  • This is qualitative research using grounded theory to examine the experiences that mothers of children with epilepsy can have. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and memo-taking with a total of 13 participants in this study-10 mothers taking care of children with epilepsy and 3 principal informants-and the data were analyzed using the method developed by Strauss and Corbin (1998). As a result of data analysis, 163 concepts, 26 subcategories and 8 categories were formed through open coding. Such categories were analyzed by the paradigm of the grounded theory, and as a result the experiences of the mothers of epileptic children were based on a causal condition of 'confrontation' and the central phenomenon of 'Wandering around the forest under a yoke'. The contextual conditions, which exerted influence on phenomena, were 'stigma cognition', 'personality traits' and 'health of children.' The action/interaction strategy selected by participants was 'Quietly pulling through: Bracing myself, Getting to know my enemy and myself, Taking care while hiding, Putting out one step at a time, Establishing a foothold. The intervening condition affecting action/interaction was 'the support system', and its result was 'watching.'

  • This study explored the appearance management experiences of breast cancer patients undergoing mastectomy. For data collection, one-on-one interviews were held with 18 Korean females diagnosed with breast cancer from the first stage to the third stage from 2008 to 2015. The data was analyzed through a three-step analysis of grounded theory. QSR NVivo 11.0 for Mac was applied in order to avoid biased results according to the subjective viewpoint of researchers. From open coding results, six paradigms and 15 categories were drawn. The results of axial coding showed that the psychological changes category was the central phenomenon. Additionally, three categories (skin changes, scalp/hair changes, and general reactions) were found to be causal conditions, and five paradigms (clothing behavior, skin care behavior, makeup behavior, scalp/hair-care behavior, and shopping behavior) were found to be action/interaction strategies. Last, selective coding integrated fragmented qualitative data through open coding and axial coding in order to derive explanatory narratives. A comprehensive examination of the appearance management behaviors of breast cancer patients suffering from extreme stress due to physical/psychological changes enables this study to provide a foundation for related studies to be activated in the clothing and textiles discipline.

  • The study explores the way professors working in a private university in Korea perceive the recent English-medium instruction (EMI) frenzy in Korean higher education (HE) and the way they respond to its manifestation at their institution. Working within a qualitative research paradigm (Merriam, 2009), I gathered data primarily via one-time semi-structured interviews with ten participants who have offered or are offering EMI at the time of data collection and used a qualitative data analysis method. The findings illustrate that the professors view external factors residing outside individual universities, such as the college rankings and the university evaluation parameters, as the principal drive behind the current EMI boom in Korean tertiary education. Acknowledging the importance of strengthening the international competitive edge of Korean HE in the global era, the professors perceive the EMI policy positively expecting it to be beneficial for both students and institutions. They, however, problematize the blind acceptance of EMI policy and externally forced EMI expansion movement in Korean HE, which they believe will lower the standard of the academic experience of students. Experiencing first-hand the inadequate manifestation of the EMI policy at their university, the professors claim that a systematic long-term implementation plan and context-suitable approaches should be taken at both the national and institutional level for successful future EMI implementation and expansion efforts.

  • Purpose: This study was done to examine interpersonal relations, hope, professional self-concept and turnover intention according to adult attachment styles in early stage nurses. Methods: A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted with 245 nurses who work in one of six general hospitals. Additionally, a qualitative method was used to obtain data on experiences in interpersonal relations. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WINdows 14.0 and qualitative data from open question in the survey questionnaire were analyzed using content analysis. Results: There was a significant difference in interpersonal relations, hope, and professional self-concept according to adult attachment styles. In the interpersonal relation of early stage nurses, 8 themes were identified, of which the most frequent were: a comfortable relationship with my co-workers (43%) and stress from the relationship (34%). Conclusion: Findings from this study should be useful in the development of programs to promote adult attachment and professional self-concept for early stage nurses.

(2) what is the programmers' awareness to the process of program development? and what is the reason for their thought and action to do so. (3) can be discussed integrally the findings for drawing some implications? The qualitative data were mainly gathered through participation observation and unstructured interview. And the qualitative data were analyzed by (1) noting pattern and themes, (2) seeing plausibility, (3) clustering, (4) making metaphors, (5) factoring, and (6) building a logical chain of evidence which hermeneutical techniques far drawing the meaning from the gathered data. The findings of this study were as follows: The programmers of this organization carried out the developing program in the technical training division at the national level and the section of fostering farm manager at the county level for the purpose of delivering the agricultural new technology and the agricultural policy. The term used formly in this organization was `curriculum development for former', and the reality of program was `instruction profile` which signified the set of the educational manin contents. That means that the present researcher carried out qualitative research in multiple ways, investigating many kinds of previous textual data, such as prior published peer-reviewed resources and case studies analysis. Result - The results revealed that directed symbolism has been displayed to improve prosperity and tranquility among employees with an assortment of persistent infections. Like diaphragmatic breathing, reflection practices consolidate zeroing in on a particular article or sensation (like breathing) while at the same time separating from other distracters and controlling inward encounters (for example, feelings, musings) through non-critical acknowledgment. • Purpose: To describe nursing students' experience of sexual harassment during clinical practicum. Methods: An interpretive phenomenological qualitative approach was used to understand contextual experiences of participants. Individual in-depth interviews were conducted to collect data from thirteen nursing students who experienced sexual harassment during clinical practice in general hospitals at D metropolitan city. All interviews were recorded and transcribed into Korean and English. Transcripts were analyzed using the data analysis method described by Diekelmann, Allen, and Tanner. Results: The following 12 themes emerged from the data: 'unprepared to respond', 'lack of education', 'unsure about when behavior crosses the line', 'power differential for nursing students', 'balancing self-preservation with obligations to patients', 'shame', 'feeling responsible for not being able to prevent the harassment', 'impact on patient care', 'fear of what might have happened', 'fear of repercussions', 'long term impact', and 'peer support'. Conclusion: Participants in this study described feeling an obligation to care for their patients. However, they seemed to be unable to balance this while feeling vulnerable to sexual harassment with strong negative feelings. Helping students recognize and effectively deal with sexual harassment is a critical element to assure quality learning for participants and maintain quality of care during clinical practice.

  • Purpose: Organizational crime is an offense committed by an individual or an official in a corporate entity for organizational gain. This study aims to explore the literature on challenges facing digital forensics and further discuss possible solutions to such challenges as far as the protection of corporate crime is concerned. Research design, data and methodology: Qualitative textual methodology matches the interpretative approach since it is a quality method meant to consider the inductivity of strategies. Also, a qualitative approach is vital because it is distinct from the techniques used in optimistic paradigms linked to science laws. Results: For achieving justice through the investigation of digital forensic, there is a need to eradicate corporate crimes. This study suggests several solutions to reduce corporate crime such as 'Solving a problem to Anti-forensic Techniques', 'Cloud computing technique', and 'Legal Framework' etc. Conclusion: As corporate crime increases in rate, the data collected by digital forensics increases. The challenge of analyzing chunks of data requires digital forensic experts, who need tools to analyze them. Research findings shows that a change of the operating system and digital evidence interpretation is becoming a challenge as the new computer application software is not compatible with older software's structure.
