  • This paper describes an investigative study for Wind Noise of Passenger Cars. Using statistical method of analyzing jury preference data, we extract important sound quality metrics for subjective feeling and also md important frequency band. It will be helpful for development of wind Noise improvement.

  • A signal equipment improvement project for the existing facility ATS to ATP is under construction in Kyung-Bu and Ho-Nam commercial line including 400 rolling stocks. But there was a concern for the interface between KTX OBCS and ATP from the beginning of the project. At present, this is the front burner event. This paper introduces interface checking and predicted failure point between KTX OBCS and ATP improvement system. Through this measure the optimal installation of the ATP will be possible. The study was made under maintenance efficiency including reliability because the KTX signal equipment must qualify the above condition.

  • ISO 9000 has brought about significant positive effects to the quality management system and quality improvement. This paper develops effective and flexible ISO 9000 quality system based on telecommunication manufactured goods with CSU(Channel Service Unit), ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line), Fiber Optic Multiplexer, HDSL(High-bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line), FDSU(Flexible Data Service Unit), 73 DSU(Digital Service Unit). The case studies of venture telecommunication corporation in establishing ISO 9000 qualify system are also discussed.

  • The importance of usability evaluation is increasing in developing the system(or product). Many usability measures and test methods have been developed in the fields of ergonomics and cognitive engineering. A systematic usability effort using established methods may be qualify as usability engineering. In this paper, general aspects of the usability engineering are introduced, and application methods of usability engineering model based on product's life cycle are presented.

  • Facial expression is innate communication skill of human. Human can recognize theri psychological state by facial parameters which contain surface movement, color, humidity and etc. This study is to quantify or qualify human emotion by measurement of facial electromyography (EMG) and facial movement. The measurement is taken at the facial area of frontalis and zygomaticus The results is indicative to discriminate the positive and negative respond of emotion and to extract the parameter sensitive to positive and negative facial-expression. The facial movement according to EMG shows the possibility of non-invasive technique of human emotion.
