS-2 simulation.

New Wilkinson Power Divider Using Lumped Elements (집중소자를 이용한 새로운 윌킨슨 전력 분배기)

  • In this paper, we propose a new lumped Wilkinson power divider which is designed to have lower quality-factors in the impedance transformation. Therefore, it can provide wider bandwidth than the conventional one. Moreover, the proposed power divider consists of fewer number of elements so that the circuit size can be further reduced. Simulation results show that the proposed lumped power divider allows a 50% wider bandwidth in the return loss and isolation performance. The conventional and new Wilkinson power was designed and fabricated based on the derived equations at 2.0 GHz. In the measurement, the proposed divider achieved a good performance with an input return loss ($S_{11}$) of -23.0 dB, an isolation ($S_{23}$) of -29.0 dB and an insertion loss ($S_{21}$) of -3.12 dB at the design frequency with wider bandwidth than the conventional one.

  • VE is used as a powerful tool to add value to facilities by improving functionality and reducing costs. By identifying the client's requirements in the VE process and reflecting them in the quality model, the developed alternatives meet the client's requirements. However, there is no process to verify how the developed alternatives reflect the needs of the client through functional analysis, idea generation and evaluation. The purpose of this study was to develop, verify, and prove the effectiveness of a methodology for evaluating client satisfaction with alternatives developed during the VE Job Plan. The KANO model, which can identify the satisfaction and dissatisfaction of requirements in product planning, was set as a methodology for alternative verification procedures of VE, and was improved and applied to the purpose of this study. As a result, the alternative evaluation method developed in this study was found to be useful. It is expected that the KANO model will be used to evaluate the satisfaction of VE alternatives in the VE Job Plan analysis.

  • The elevator system combines various convergence technologies with the development of ICT technology. Emergency call devices which are safety related devices is applied as an obligation of the elevator and those scope also varies. In this paper, we propose an integrated model that overcomes the limitations of existing voice emergency call devices and efficiently manages and manages video call based service structures in VoIP based on wired and wireless environments. This method effectively manages and operates various lift data and video records in the elevator between the manager, the server and the user. And also It is possible to secure the quality of video call in VoIP and cloud service environment and increase the reliability of safety management and enhance various service environment by creating an integrated structure utilizing various data and additional services in the elevator.
