The Planning Characteristic of Community Facilities for the Public Rental Apartment - Concentrated on Public Rental Apartments Approved from 2000 to 2010 - (공공임대아파트 커뮤니티시설의 계획특성 - 2000~2010년 사업승인된 공공임대아파트 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of planning community facilities of public rental apartments by basic and qualitative factors for the last ten years from the year of 2000. This study analyzed the processes and trends of change of the following: land use, tenant satisfaction with the residential environmental amenities, the quantitative increase in accordance with social paradigms, improvement in the quality of residential life, and acceptance of the needs of residents. Therefore, this study will suggest effective and archivable improvements in them. Methods of this study include drawing analyses, literature surveys, and interviews with experts. This study aims to provide essential primary data for planning community facilities for public rental apartments in order to differentiate them from public sales apartments. In the results, community facilities of public rental apartments have been increasing in their size and in the number of their programs as well. It is certain that community facilities are important influence on improving residential environments and the quality of the life. Based on this study, it is more effective to plan community facilities to be connected or extended to other external spaces. And tenant satisfaction should be carried out and put into consideration to help determine if community facilities are adequate. Space compositions should be designed to be flexible per social paradigms and customers needs.

The Study on Eddy Current Characteristic for Surface Defect of Gas Turbine Rotor Material (가스터빈 로터 재질에 따른 표면결함 와전류 특성연구)

  • This paper introduces the eddy current signal characteristic of magnetic and non-magnetic gas turbine rotor. In the past, Magnetic particle inspection method was used in magnetic material for qualitative defect evaluation and the ultrasonic test method was used for quantitative evaluation. Nowadays, eddy current method is used in magnetic gas turbine rotor inspection due to advanced sensor design technology. We are studying on the magnetic gas turbine rotor by using eddy current method. We prepared diverse depth specimens made by magnetic and non-magnetic materials. We select optimum frequency according to material standard penetration data and experiment results. We got the signal on magnetic and non-magnetic material about 0.2 mm, 05 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm 2.0 mm and 2.5 mm depth defects and compare the signal amplitude and signal trend according to defect depth and frequency. The results show that signal amplitudes of magnetic are bigger than non-magnetic material and the trends are similar on every defect depth and frequency. The detection and resolution capabilities of eddy current are more effective in magnetic material than in non-magnetic materials. So, the eddy current method is effective inspection method on magnetic gas turbine rotor. And it has the merits of time saving and simple procedure by elimination of the ultrasonic inspection in traditional inspection method.

  • Department store service is undergoing a rapidly changing social phenomena that is, the qualitative evaluation is getting more attention than the quantitative evaluation. Therefore, in this study, a standard has been prepared according to a service quality evaluation and the result has been analyzed to prepare major points for quality improvement. The differences in perception between department store consumers and department store employees were verified based on these factor categories. Also an attempt was made to reveal the relationship between satisfaction and service quality. When considering all the results of this study, the department store consumers and the department store employees perceived service quality differently from each other. The result is that the characteristics of the users and the suppliers reflect exactly as they are because of the characteristic of the distribution environment.

  • A spectrally arbitrary complex sign pattern A is a complex sign pattern of order n such that for every monic nth degree polynomial f(x) with coefficients from $\mathbb{C}$, there is a matrix in the qualitative class of A having the characteristic polynomial f(x). In this paper, we show a necessary condition for a spectrally arbitrary complex sign pattern and introduce a minimal spectrally arbitrary complex sign pattern $A_n$ all of whose superpatterns are also spectrally arbitrary for $n\;{\geq}\;2$. Furthermore, we study the minimum number of nonzero parts in a spectrally arbitrary complex sign pattern.

Multibubble Dynamics in an Acoustic Field: Theoretical Study and Direct Numerical Simulation by MTS-DiCUP

  • This paper presents a theoretical study concerning multibubble dynamics in a sound field and the numerical validation for it by employing our new CFD code MTS-DiCUP. In recent papers, the author has shown theoretically that an unknown characteristic frequency, named 'transition frequency,' exists in a multibubble system. For a N -bubble case, up to 2N -1 transition frequencies per bubble have been predicted, only N ones of them correspond to the natural frequencies of the system. The transition frequencies that do not correspond to the natural frequencies give rise to the phase reversal of bubbles' pulsation without resonant response. In this paper, it has been suggested theoretically that those transition frequencies may cause the sign reversal of the secondary Bjerknes force, which is an interaction force acting between acoustically coupled gas bubbles. This theoretical result has been validated by the direct numerical simulation, at least in a qualitative sense.

  • Most of printing paper market today have been occupied by western paper and some machine-made Hanji used don't show the characteristic advantages for traditional hand-made Hanji. Although hand-made Hanji has an aesthetic and qualitative value, it has limited uses because of poor printability as printing paper. Unlike western paper, conventional Hanji cannot be used as Printing paper because it is impossible to make the clear formation of printed dot and to develop a high level of sizing and picking problem occurs during printing. Improvements of physical and optical properties such as roughness, smoothness, air permeability, contact angle, opacity, and paper gloss as well as sizing level were accomplished through internal and surface sizing and calendering, which made the paper better suited for printing and decreased problems during printing.

A SIMPLE GRANULE MODEL AND ITS EFFECT ON SPECTRAL LINE ASYMMETRY

  • The accumulated knowledge of the influence of solar granulation on spectral lines, i.e. their asymmetry, provides a key to analyze stellar spectral line asymmetries. In this paper, a simple line synthesis using a simple 'model' of granulation was calculated. By adjusting the properties of the granule model, the observed imprints of convection on spectral lines can be reproduced. Since we depict convective flows using a continuous function rather than using a few components of flows (cf. Gray and Toner 1985, 1986; dravins 1990), we were able to identify which components of convection are important in line bisector shapes. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: Firstly, the intensity contrast (i.e. temperature fluctuation), and the area coverage of up- and down-flows are the two important factors which determine the line bisector shapes. Secondly, on the contrary to the assumption of other studies, the effect of horizontal flows is non-negligible. This exercise provides a qualitative understanding of the effect of convection on spectral lines. This knowledge serves as a guideline for understanding the characteristic difference in convection for stars on either side of the 'Granulation Boundary' (Gray 1982; Gray and Nagel 1989).

  • The purpose of this study is to analysis the concept of location efficiency, a base for the qualitative evaluation of TOD, and to propose the method of urban design for the improvement of location efficiency. Because of the environmental crisis by urbanization, sprawl and global warming, the importance of the solution through TOD has been increasing. For the future development of TOD, it becomes important to evaluate TOD qualitatively. From the study, it is grasped that location efficiency contains the concepts of value recapture, QoL and choice, financial return, and efficient regional land use and patterns. And the method of urban design for location efficiency is proposed as the followings: Form Based Zoning as land use plan, TOD and TOC model as node function, and street systems, mixed-use development, characteristic housing with various types, and networking of neighborhood facilities as place function.

  • The application of Computer is utilized as instruction tool. In order to improve the educational qualitative effect of the moter in the electrical engineering part, this paper has described the development of teaching tool for the structure, principle, characteristics and control method of the induction motor by applying the demonstration and simulation type among various computer aided instructions (CAI). The educational technology is applied to the demonstration type using 3 dimensional model in consideration of a visual effect about the structure and principle of the induction motor. Teaching tool is applied to simulation type which presents onrush various results to understand the characteristic and the control method of the induction motor.

Study on the characteristic and caregiving behavior of families who awarded on filial piety (효행자가족의 특성 및 부양행동 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics and caregiving behavior in families who awarded on filial piety. Using the qualitative method 137 families and social supports to them were analyzed,. The major findings can be summarized as follows (1) Most of caregivers were daughter-in -law over 40 years in 3-generation or 2-generation family. Elderly can be characterized as oldest-old dependent long-term care for more than 10 years. (2) These families showed very high family solidarity with strong collectivity. (3) Their economic emotional and service cares were family-centered with helps from their extended family. These families were supported emotional helps rather than instrumental helps from social network. It was concluded that to help family elder care social support program for the frail elder caregiving families should be complemented in their children support program family life enrichment program for the inter-generational relationship medical care program other social network program and religion program etc. And more concrete and qualified study for the adaptation of filial piety families should be followed.
