This study investigated the relationship between the organizational culture, organizational support, organizational health, personal health, and quality of work life of dental hygienists and analyzed the factors affecting the quality of work life in order to identify ways to improve their quality of work life. A total of 320 dental hygienists completed a self-administered survey; after excluding data from 21 respondents, 299 responses were included in the analysis. Frequency analyses, t-tests, one-way analysis of variation (ANOVA), and correlation analyses were conducted. A path analysis was also conducted to confirm the causal relationships. The findings are as follows. First, there was a significant difference in several general characteristics of the organizational culture including years in the current job and the number of dental hygienists; organizational support including age and the number of dental hygienists; organizational health including years in the current job and annual salary; and personal health including annual salary. Second, the quality of work life showed a positive correlation with organizational culture, organizational support, personal health, and organizational health in that order. Third, the results of path analysis revealed that organizational culture had a positive effect on organizational support; organizational support and personal health on organizational health; organizational support on personal health; and organizational support and organizational health on quality of work life. In addition, organizational support and organizational health had a direct effect on the quality of work life, while organizational culture, organizational support, and personal health had an indirect effect. These results indicated existence of a relationship among organizational culture, organizational support, organizational health, personal health, and quality of work life. It is necessary to identify ways to improve the quality of work life of dental hygienists.
Quality is distinguished from the other important management indicators, cost and profitability, by the features of its far longer history and of common concern to both manufacturer and customer. We may say from this that quality has a far more human aspect than either cost or profitability. We stress the importance of establishing “quality culture.” But we do not commonly use the terms of “cost culture” or “productivity culture.”In addition, we know from our experiences that improving quality by creative methods can lead to lower cost and higher productivity, although the converse is not necessarily true. In the Maslow's hierarchy of human needs, it is known that the character of human needs changes from extrinsic and material ones at lower levels to intrinsic and mental or spiritual ones at higher levels. We know from our experience that employee satisfaction is closely linked with quality, which is of more human nature and can further be deployed into the detailed elements of quality. The leaders and managers should positively display leadership and respond to the efforts of the subordinates. Without these managerial leadership and efforts, it is almost impossible to provide essential and true customer satisfaction. They are the indispensable elements for business excellence.
Purpose: This study aimed to confirm the mediating effect of work-life balance organizational culture in the relationship between work-life balance and quality of nursing service for clinical nurses. Methods: Participants included 224 nurses from four hospitals located in D city. Data was collected from 3 to 21 August 2020 using a self-report questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient were used for analysis. The mediating effect was assessed by Baron and Kenny's three-step hierarchical regression analysis and bootstrapping methods. Results: There were significant relationships between work-life balance and work-life balance organizational culture (r=.45, p<.001), work-life balance and quality of nursing service (r=.18, p=.005), and work-life balance organizational culture and quality of nursing service (r=.34, p<.001). Also, work-life balance organizational culture (β=.32, p<.001) showed a total mediating effect on the relationship between work-life balance and quality of nursing service. Conclusion: The development and provision of programs that can improve the work-life balance and establish an organizational culture that supports it will help improve the quality of nursing services.
This paper reviewed the relationship between organizational culture and service quality, and the moderating effect of tenure in service business. Based on the responses from 586 employees, the results of multiple regression analysis showed that rational culture and affiliation culture have positive relationships with all service quality factors. The results of moderating analysis showed that rational culture has more positive relationships with tangibleness, reliability, responsiveness, and empathy in which tenure is longer. Also progressive culture has more positive relationship with empathy in which tenure is longer.
To improve quality of an product We have adopted new approaches such as SPC(Statistical Process Control), CIM(compure Integreated Munufactture), QDF(Quality Development Function), etc. In spite of using these approaches, an organization should fail to achive its true goal if that organization didn't developed its cooperative quality culture which is the total of collective and shared learning of quality-related values as the organization have developed its capacity to survive in its external environment and to manage its own internal affairs. In this paper, I analyzed the current quality culture of Korea Telecom and tried to suggest how Korea Telecom develop its service quality based on the quality culture.
Purpose - Environmental issues, climatic changes, and greenhouse gases are problems to be solved at a global level. With an increased emphasis on the environmental and social responsibility of the management of companies, the manner in which companies approach quality-oriented culture and their individual sustainability management are being discussed as truly important issues to help them secure their competitiveness and growth strategies. This study proposes strategic directions to help manufacturers not only in expanding their competitive quality-oriented company culture but also in strengthening their sustainability management abilities. This study conducts a literature review and empirical research to examine how significantly the variables of a quality-oriented company culture, customer-centered management, and process-centered and supply chain management-centered cooperation affect sustainability management performance in relation to economic profitability, environmental integrity, and social responsibility. Research design, data, and methodology - To verify research models and hypotheses, the study examined 170 companies using a questionnaire survey conducted over six weeks, and involved the performance of data analysis on 146 samples. Questionnaire responses were calibrated based on a Likert scale. The study used the Smart PLS 2.0 program designed for PLS (partial least squares), an analysis instrument of SEM (structural equation modeling). The study then verified empirical research hypotheses working on reliability analysis, validity analysis, factorial analysis, and path analysis. Results - Among the nine hypotheses, four are accepted and the rest are rejected. A quality-oriented company culture focusing on customer-centered management significantly influenced the maintainability management performance of environmental integrity and social responsibility, while economic profitability was dismissed. A process-focused quality-oriented company culture was significantly concerned with economic profitability but not with environmental integrity or social responsibility. A supply-chain cooperative company culture had a significant effect on economic profitability but not on environmental integrity or social responsibility. Conclusion - This study proposes strategic directions to help manufacturers expand their competitive quality-oriented company culture as well as strengthen abilities with sustainability management. It conducts a literature review and empirical research to examine how significantly the variables of quality-oriented company culture, customer-centered management, and process-centered and supply chain management-centered cooperation affect sustainability management performance in relation to economic profitability, environmental integrity, and social responsibility. There are two main conclusions. First, companies should consider the need for social responsibility management and environmental transparent management-focused maintainability management as avenues to create new markets and business, thereby helping the companies secure a reputation for having a customer and process-centered quality-oriented company culture by creating shared values between supply chains and enabling win-win situations through cooperation. Second, we are marching towards a creative win-win era from a society of conflicts and ruptures. Companies should understand that social responsibility management and supply chain management (SCM)-focused cooperation are the foundations of sustainable development, as they try to improve their culture while pursuing both win-win relationships with interested parties and equity in various conflictive relations.
Both the total quality management (TQM) and learning organization (LO) appear to be promising approaches for organizational transformation towards a more effective, efficient, and responsive organization in the past. The evolutionary development and theory supports for these two fields are distinct but they appear to have more in common than they have in distinctiveness. However, there is little synergy developed between these two fields both in academic research and industrial applications. It is possibly due to the fact that both the academia and industry are taking a limiting polarized view of TQM and LO and hence not getting the benefits of linking the two. This paper tries to establish a link between the organizational learning capability and the quality culture for TQM implementation based on a case study on the largest vocational education institution, the Vocational Training Council, of Hong Kong. The study reveals that there is a strong positive correlation between organizational learning capability and quality culture. The exploratory explanations for the links between the organizational learning capability constructs and the quality culture constructs are also discussed in this paper. The findings of the study support other literatures that TQM should be embedded in LO and serves as an enabler for organizational learning (OL) in transforming and creating organizations which continuously expand their abilities to change and shape their future.
Purpose: Targeting the members of manufacturing and Service industry Quality Control team this study is going is to carry out research about whether the outcome of OCB(Organizational Citizenship Behaviors) and organization can be brought about by organizational culture that is suitable for them. this study tries to identify the direct・indirect causal relationship between these variables and OCB by selecting organizational culture as a leading variable and job satisfaction as a parameter. Methods: SPSS 22.0 was used for data analysis and AMOS 18.0 statistical program for structural equation model analysis. For the descriptive statistics this study verified reliability analysis, feasibility analysis, structural equation model analysis, research hypothesis, and mediating effects. Results: As a result of path analysis estimating the regression coefficients for the linear structure analysis of the correlations between variables for the hypothesis verification, the rational culture among the organizational culture types of the manufacturing Quality Control team showed a positive (+) effect on the job satisfaction, and hierarchical culture has negative(-) effect on job satisfaction. Conclusion: This study suggested that the composition and friendly behavior of desirable organizational culture has a very close relationship in connection between job satisfaction and OCB by examining the causal relationship between OCB for improvement activities for organizational culture by establishing the organizational culture and job satisfaction of the manufacturing Quality Control team.
This study examined how Chinese tourists' beauty tour preferences and attitudes toward Korean culture impacted their purchasing behaviors, repurchasing intentions, and the likelihood that they would recommend the products and services they received. Between the 10th and 21st of June, 2016, a total of 277 questionnaires were distributed in Seoul, Busan and Daegu using SPSS 21.0. On the surveys, beauty tour preferences were divided into the following categories: human service, high quality service, convenience accessibility & cost, and facility & atmosphere. The study found that high quality service and convenience & accessibility significantly affected respondents' purchasing intentions, with high quality service showing the higher standardized beta value. Friendliness to Korean culture also had a significant impact on beauty tour purchasing intentions. Preference for human service, high quality service, and facility & atmosphere significantly affected the purchasing intentions and the likelihood o f respondent recommendations, with higher standardized beta values shown (from high est to lowest) in the preference for facility & atmosphere, and preference for human service and high quality service respectively. Concerning perceptions of beauty products, preference for quality had a significant impact on the repurchasing intentions and intentions of respondents to make recommendations, as did the respondents', friendliness toward Korean culture. This study suggests that, to be most effective, beauty tours should emphasize human service and facility & atmosphere, as well as high quality service. In addition, preference for beauty services or products, and friendliness to Korean culture must be considered.

Purpose: For the last few decades, TQM has become a hot topic in the inner-disciplinary field in the production management line. Still, unfortunately, the study of TQM and Quality Output management is partially only attached to the tangible side in the production management line. Whereas theoretically, the implications of TQM require incremental improvement in all management lines (e.g., HRM, Marketing, Operations, and Distribution Management). Therefore, starting from the main problem, this study aims to analyze the effect of total quality management, Organizational Culture, Perceived Distribution of Quality Awareness, and quality output through a more in-depth analysis. Research design, data and methodology: We conducted a survey of 170 respondents from managers, staff, and employees from 48 companies in Indonesia. We used a quantitative approach with the SEM method to answer this study's problem formulation and hypotheses. Results: The results of our research stated that based on the demonstration of statistical test results, all hypotheses were positive and significant, both direct and indirect relationship demonstrations. Conclusions: Universally, the findings in this study illustrate that the supporting factor for creating value-added in TQM and Quality output lies in the optimal and positive organizational culture and Perceived Distribution Quality Awareness factors in the organization.
