사용자 위주 IPTV 서비스 품질 측정 소프트웨어 개발 (A Software for Subscriber-Oriented IPTV Service Quality Measurement)

  • 최근 네트워크의 광대역화에 따른 대표적인 새로운 서비스로 IPTV 서비스를 들 수 있다. 서비스 품질을 보장하지 못하는 인터넷을 통한 IPTV 서비스가 성공적으로 정착하여 활성화되기 위해서는 철저한 서비스 품질 관리가 필수적이다. 특히 향후에는 서비스 이용자 스스로 서비스 품질을 직접 측정할 수 있도록 하는 것이 바람직함에도 불구하고 아직까지 이를 위한 적절한 방안이 없는 상태이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 서비스 이용자 측에 있는 셋톱박스에 설치하여 실시간으로 IPTV 서비스의 품질을 측정하기 위한 소프트웨어를 소개한다. 개발된 소프트웨어의 성능을 검증하기 위하여 기존의 대표적인 두 개의 상용 계측기와 측정 결과를 비교 분석하였고 그 결과 개발된 소프트웨어를 통한 측정 결과가 상당히 정확하고 신뢰할만하다는 것을 확인할 수 있다.

A Study on the Difference Method of Magnetic Resonance Signal Measurement when Using Multi-channel Coil and Parallel Imaging

  • SNR (signal to ratio) is a criterion for providing objective information for evaluating the performance of a magnetic resonance imaging device, and is an important measurement standard for evaluating the quality of MR (Magnetic Resonance) image. The purpose of our study is to evaluate the correct SNR measurement for multi-channel coil and parallel imaging. As a result of research, we found that both T1 and T2 weighted images show the narrowest confidence interval of the method recommended by NEMA (The National Electrical manufacturers Association) 1 having a single measurement method, whereas the ACR (American College of Radiology) measurement method using a multi-channel coil and a parallel imaging technique shows the widest confidence interval. There is a significance in that we quantitatively verified the inaccurate problems of a signal to noise ratio using a ACR measurement method when using a multi-channel coil and a parallel imaging technique of which method does not satisfy the preconditions that researchers could overlook.

Developing an Alias Management Method based on Word Similarity Measurement for POI Application

  • As the need for the integration of administrative datasets and address information increases, there is also growing interest in POI (Point of Interest) data as a source of location information across applications and platforms. The purpose of this study is to develop an alias database management method for efficient POI searching, based on POI data representing position. First, we determine the attributes of POI alias data as it is used variously by individual users. When classifying aliases of POIs, we excluded POIs in which the typo and names are all in English alphabet. The attributes of POI aliases are classified into four categories, and each category is reclassified into three classes according to the strength of the attributes. We then define the quality of POI aliases classified in this study through experiments. Based on the four attributes of POI defined in this study, we developed a method of managing one POI alias through and integrated method composed of word embedding and a similarity measurement. Experimental results of the proposed POI alias management method show that it is possible to utilize the algorithm developed in this study if there are small numbers of aliases in each POI with appropriate POI attributes defined in this study.

WiBro 환경에서의 u-Healthcare 서비스를 위한 무선데이터 품질 측정 방안 연구 (A Study on Wireless Data Quality Measurement Method for u-Healthcare Service in WiBro Environment)

  • 유 무선 통신망의 발전과 스마트폰 등 무선 단말을 이용한 모바일오피스 등 무선서비스 이용이 날로 증가하고, 이를 이용한 u-Healthcare 서비스가 각광 받고 있는데, 기존의 품질 측정 기준은 단순히 속도나 에러율 등만을 고려하였기 때문에 u-Healthcare의 안정성을 보장하기 위해서는 서비스별 품질관리가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 u-Healthcare 무선서비스 사용자의 품질 보장 및 사용자 요구를 만족시키기 위한 방안으로 무선 환경을 고려한 무선서비스별 품질 측정 기준을 제시하였다. 관련 연구를 통해 3GPP, WiMAX 포럼, GSMA 등 국제 표준화 기관에서 제시한 주요성능 지표와 사업자 사례를 통해 최종 사용자 관점에서의 WiBro 환경에서 u-Healthcare를 제공하기 위한 서비스별 품질기준 체계를 확립하고 각 서비스별로 품질지표 수립의 타당성을 제시하였다.

국외 문헌고찰을 기초로 정신건강의 측면에서 본 한국주거의 질 측정요소에 관한 연구 (Measuring Inventory of Korean Housing Quality Related to Mental Health through Foreign Literature Reviews)

  • This study is to organize the frame of measuring inventory for housing quality related to mental health in foreign literature reviews. In the first step, many housing quality contents or items are extracted from empirical studies, including housing environment quality and mental health. In the next step, extracted contents and items are classified by space scope (house and neighborhood unit) and WHO housing properties (safety & security, health & sanitation, efficiency/convenience, comfort/amenity). Almost all housing properties follow the WHO standard, but some properties, sustainability and economic characteristics, do not follow the standard. These reflect on current Korean housing environment. They are energy saving and environment friendly effort, property value and economic burden, identity expression, and school district. So they need to be added to the Korean housing quality measurement related to mental health.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate how to use the Quality of Life(QoL) of obesity and to study the report cases which measure QoL on obesity. Method: This study investigate the definition of Health-related Quality of Life(HRQoL), the measurement of Health-related Quality of Life, and the papers of Health-related Quality of Life on obesity through the books and medicine journals of HRQoL and obesity. Conclusions: 1. The QoL includes role functional ability, the degree and quality of social and community interaction, psychological state, somatic feeling, and life satisfaction than personal health and social well-being. 2. The investigator needs to evaluate the reliability, validity and sensitivity of the scale, and the appropriateness of the instrument for the target population When he decides measurement. 3. The investigator have the well-drilled supporter or himself managed the data and study population to prevent missing data. 4. The investigator should decide which is needed on obesity a obesity-specific or broad-ranging instrument, or both.

  • In this study, a vision system with image processing method have been introduced to find the edge radius of curvature. It was applied to inspect the edge quality of the deburring process product with brush grinding. Size of data was found to be critical in calculating the radius of curvature. Results using laser measurement system were compared.

  • Recently, smartphones have been widely used in wireless communications which caused severe data overload in cellular networks. Cellular companies consider increasing wireless data capacity in overloaded areas. Determining overloaded areas is mainly made from user reports which are currently collected by calling or simple apps by some active users experiencing overloads. Since the current reporting method is inconvenient and does not contain detail information about the overload conditions, and therefore is used by only some active users, the overloaded areas determined from the reports are not likely to be accurate. Therefore, we need a new reporting method which is convenient enough for even inactive users to willingly report the overload condition and which delivers detail information about the overloads. In this paper, we design and implement a measurement function of smartphone's WCDMA communication quality including overload condition and management system of mobile wireless communication networks about smartphones' communication quality.

Research of fast point cloud registration method in construction error analysis of hull blocks

  • The construction quality control of hull blocks is of great significance for shipbuilding. The total station device is predominantly employed in traditional applications, but suffers from long measurement time, high labor intensity and scarcity of data points. In this paper, the Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) device is utilized to obtain an efficient and accurate comprehensive construction information of hull blocks. To address the registration problem which is the most important issue in comparing the measurement point cloud and the design model, an automatic registration approach is presented. Furthermore, to compare the data acquired by TLS device and sparse point sets obtained by total station device, a method for key point extraction is introduced. Experimental results indicate that the proposed approach is fast and accurate, and that applying TLS to control the construction quality of hull blocks is reliable and feasible.

  • The quality control of compaction fills has been commonly performed via the field density measurement and plate load tests. However, the engineer frequently encounters difficulties in actually controling the quality due to the uncertainty in the field density measurement as well as the plate load tests. To overcome these difficulties, Park et al. (2009) proposed an alternative quality control method based on the measurement of the compressive wave velocities. In this study, the compressive wave velocities measured in the full-scale model test site were analyzed. Direct arrive seismic tests were performed after the completion of each trackbed layer. To identify a relationship between elastic wave velocities and degree of compaction, laboratory compaction tests were conducted.
