웹 탐색과정에서 이용자들의 정보의 판단과 선택 -정보의 질 및 권위를 중심으로 - (Judgment Decision, and Choice in Web Searching Behavior - Information Quality and Cognitive Authority -)

  • 본 연구는 웹 환경에서 이용자들의 정보의 질과 권위에 대한 판단이 웹 탐색과정에서 정보의 선택과 이용에 어떻게 영향을 미치는가를 다루고 있다. 실험실환경에서 교수와 박사과정학생 총 16명을 대상으로 탐색실험을 실시하여, 로그 데이터, 생각 소리내어 말하기 (think-aloud), 인터뷰를 통하여 데이터를 수집하였다. 연구결과, 본 연구의 대상자들은 정보에 대한 판단을 탐색과정의 두 가지 단계에서 내리고 있음이 밝혀졌으며, 이는 예측적 판단과 평가적 판단으로 각각 분석되었다. 웹 정보의 질과 권위에 대한 판단성향과 판단에 영향을 미친 요소를 탐색과제의 유형, 이용자의 신분, 학문영역에 따라 비교하였다.

퍼지이론을 이용한 호소의 부영양화등급 판정방법 개발 (Development of Fuzzy Method for Judging Lake Eutrophication Grades)

  • The eutrophication in lakes is caused by the inflow of excessive nitrogen and phosphorus, which are not only pollutants to reduce the value of water resource but also nutrients for algae growth that debases water quality. Several methods have been used to judge the eutrophication grades of lakes, but the judgment results can be different with one another even under same coditions because each method is different in judgment items and their standards. A method for overcoming the problem with the judgment of eutrophication grades is, therefore, developed in this study with the application of fuzzy theory. This method allows decision makers to represent the uncertainties (differences) of results by the existing judgment methods and also incorporate associated uncertainties directly into the judgment process, so the judgment results can be made that are more realistic and consistent than those made without taking uncertainty in account.

Judgment Gap Analysis between Service Provider and Consumer for Service Design

  • Objective: The aim of this paper is to introduce a method that can measure and analyze the judgment gaps between service providers and customers. Background: It is important to understand the good service that service providers and customers are thinking. If there is judgment gap between service providers and customers, it would cause an unsatisfactory service. The judgment gap should be thoroughly investigated for a good service design. Method: Lens model is a human decision making model that was proposed by Brunswick(1952). This study indicates whether the Lens model can be applied to analyze judgment gaps between service providers and customers. As a case study, a library lending service was selected. 5 librarians and 15 customers participated in the experiment that investigates their judgments on a good service. The obtained data were analyzed by a modified lens model. Results: Cue weighting policies of consumers and service providers were similar, except that consumers gave higher weight on tangibility than service providers. Service providers and consumers had a good knowledge on the service quality, but they could not well apply the knowledge to judge it. Conclusion: The lens model may be used to analyze judgment gaps between service providers and consumers in the other service areas. The decision cues that were used in this study can be changed, depending on the characteristics of the target service. Application: The method that is proposed in this study may help to investigate and analyze both consumers' and service providers' judgments on a variety of services.

The Dark Side of Star Marketing: Celebrity Endorsement Contracts Can Lower Consumers' Judgment of Brand Growth When the Firm is Tech-Focused

  • This research examines how the announcement of a celebrity endorsement contract with a brand can influence consumers' judgment of its future growth in a market. Using both behavioral experiments and an event study analysis, we find that when the brand is perceived to be technology-focused (versus marketing-focused), the information about the celebrity contract can lead consumers to view the brand's future as less promising. Furthermore, we identify consumers' inferences about the quality of the brand as a psychological factor underlying this effect. This paper provides evidence that star-marketing can sometimes signal management's misjudgment about resource allocation for a brand, which unduly invests in celebrity marketing at the expense of quality improvement for the product.

  • Line Operations Safety Audit (LOSA) is a well known preventive aviation safety program for Threat and Error management (TEM). High quality LOSA data suitable for safety management is obtained when a flight crew flies at the same level of attention as ordinary flight. Factors contributing to LOSA data quality may include flight crew's understanding on LOSA purpose, observer's career, and characteristics of the organization responsible for LOSA operations. This study explored purposes of TEM and LOSA, as well as their relationship. Previous studies mentioned quality of LOSA data can be influenced by heuristic judgment, hawthorne effect, and priming effect. This study recognized the importance of LOSA data quality to be effectively used for preventive safety management. It was confirmed that the level of understanding on LOSA concept, experience of the observer, and the characteristics of the department in charge of LOSA operation could affect the quality of LOSA data.

소비자의 자민중심주의, 적대감 및 제품평가가 외국제품 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 한국과 일본 전자제품 구매에 대한 중국소비자를 중심으로 (A Study on the Consumer Ethnocentrism, Animosity and Product Judgment Effect on Foreign Products Purchase Intention : A Comparative Study between Korean and Japanese Electronic Products in China)

  • 소비자의 제품에 대한 평가는 구매의도에 영향이 미친다는 연구 논문들이 이미 나오고 있다. 소비자의 제품 평가는 제품의 품질, 구매 후 만족도와 기타 유형적인 가치에 기초를 두고 있을 뿐만 아니라 원산지 이미지, 브랜드 이미지 등 같은 무형의 가치에 두기도 한다. 일반적으로 소비자의 제품평가는 실질적인 품질이나 구매 후 만족에 의해 편성된다. 이러한 편성은 원산지 이미지와 같은 사회심리적인 영향으로 나타나기도 한다. 본 연구에서는 소비자 자민중심주의와 더불어 과거 수입국 소비자들이 잊을 수 없는 경제적. 정치적이나 심지어 군사적인 활동에 관여됨에 의해 나타나는 제품 원산지에 대한 선입관의 일환인 적대감이 구매의도에 미치는 관계를 연구하고자 한다. 분석 결과, 제품 평가는 구매의도에 정(+)의 영향을 주고 있음을 확인하였으며 소비자 자민중심주의와 적대감은 제품평가와 구매의도에 부(-)의 영향을 주고 있음을 발견하였다. 중국 시장의 경우, 자민중심주의적인 소비자는 외국 제품 구매에 대해 부정적인 인식을 가지고 있으며 또한 중국 소비자들의 일본 제품에 대한 강한 적대감이 제품평가 및 구매의도에 부(-)의 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 일본 기업들은 중국 기업과의 협력과 정부간 친밀감 증대를 위한 노력을 확대시킬 필요가 있다. 반면에 한국 제품의 경우, 제품 평가가 일차적으로 소비자의 구매의도에 영향을 미치고 있으므로 한국 기업들은 소비자의 제품평가의 개선을 위해서 제품의 품질, 구매 후 만족도, 브랜드 이미지와 무형의 요소들을 개선시킬 필요가 있다.

The Relationship Between Three-Level Review System and Audit Quality: Empirical Evidence from China

  • To improve audit quality, certain Chinese auditing firms have added a third-level review by an additional signing auditor to the general evaluation by a signing auditor team consisting of an engagement auditor and a partner. Nonetheless, our research-based on 36,033 firm-year observations from 2004 to 2019 reveals that compared to the general review system, auditor teams under the three-level review system are less likely to issue modified audit opinions when abnormal financial conditions arise. This finding suggests that, while larger auditor teams' knowledge, experience, and information advantages can theoretically sharpen their judgment, their performance is more susceptible to interference from divergent opinions, the diffusion of responsibility, and lower energy invested by individual auditors, ultimately impairing their judgment regarding the audited enterprises' abnormal financial conditions. That is, the three-level review system, which aims to improve audit quality, actually worsens audit quality. This conclusion remains valid after the problems of heteroscedasticity and endogeneity are addressed by using firm-level cluster robust standard errors and two-stage regression. We hope that our research will draw the attention of auditing firms, prompting them to reconsider the rationality of the three-level review system.

CA저장 중 후지 사과의 내부 기체농도에 의한 저장조건의 적합성 판단 (Suitability Judgment of Storage Conditions by Internal Gas Concentration of 'Fuji' Apples under CA Storage)

  • CA 저장 중 후지 사과의 내부 기체 농도에 의한 저장 조건의 적합성을 신속하게 판단하기 위한 지표를 얻기 위하여 과실 내부 에틸렌과 이산화탄소의 농도에 따른 과육경도, 적정산도 및 과피 녹색의 유지정도를 조사하였다. 저장 중 사과의 내부 에틸렌 농도가 10ppm 이하에서는 과육경도, 적정산도 및 과피의 녹색이 거의 손실되지 않았으나 약 10ppm 이상에서는 급격하게 손실되었다. 저장 중 사과의 내부 이산화탄소 농도는 낮을수록 높은 과육경도, 적정산도 및 과피의 녹색을 유지하였는데 특히 내부 이산화탄소 농도가 2% 이하인 사과에서 높은 품질특성을 유지하였다 따라서 후지 사과의 CA저장에 적합한 저장조건은 사과의 내부 에틸렌과 이산화탄소 농도를 각각 약 10 ppm과 약 2% 이하로 유지할 수 있는 조건으로 판단되고, 사과의 내부 에틸렌과 이산화탄소 농도는 저장조건의 적합성을 판단하는 지표로 사용 가능하였다.

성악가의 성종 구분에 관한 문헌적 고찰 (Voice Classification of Trained Classic Singers)

  • Introduction: Actually classification of classic singers' voice depends on habitual judgment by voice teachers or voice trainer referring to vocal timbre, vocal range and vocal quality. Such judgments, however, may turn out to be incorrect because they are based on subjective opinions. Therefore, more objective methodology is required. Method: Foreign dissertations searched through Pub Med, along with foreign and domestic journals, were reviewed regard ing how singers' voice has been categorized. Results: Vocal range, vocal timbre, voice quality, fundamental frequency of habitual speaking, length of vocal tract, the length from cricoid cartilage to thyroid cartilage's thyroid notch and length of vocal fold, tone of passaggio as well as traditional approaches such as perceptual judgment used by professional singers have been used for categorize the voice classification. Conclusion: To optimize categorizing singers' voice, vocal range, vocal timbre, voice quality, fundamental frequency of habitual speaking, length of vocal tract, the length from cricoid cartilage to thyroid cartilage's thyroid notch and length of vocal fold, tone of passaggio may be totally recommended.
