Purpose: A slurry pump for flue gas desulfurization system performs a role that discharges the slurry of a plaster shape in a thermal power plant. Since a slurry pump transfers the slurry by the centrifugal force, it has the friction wear in the impeller and liner because of the slurry. Methods: In this study, failure analysis and test evaluation on the slurry pump have been proposed and the process that reliability of the product improves through design improvement has been presented. And failure cause of typical failure case has been investigated and improvement design has been presented. Results: Reliability improvement is established by analysis of the test results of before and after acceleration test. Conclusion: This study can be provided to improve the product reliability through failure analysis of a slurry pump.

The population of aged people in industries has been increased remarkably due to the decline of birth rates and the increase of average life span. Also, the current automation trends makes aged people to work easy in industries since automation technologies help them to avoid physically hard tasks. Therefore the evaluation of aged workers' adaptability would be an important research topic. In the study, the mean and standard deviation of the reaction time are calculated to see the differences with four lamps's types and ages. It is found that the mean reaction time and the standard deviation are increased with the the increase of age. The quantitative approach provides an important information to be used not only for the adaptability estimation of aged workers but also for the working capability qualification for re-employment.

Periodic safety review on Kori Unit 1 has been successfully done for the first time in Korea. 11 safety factors of the review were fully evaluated in accordance with the domestic legal system. Although it is the oldest nuclear power plant in Korea, Kori Unit 1 was found to have maintained good operating conditions and continuously enhanced its safety by implementing post-TMI action plans and other safety issues, such as replacing steam generators and process/control system. It can be therefore confirmed that safe operation of Kori Unit 1 is guaranteed until next periodic safety review. Nevertheless, some corrective action items were recommended to enhance further its safety level, such as equipment qualification, additional ageing management program, strengthening of some procedures related to administration and human factor. The results of PSR can be utilized for the continued operation beyond the design life as long as the plant safety is maintained and improved. Experiences of the PSR on Kori Unit 1 can be also applied to PSR on other plants.

In order to demonstrate a target reliability with a specified confidence level, a new two-stage Bayesian Reliability Demonstration Test (RDT) plans that is known to be more effective than a corresponding single-stage one is proposed and developed by Bayesian framework with beta prior distribution for Weibull life time distribution. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the proposed RDT plans and compared with other non-Bayesian and Bayesian plans. Comparative results show that the proposed Bayesian two-stage plans have some merits in terms of required and expected testing time and probability of acceptance.

Recently, the roles of the construction engineers become more important in all phases of construction project life cycle. Construction engineers' capabilities is one of the key factors to accomplish construction project objectives. After acquiring basic Knowledge and skills in colleges, the construction engineers have opportunities to develop their abilities through continuous education provided by companies, associations, colleges, and so on. The current eduction system is not sufficient enough to assist engineers to develop their potentials. The construction professionals training system that help career development, career management, education and training is need to raise excellent engineers in a long term perspective. In order to investigate the necessity and the element in the career development support, I perfromed the perception about the career deveolopment by doning question investigation.

PV system is consisted with PV module, inverter and BOS(balance of system). To have robustic operation more than 20 years, the expected and guaranteed durability and reliability of products should be met. Almost components of PV system are qualified through IEC standards at test laboratory. But the qualification certificate of product does not ensure long-term nondefective operation. PV module's expected life time is nowadays more than 20 years and annual maximum power degradation ratio would be less than -1%. But the power degradation ratio is basically based on real data more than several years' record. Developing test method for ensuring annual maximum power degradation ratio is very need because there are many new products every month with new materials. In this paper, we have suggested new test method under continuous artificial light irradiation test condition for analyze expected maximum power drop ratio.

Because the Nuclear power plant needs for the specific high stability and the confidence, it is required that cable shall be flame retardant at fire and endure to be exposed by radiation, chemical fluid, steam and high temperature at sudden accident condition and be maintained its capability on nomal operation up to 40 years as same as it's service life for Nuclear Power Plant. Consequently, In this report, we describe the terms of Environmental Qualification Test for cable and properties required for cable which developed for Nuclear Power Plant.

Dentists who want to perform sedation must have abilities to control any emergent situation that may occur during treatment procedures. In the 2010 guideline for the use of sedation by dentists, he/she must has valid certifications for basic life support (BLS) and for advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS). The Korean Association of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (KACPR) has made a contract with the American Heart Association for education and certification. From 2004, they have held many courses for BLS and ACLS providers and instructors. The author of this research participated in the above mentioned courses and qualified as a BLS provider, BLS instructor and ACLS provider. The present paper was intended as an introduction to and arrangement of BLS and ACLS courses for health care providers through a year of experience. However, the previous course of the ACLS provider was focused more toward medical doctors. It is necessary to develop a new advanced course for dentists who employ sedation in their medical practices.

The objective of the thesis is to analyze a view of the world appeared in . The chapter II 'humanism healing to distort the existence' discussed humanism to be contributive to reviving the original form. Haku's love for wandering Chihiro, Chihiro's love for Haku who is physically and mentally distressed, as he changed to the dragon, and Chihiro's love for her mother and father who the Yubaba transformed into pigs show humanism given without qualification. The chapter III 'asceticism oriented coexistence' discussed asceticism contributive to public order. Chihiro's father and mother transformed into pigs, Yubaba exploiting workers, and Gaonasi eating away in sight show harmful consequences of intense desire. On the contrary to this, a naive Chihiro and a simple Jeniva show benefit of asceticism. The chapter IV 'thought of life regretting modern civilization' discussed thought of life reflecting on contradiction of capitalism. The Stink God character asked to thorough reconsider about modern civilization. Haku leaved his home, river, instructs the important of nature and life.

The analytical result indicates that their sociological variables including education background, age and marital status, and job satisfaction factors including employment term, job title, compensation, organization, promotion, colleague, job transfer have a significant impact on the quality of their life. This means that their job satisfaction affects the quality of life. In other words, it is necessary to create an environment which can offset their complaints about job environment and conditions and furthermore, generate a sense of pride and a rewarding experience. The study suggests transparent, fair HR system and continuous training and management in consideration of employees' qualification, experience and interest to boost a sense of pride and social recognition and increase the level of job satisfaction as a result. In line with this approach, their dedication to bringing positive changes in local communities is also essential.
