Hot water extraction concentrate was prepared from Alliun hookeri root (AHR) to evaluate its applicability to yogurt. The highest antioxidant activity of hot water concentrates was obtained under extraction conditions of 4 hr at $95^{\circ}C$. Antioxidant activities measured by DPPH radical assay, ABTS radical cation assay, reducing power, and cheating activity were highly correlated with total phenolic (89.51 mg/g) and total flavonoid (52.71 mg/g) contents, with R values of 0.94 and 0.96, respectively. Yogurt was fermented with a commercial lactic acid bacteria mixed strain (Yo-mix$^{TM}$ 305) for 10 hr at $42^{\circ}C$ after addition of 0~10% (w/w) hot water concentrates from AHR to yogurt base. As fermentation proceeded, pH and $^{\circ}Brix$ of yogurt decreased from 6.57~6.60 to 4.34~4.51 and from 8.10~8.90% to 4.60~5.25%, respectively, whereas titrate acidity, viscosity, and viable cell numbers increased from 0.22~0.23% to 1.01~1.10%, from $0mPa{\cdot}s$ to $202.55{\sim}290.50mPa{\cdot}s$, and from 6.40~6.80 log CFU/mL to 8.60~9.20 log CFU/mL, respectively. There was no significant difference in any sensory attribute between the control and 2.5% addition group, suggesting that 2.5% hot water concentrate from AHR could be used to manufacture yogurt.
The objective of this study is to develop an analytic framework to code systematically the gamer's behaviour in MMO(Massively Multi-player Online) gameplay experience, to explore their gameplay as a problem solving procedure empirically. Previous studies about model human processor, content based protocol, and procedure based protocol are reviewed in order to build the outline of the analytic framework related to MMO gameplay. The specific gameplay actions and contents were derived by using concurrent protocol analysis method through the empirical experiment executed in MMORPG gameplay. Consequently, gameplay are divided into six actions : kinematics, perception, function, representation, simulation, and rule (heuristics, following, and transcedence). The analytic framework suitable for MMO gameplay was built. As a result of this study, we found three rule spaces in the problem solving domain of gameplay that are an heuristics, a following of the rule, and a transcendence of the rule. 'Heuristics' denotes the rule action that discovers the rule of game through trial-and-error. 'Following' indicates the rule action that follows the rule of game embedded in game by game designers. 'Transcendence' presents the rule action that transcends that. The new discovered rule spaces where 'Following' and 'Transcendence' actions occur and the gameplay pattern in them is provided with the key basis to determine the level design elements of MMO game, such as terrain feature, monster attribute, item, and skill et cetera. Therefore, this study is concludes with key implications to support game design to improve the quality of MMO game product.
TYME is an interactive typography program based on the ephemeral nature of time. It is a text based poetic tool, built with Processing. This project is presented as a performance that utilizes a computer with a display screen, a projector, and speakers. As the user types, white characters appear, flow on the score on the screen and trigger jazz sounds, then characters disappear into black space in several seconds on the screen like smoke. Typography from this invented instrument is evocative and wistful, and allows the user to associate with ephemeral time. While typing the characters as though playing an instrument at intervals of time, the user can freeze the motion and print out or save otherwise fleeting moment with a button. I intend to contain both characteristics: the amorphous shape of smoke and the elusive attribute of smoke for the expression of intangible and ephemeral time. Every alphabetic shape is derived from the video dips that I shot of smoke. The resulting alphabetic images are then programmed using the Processing scripting language and which can then be typed on the screen with a keyboard. TYME could be a model as a project that reflects the unfixed quality of digital typography, and as a design approach for interactive expressive typography by scripting code. This project also represents the characteristics of typographic play, which can be realized in an computational environment like this model.
It is well known that increased incidences of lung, skin, and bladder cancers are associated with occupational exposure to PAHs. Animal studies show that certain PAHs also can affect the hematopoietic and immune systems and can produce reproductive, neurologic, and developmental effects. As a consequence, several studies have been attempted to investigate the fate of PAHs in atmospheric environment during the past decades. However, there is still a lack of information in regard to the atmospheric concentration of PAHs during the "Bon Fire Night". In this study, twenty-three polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and twenty-eight aliphatics were identified and quantified in the $PM_{10}$ and vapour range in Birmingham ($27^{th}$ November 2001-$19^{th}$ January 2004). The measured concentrations of total particulate and vapour (P+V) PAHs were consistently higher at the BROS in both winter and summer. Arithmetic mean total (P+V) PAH concentrations were $51.04{\pm}47.62$ ng $m^{-3}$ and $22.30{\pm}19.18$ ng $m^{-3}$ at the Bristol Road Observatory Site (BROS) and Elms Road Observatory Site (EROS) respectively. In addition arithmetic mean total (P+V) B[a]P concentrations at the BROS were $0.47{\pm}0.39$ ng $m^{-3}$ which exceeded the EPAQS air quality standard of 0.25 ng $m^{-3}$. On the other hand, the arithmetic mean total (P+V) aliphatics were $81.80{\pm}69.58$ ng $m^{-3}$ and $48.00{\pm}35.38$ ng $m^{-3}$ at the BROS and EROS in that order. The lowest average of CPI and $C_{max}$ measured at the BROS supports the idea of traffic emissions being a principle source of SVOCs in an urban atmosphere. The annual trend of PAHs was investigated by using an independent t-test and oneway independent ANOVA analysis. Generally, there is no evidence of a significant decline of heavier MW PAHs from the two data sets, with only Ac, Fl, Ph, An, 2-MePh, 1+9-MePh, Fluo and B[b+j+k]F showing a statistically significant decline (p<0.05). A further attempt for statistical analysis had been conducted by dividing the data set into three groups (i.e. 2000, 2001-2002 and 2003-2004). For lighter MW compounds a significant level of decline was observed by using one-way independent ANOVA analysis. Since the annual mean of $O_3$ measured in Birmingham City Centre from 2001 to 2004 increased significantly (p<0.05), it may be possible to attribute the annul reduction of more volatile PAHs to the enhanced level of annual average $O_3$. By contrast, the heavier MW PAHs measured at the BROS did not show any significant annual reduction, implying the difficulties of 5- and 6-ring PAHs to be subject to photochemical decomposition. The deviation of SVOCs profile measured at the EROS was visually confirmed during the "Bonfire Night" festival closest to the $6^{th}$ November 2003. In this study, the atmospheric PAH concentrations were generally elevated on this day with concentrations of Fl, Ac, B[a]A, B[b+j+k]F, Ind and B[g,h,i]P being particularly high.
Purpose Since human brains catch images faster than texts or numbers, infographics has been widely used in business in the form of "information dashboard" to enhance the efficiency of decision-making. Groupware, however, has neglected the adoption and use of infographics, in particular, in the idea generation process. Given that an overall performance of groupware-based idea generation is no better than that of the (paper-and-pencil-based) Nominal Group Technique, Jung et al. (2010) adopted the notion of infographics in the form of performance feedback to solve the productivity paradox. With the consistent results, which demonstrate beneficial effects of infographics on performance enhancement, an interesting observation that groups with the bar chart treatment performed better than groups with the dot chart treatment was made. The main purpose of this study was to find if there were a performance consistency between the outcomes from the previous study and the outcomes from the current study. Design/methodology/approach In experiment 1, we employed the same system used in the previous study (i.e., Jung et al., 2010). As individuals' contributions accumulated, the mechanism visually displayed individuals' performances two-dimensionally in the form of a bar chart or a dot chart. Then, we compared the performance outcomes from this study to the outcomes from previous study (i.e., Jung et al., 2010). In experiment 2, we modified the performance graph to test the effect of "playfulness" on performance by converting dots to car images. Then, we compared the performance outcome from experiment 2 to the outcomes from experiment 1. Findings Just like our interesting (and unexpected) finding in Jung et al.'s study (2010), the outcome confirmed a consistent superior performance of a bar chart. This implies that a bar chart is a better choice when stimulating performance with a visual aid in the context of groupware-based idea generation. Although a bar chart was criticized in a way that errors of length-area judgments are 40 ~ 250% greater than those of positional judgments along a common scale, such illusion turned out to be facilitating upward performance comparison better. Regarding Experiment 2, the outcome showed that the revised-dot graph is as good as the bar graph in terms of quantity and quality score of ideas. We attribute the performance enhancement of the resized-dot to the interaction between the motivational characteristic and the situational characteristic of playfulness because individuals in the revised-dot graph treatment performed better than individuals in the dot graph treatment. Given the order of performance (Bar >= Revised Dot > Dot) that the revised-dot treatment performed the same as (or lower than) the bar treatment, an additional research is warranted to reach to a consistent outcome.
This study is to minimize the patient dose and maintain the image quality according to change of source to image receptor distance and applying additional filter. In this study, we used the DR system, the tissue-equivalent abdomen phantom and the aluminium filter. The exposure conditions were set to 80 kVp using AEC mode. The collimation size was $16{\times}16inch$. The exposure dose were measured 10 times when the SID was changed with 100, 110, 120 and 130 cm, respectively. The pirana 657 for dosimeter was located on center of radiation irradiation. The acquired images were analyzed by using the image J. In the results, the tube current was increased with increasing the SID but ESD was decreased with increasing the SID. The decrease of ESD attribute to use of filter that remove the photon of lower energy. In the histogram results using image J, there were differences between the ESD and the exposure conditions according to change of SID. However, there were not differences in histogram. Therefore, the exposure dose could reduced when set the longer SID. For pediatric exam, the exposure dose could reduced when used the aluminium filter.
This study was performed to investigate the browning intensity and electron donating ability of browning material in perilla oils from seeds roasted at 150~21$0^{\circ}C$ for 10~30 min. It was also investigated the oxidative stability of the blended perilla oil on the basis of sensory property and oxidative stability. The browning intensity in perilla oil increased with the roasting temperature and time increased. The browning intensity of perilla oil from seed roasted at 21$0^{\circ}C$ for 30 min indicated 13 times higher than that of perilla oil from seed at 15$0^{\circ}C$ for 10 min. Electron donating ability on DPPH of browning materials presented in perilla oils increased with the roasting temperature and time increased. The electron donating ability of browning materials in perilla oil from seed reasted at 21$0^{\circ}C$ for 30 min indicated 3 times higher than those of perilla oil from seed at 15$0^{\circ}C$ for 10 min. In conclusion, for the improvement of oxidative stability of perilla oil, perilla seed should be roasted at 21$0^{\circ}C$ for 30 min. These results suggest that browning materials formed between sugars and amino acids attribute to improve quality of oil such as sensory properties and oxidative stabilities. For the improvement of sensory property and oxidative stability of oil, perilla oil from seed roasted at 19$0^{\circ}C$ for 20 min was blended with the oil from seed roasted at 21$0^{\circ}C$ for 30 min as ratio of 85 : 15.
Financial technology (FinTech) is an emerging financial service sector include innovations in financial literacy and investment, retail banking, education, and crypto-currencies like bitcoin. One of the crucial branch of financial technology-third-party payment (TPP) is undergoing rapid growth, with online/mobile systems replacing offline financial systems. System quality and user attitudes are key perceptions driving third-party payment usage, the importance of these perceptions, however, may be different with countries as users' thinking varies from country to country. Thus, the purpose of this study is to elaborate how factors differ from China to Korea by drawing on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2). Additionally, this study also aims to propose a multi-attribute evaluation of the third-party online payment system based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP), fuzzy sets and technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS), to examine the relative importance of the perceptions influencing new technology adoption intention. The results showed that the price value has the most significant influence on Chinese perceptions, while the perceived credibility has the most significant effect on Korean perceptions. Sub-criteria also performs different results to Chinese and Korean third-party online payment system.

The purposes of this exploratory study were to a) verify the first image remember percentage about foodservice and the desire to eat, b) identify detail attributes on the 'food taste' and 'menu variety', the most important problem of the foodservice, c) decide the ranking for improvement of the identified detail attributes, and d) applicate from customer feedback to foodservice operation in the B&I(business & industry) foodservice. For the more reliable result, customer opinion was collected by qualitative research methodology, such as open-ended questionnaire and in-depth interview. The result was followed as : the firstly, the operation circumstance was total 6,700 meal number a day through in-depth interview and 3 types of meal was served. The secondly, the average usage a week was the 7.4 times(B foodservice(B1F)) and the 1.8 times(A foodservice(3F)), respectively. Using reasons of foodservice were 'broad extent', 'menu type', 'shifting convenience' and etc on B foodservice(B1F) and 'menu type', 'clean space' and etc on A foodservice(3F), but the disadvantages of both foodservice were 'complication on peak time', 'the decline of food taste', and 'the absence of menu variety'. 'The decline of food taste' and 'the absence of menu variety' were pointed out the problem asked immediate improvement. The thirdly, it was examined that the first remember about foodservice were 'menu type' and 'foodservice environment' on A foodservice(3F) and 'foodservice environment(atmosphere)' on B foodservice(B1F). The last result, the detail attributes about food taste were ranked respectively 'a salt taste', 'balance of 5 taste at a meal', 'taste of food characteristic' and the unsatisfaction attributes about menu variety were ranked respectively 'serving frequently a same menu', 'the absence of various taste', 'using frequently a same cooking preparation'.

This study analyzed the physicochemical characteristics and sensory properties of makgeolli. Fifteen samples of 4 award winning makgeolli and 11 samples of non-award winning makgeolli in a Korea liquors contest were examined. Physicochemical analysis revealed a significant differences in the alcohol content, reducing sugar concentration, color difference, and volatile compounds between the award winning and non-award winning makgeolli (p<0.05). The award winning makgeolli was related to the high contents of alcohol and reducing sugar, bright color, and low contents of ethyl myristate. A total of 24 terms (appearance 2, odor 10, flavor and taste 8, and texture 4) were expressed in terms of makgeolli. Regarding the sensory property, the sweet, raspberry, pear, and yogurt smell were positively related to the award winning makgeolli. In addition, nuruk, savory smell, and savory flavor were positively related to the non-award winning makgeolli. A study of association between the volatile compounds and odor attribute revealed ethyl lactate to have a positive correlation with the raspberry smell (r=0.840) and pear smell (r=0.723) in the award winning makgeolli (p<0.01). The characteristics of makgeolli preferred by consumers are strongly related to the sweet taste and smell, bright color, and fruit flavor.
