기초 탐구 활동 중심 환경 수업이 초등학생들의 환경적 태도에 미치는 효과 - 초등학교 2학년 슬기로운 생활을 중심으로 - (An Effect of Inquiry Activity-based Environmental Education Class on Elementary School Students' Environmental Attitudes - Focusing on the Intelligent Life of the Second Grade -)

  • This article extracted feasible elements for an environmental education program from the 'Intelligent Life', an integrated subject of the 7th elementary school curriculum, and designed a program for second graders in the elementary school and applied it to them in order to examine how the students' environmental altitudes changed. In the controlled class, the instruction followed the lessons specified in the 7th national curriculum faithfully while for the experimental class 1, only the inquiry activity-based environmental education program was applied. Moreover, in experimental class 2, the inquiry activity-based environmental education program was implemented and wrap-up activity was performed as well with the products. To verify the program, questionnaires on the change of environmental altitudes were distributed and analyzed total three times in the pretest, posttest 1(right after the program), and posttest 2(30 days after the program). T-test was carried out with the SPSS 12 program to verify the effect of the applied program. To make up for the quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis was also conducted. The followings show the results gained after the program was implemented. First, This program showed a significant difference(p<.05) in the students' formation of environmental altitudes. Second, it was verified that the inquiry activity-based environmental education class that reorganized the second grade elementary students' 'Intelligent Life' subject had a more positive effect in the cultivation of environmental altitude than the class that followed the present curriculum as it was. It will be necessary to perform follow-up researches on the relativity between curricula for kindergarteners and lower grade elementary school students.

우리나라 3-10학년 과학 교과서에 나타난 기초탐구과정 분석: 관찰 및 측정 탐구요소를 중심으로 (Analyses of the Basic Inquiry Process in Korean 3-10 Grade Science Textbooks: Focused on Observation and Measurement)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 3학년부터 10학년까지의 과학교과서에 나타난 기초탐구과정 중 관찰과 측정이 어떻게 제시되어 있는지 알아보는 것이다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 관찰에서는 시각을 많이 사용하고, 고학년으로 올라가면서 관찰의 수준이 높아져 '단순관찰'에서 '비교하며 관찰하기'의 수가 증가하였고, 언어표현보다 글표현 방식이 증가하였다. 측정대상은 온도측정이 가장 많았고, 저학년에서 고학년보다 측정 설계가 많이 발견되었다. 측정도구의 사용법은 학년에 맞게 계획적으로 제시되지 않고 교과서의 탐구활동에서 관련된 측정도구가 제시될 때 설명되어 학생들이 측정방볍을 체계적으로 학습하지 못하도록 되어 있었다. 학년이 올라가면서 정성적 측정에서 정량적 측정이 많아졌으며, 단순측정보다 조작측정의 수가 급격하게 증가하였다. 측정결과의 활용에서는 단위사용, 단위변환, 유효 숫자처리, 오차와 불확실도 등에 대한 내용은 거의 제시되지 않는 문제점이 발견되었다.

전문가집단을 활용한 Jigsaw II 협동학습이 과학지식, 탐구능력 및 학습태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Jigsaw II Expert Groupings on Studentis Knowledge, Inquiry Ability and Attitudes at Elementary School Science Study)

  • Recently, introduced open education, there are some models applied several cooperative teaming, but there is no case in applied Jigsaw Ⅱ. So this research is selected objects which are 147 students in the fifth grade in 1999' school year and 143 students in 2000's on Yongwon elementary school. It makes share a partial responsibility for planner, leader, investigator, helper, writer and reporter in the small groups, and apply the Jigsaw Ⅱ model. Qualitative and quantitative analyses show that they have effects of Jigsaw Ⅱ cooperative Learning on Student's knowledge, inquiry ability and attitudes on Elementary School Science Study. The final results are following. The significance of Knowledge has .02 in 1999 and .01 in 2000. Testification of Inquiry ability has 1.75 in 1999 and 2.25 in 2000. The significance of Attitudes has .03 in 1999 and .00 in 2000. Research that has emerged from the cooperative teaming has led us to better understandings of multi purposed roles, interactions, and communities that arise when students work together to team science. Each of students can also cooperative as co-builders, working as equal participants to create a product that is better than that while would have built by either individual alone. Upon asking their intention, cooperative loaming shows more participation.

내러티브 탐구를 통한 심폐소생술금지 (DNR) 환자 간호경험 (Nurses' Experiences of Do-Not-Resuscitate (DNR) by the Narrative Inquiry)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to understand the meaning of the DNR experiences of nurses. Methods: The data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and field records with five nurses from November 2009 to February 2011. The data were analyzed using narrative inquiry methodology. Results: Three fundamental themes were derived from data analysis as following: 'faithfulness to care for comfort,' 'helping for peaceful farewells between the patient and the family,' 'reflecting one's lives with a collision of feeling toward the death.' Conclusion: The results indicate that nurses take a role of an advocate in caring for DNR patients and being concerned about their families' conflict and anguish. In addition, this study indicates the importance of education on living will, advanced directives and preparation for the death tailored to the public including healthcare professionals.

노인의 자기초월 체험에 관한 연구 (The Lived Experience of Self-Transcendence of Elders)

  • This Qualitative nursing research used a hermeneutic phenomenological approach to discover meaning in an self-transcendence experience. The ultimate aim of the inquiry was to discover the essence of self-transcendence experience and to promote understanding. The study used van Manen's Methodology of phenmonological research. Multiple strategies for data collecting were utilized : in depth face-to-face interview and analysis of elders' literature. The following themes of experience emerged : Accepting becoming older as a natural phenomenon, transferring to one's own sons' and daughters' oriented life. Maintaining harmonious relationship with neighbors and peer, observing real situations with silence, forming internal integrity with perseverance, compromising own's real situation, actualizing one's death, giving up roots of life, depending on God and conforming to human limitation. From this study essential themes for understanding self-transcendence experience and needs for continuing inquiry were identified.

소집단 구성 방식이 자유 탐구 수행에 미치는 영향: 소집단 구성 방식을 달리한 두 중학교의 사례 (The Impact of Grouping Methods on Free Inquiry Implementation: The Case of Two Middle Schools Adopting Different Grouping Methods)

  • 이 연구에서는 중학교 자유 탐구에서의 소집단 구성 방식이 학생들의 자유 탐구 수행에 미치는 영향을 혼합 연구방법으로 조사하였다. 강원도 소재 중학교 2곳에서 1학년 각 2학급씩 4학급(남녀 혼성)을 연구대상으로 하였으며, 여교사 2명과 총 113명의 학생들이 참여하였다. 두 학교 학생들을 각각 과학 탐구능력 및 성격 유형에 따라 동질집단과 이질집단으로 편성하였으며, 동일 과제로 약 3주에 걸쳐 자유 탐구를 수행하게 하였다. 소집단 구성 방식이 자유 탐구 수행에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 사후 과학 탐구능력 검사 결과를 통계적으로 비교 분석하였으며, 양적 연구를 보완하기 위한 질적 연구로서 학생 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 및 교사 심층 면접을 실시하였다. 양적 연구결과, 두 학교 모두 소집단을 동질적으로 구성했을 때가 이질적으로 구성했을 때보다 과학 탐구능력에 대한 개인별 향상 지수의 향상 비율이 높게 나타났다. 한편 소집단 구성방식의 효과를 질적으로 분석한 결과, 학생과 교사 모두 인지적인 특성으로 소집단을 구성하기보다 정의적인 특성에 기초하여 소집단을 구성하는 것이 자유 탐구 수행에 더 효과적이라고 인식하고 있었으며, 특히 학생들의 경우 성격 유형에 따른 소집단 구성 방식을 가장 선호하였다. 또한 자유 탐구를 수행했던 일부 학생들과 지도교사들은 소집단을 구성하기 위하여 학생들에 대한 정보를 충분히 수집할 필요가 있으며, 그와 같은 정보를 학생들의 정의적 특성에 따른 소집단의 구성 기준과 혼합하여 사용하는 방식을 제안하였다.

과학의 본성 관련 문헌들의 단어수준 워드임베딩 모델 적용 가능성 탐색 -정성적 성능 평가를 중심으로- (The Study on Possibility of Applying Word-Level Word Embedding Model of Literature Related to NOS -Focus on Qualitative Performance Evaluation-)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 NOS 관련 주제를 대상으로 컴퓨터가 얼마나 효율적이고 타당하게 학습할 수 있는지에 대하여 정성적으로 탐색하고자 한 연구이다. 이를 위해 NOS와 관련되는 문헌(논문초록 920편)을 중심으로 말뭉치를 구성하였으며, 최적화된 Word2Vec (CBOW, Skip-gram)모델의 인자를 확인하였다. 그리고 NOS의 4가지 영역(Inquiry, Thinking, Knowledge, STS)에 따라 단어수준 워드임베딩 모델 비교평가를 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 선행연구와 사전 성능 평가에 따라 CBOW 모델은 차원 200, 스레드 수 5, 최소빈도수 10, 반복횟수 100, 맥락범위 1로 결정되었으며, Skip-gram 모델은 차원수 200, 스레드 수 5, 최소빈도수 10, 반복횟수 200, 맥락범위 3으로 결정되었다. NOS의 4가지 영역에 적용하여 확인한 모델별 유사도가 높은 단어의 종류는 Skip-gram 모델이 Inquiry 영역에서 성능이 좋았다. Thinking 및 Knowledge 영역에서는 두 모델별 임베딩 성능 차이는 나타나지 않았으나, 각 모델별 유사도가 높은 단어의 경우 상호 영역 명을 공유하고 있어 제대로 된 학습을 하기 위해 다른 모델의 추가 적용이 필요해 보였다. STS 영역에서도 지나치게 문제 해결과 관련된 단어를 나열하면서 포괄적인 STS 요소를 탐색하기에 부족한 임베딩 성능을 지닌 것으로 평가되었다. 본 연구를 통해 NOS 관련 주제를 컴퓨터에게 학습시켜 과학교육에 활용할 수 있는 모델과 인공지능 활용에 대한 전반적인 시사점을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

관절통을 경험한 도서지역 여성의 체험연구 (A Phenomenological Perspective and Meaning of joint-pain's Experience of Women's in an island)

  • This Qualitative nursing research was made with a hermeneutic phenomenological approach to find out the meaning and nature of human's experience. The purpose of the inquiry is to find out the meaning and to understand the nature of Joint pain's experience of women in the island and to apply the result to nursing practice. The study was guided by Shin Kyung Rim's four step that revised van Manen's method for doing research. The method of inquiry included : turning to interesting phenomenon. inquiring and investigating experience as it was lived rather than as conceptualized ; reflecting and analyzing essential themes which characterize phenomenon ; and describing phenomenon through art and literature. Multiple strategies for data collecting were needed : deep face to face interview ; analysis of joint pain of women's writings ; describing and analysis of examples of the phenomenon in art, literature. Through this process essensial them of the experience was emerged : Misery that I would like to cut off my body, Sea wind soaking deeply into the bones, Dull pain from the postpartum cold wind, The another suffer I should endure by myself, Recrudesce despite all the try I have made, Often forgetting the pain of every Joint for hardship of life. Findings from artistic and creative inquiry further was validated and meaning was discovered. The study illuminated meaning and simultaneously validated the phenomenological research process. Essential themes for understanding women joint pain's experience, implications, for education, research and practice, direction and need for continuing inquiry were identified.

시스템다이내믹스의 발전과 방법론적 위상 (Issues and Methodological Status of System Dynamics)

  • This paper reviews issues and methodological status of system dynamics and suggest some research agenda for its development in Korea. After reviewing some characteristics of system dynamics approach, including dynamic feedback perspective and endogenous point of view, the paper pointed out methodological characteristics of system dynamics. It seems to be the most notable characteristics of System Dynamics that it use both quantitative and qualitative approach in explaining and modelling reality. Besides, System Dynamicists rely more heavily on refutationism than instrumentalism and this allows System Dynamicists follow more strict way of scientific inquiry. For the development of System Dynamics in Korean academic circle, developing training program and curriculum, networking scattered System Dynamicist all over the country, would be the most important task.

유아의 죽음개념 교육에 대한 교사의 인식 (An Inquiry on Teachers' Perceptions of Education about Death Concepts in Kindergarten Children)

  • This study investigated kindergarten teachers' experience and perceptions of education about death concepts in kindergarten children. Twenty kindergarten teachers were interviewed for this qualitative study. Results were that most kindergarten teachers perceived the necessity of the practice of the education about death concepts for kindergarten children; most kindergarten teachers recognized that all kindergarten teachers need to have professional knowledge for the successful practice of education about death concepts for kindergarten children; most kindergarten teachers recognized that education about death concepts needs to be included in the early childhood education curriculum.
