덕유산의 생태계 탄소축적량 산정에 관한 연구 (A Study of Accumulated Ecosystem Carbon in Mt. Deogyusan, Korea)

  • 지역적 규모의 탄소순환과 저장량 변화에 대한 자료는 지구적 규모의 탄소순환 형태 변화를 예측하는 중요한 자료가 된다. 따라서 다양한 지역적 규모의 생태계에 대한 자료 수집은 필수적이다. 본 연구는 국내 다양한 생태계 중 자연성이 높은 국립공원지역 산림 생태계의 탄소축적량을 산정하여 자연군락이 축적 가능한 탄소축적 잠재량을 평가하기 위해 진행되었다. 연구대상지인 덕유산국립공원은 신갈나무 우점군락 10,881.5 ha (47.2%), 굴참나무 우점군락 2,314.6 ha (10.0%), 소나무 우점군락 1,952.6 ha (8.5%), 졸참나무 우점군락 402.9 ha (1.7%) 등이 분포하고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 조사구는 군락의 분포지역을 확인하고, 수목밀도와 종조성 등을 고려하여 선정하였고, biomass 탄소축적량을 산정하기 매목조사를 실시하였다. 각 매목조사구 내 토양샘플구 ($30cm{\times}30cm$)를 각 3개씩 설치하여 토양 탄소축적량을 조사하였다. Biomass 탄소축적량과 토양 탄소축적량은 신갈나무 우점군락에서 각각 1,749,000 tC와 7,776,000 tC로 가장 높은 값이 측정되었다. 군락별 전체 생태계에 축적되어 있는 탄소량은 신갈나무 우점군락과, 굴참나무 우점군락, 졸참나무 우점군락, 소나무 우점군락에서 각각 9,536,000 tC, 1,405,000 tC, 147,000 tC, 346,000 tC로 나타났다. 또한 덕유산국립공원의 전체 생태계 탄소축적량은 11,434,000 tC로 산정되었다.

Effect of consecutive shoot-cutting for 3 years on saplings' sprouting regeneration ability of six deciduous oak species in Korea

  • Background: The sprouts of oak species play an important role in maintaining the oak community in a disturbed environment. In this study, we cut 1-year-old oak in three times during the 3 years and measured the sprout responses to know sprouting ability of six deciduous oaks in Korea. Results: Oak sprouts have appeared in spring and fall, and some of the sprouts had lifespan as short as a month. As the number of cutting increases, sprout number of Quercus acutissima increased whereas the other oak species decreased or died. The average number of sprouts over the 3 years was from 1.4 (Quercus mongolica) to 2.2 (Q. acutissima) per individual. Quercus serrata died after the second cutting, and Quercus dentata died after the third cutting. So, the two species have the lowest sprouting ability among six oak species. The sprouts grew actively during fall and slowly in summer. The sprout length during the 3 years was in the following descending order: Q. acutissima, Quercus aliena, Q. dentata, and Q. mongolica. Sprout of Q. acutissima and Q. aliena generated steadily over the 3 years, and sprout of Quercus variabilis and Q. mongolica was changed by year. After the 3 years, the number of sprouts increased only in Q. acutissima but sprout number of the other five oak species decreased. The sprout length of Q. acutissima, Q. aliena, and Q. variabilis increased, but sprout length of the other three oak species decreased. The average survival rate of saplings over the 3 years was in the following descending order: Q. acutissima, Q. aliena, Q. variabilis, and Q. mongolica. Conclusions: As a result, the sprouting ability of Q. acutissima was the highest. Such level of sprouting ability may be the evidence of how Q. acutissima community exists as a dominant species in a disturbed environment in lowlands of Korea peninsula.

월출산 국립공원 추이대 군락의 수직적 분포를 통해 본 지구 온난화의 영향과 금후의 천이 가능성 (Influences of Global Warming and Succession Possibility through Vertical Distribution of Communities in Ecotone, Wolchulsan National Park)

  • This study aims at classifying and interpreting on the vegetation structure and analyzing the correlationship between communities and environmental conditions in Mt. Wolchulsan. We also predicted the succession possibility and the vertical distribution change of vegetations according to the global warming, through the pioneer species of a forest change and dominant species of canopy vegetations. We also analyzed the Raunkiaer's life-form. The communities in this ecotone are distributed vertically in the order of a Quercus acuta community, a Q. serrata-Q. variabilis community and a Q. serrata community. A Pinus densiflora community appears on the most of altitudes. The distribution of communities correlates highly with an altitude. The Q. serrata-Q. variabilis community will be succession to the Q. acuta community, and the Q. variabilis will be under natural selection gradually or remain locally. The Q. serrata community will possibly maintain as it is, and the P. densiflora community will be also under natural selection gradually. The valuable quantitative and numerical life-forms are confirmed and the layer structure of present vegetation will not be changed.

데미샘 주변의 식물 분포와 군락 분류 (Community Classification and Distribution of the Vascular Plants in the Daemisaem Region)

  • The vascular plants of the study area in the Daemisaem region were listed as 302 taxa; 81 families, 196 genera, 251 species, 1 subspecies, 42 varieties, 7 forms and 1 hybrid. Based on the list of Korean endemic plants, 7 taxa were recorded; Carex okamotoi, Salix purpurea var. japonica, Thalictrum uchiyamai, Lespedeza ${\times}$ tomentella, Weigela subsessilis, Aster koraiensis, Cirsium chanroenicum. Specific plants by floral region were total 21 taxa; Silene jenisseensis, Cimicifuga heracleifolia in class IV, 3 taxa (Lilium leichtlinii var. tigrinum, Betula davurica, Lonicera subhispida) in class III, 3 taxa (Viola tokubuchiana var. takedana, Ligularia fischeri, Cirsium chanroenicum) in class II, 13 taxa (Glyceria leptolepis, Meliosma oldhamii, Fraxinus mandshurica, etc.) in class I. The naturalized plants in this site were 8 families, 20 genera, 23 species, 1 varieties, 24 taxa and naturalization rate was 7.9% of all 302 taxa vascular plants. The vegetation community of the selected Daemisaem region were growth of configuration to slope, ridge and valley; Quercus variabilis community, Quercus serrata community, Quercus mongolica community, Salix koreensis community in the slope, Quercus mongolica community, Carpinus tschonoskii community in the ridge, Fraxinus mandshurica community, Carpinus laxiflora community, Acer mono community, Cornus controversa community, Morus bombycis community in the valley.

Vegetation Structure of Hovenia dulcis Community in South Korea

  • Objectives of this study are to make clear the vegetation structure of Hovenia dulcis community in the Korean Peninsula over ten mountains including 17 plots. The results were summarized as follows. Habitat of the community indicated that elevation ranged from 115 meter to 720 meter at the sea level, slope aspect in nearly all directions, bare rock from 0 to 90 percent, slope degree from 10$^{\circ}$ to 40$^{\circ}$, topography from valley to middle slope, the height of tree layer from 8m to 22m, the diameter at breast height from 12cm to 59cm and coverage from 65% to 95$\%$$\%$

내장산 남부지역의 삼림식생 (Forest Vegetation of Southern Area of Mt. Naejang National Park, Korea)

  • 내장산 국립공원 남부지역의 삼림식생을 분류하고 그들의 분포를 조사하였다. 이 지역에는 현재 느티나무, 비자나무, 갈참나무, 서어나무, 개서어나무, 굴참나무, 졸참나무, 신갈나무와 소나무군락 등이 분포하고 있다. 신갈나무군락은 해발 600 m 이상에 분포하고, 해발 250 m∼600 m 사이의 건조한 등성이에는 굴참나무 군락이 많으나 비교적 습한 사면에는 졸참나무군락이 분포하며, 해발 200 m∼400 m 사이의 습한 지소에는 개서어나무군락이 그리고 비교적 건조한 지소에는 서어나무군락이 분포한다. 또 계곡 주변의 습한 사면에는 갈참나무군락이 그리고 전석지에는 느티나무군락이 분포하고, 백양사 주변에는 비자나무가 큰 군락을 이루고 있다. 소나무군락은 산의 아랫부분과 메마른 등성이를 따라 분포하고 있다. 이러한 종조성적 특징에 따른 군락의 유형 분류와 분포 그리고 상관에 의하여 이 지역의 현존식생도를 작성하였다.

대구 인접지역에 대한 삼림식생의 군락분류 (Syntaxonomy of the Forest Vegetation and Surrounding Taegu, Korea)

  • 1994년 9월부터 1997년 8월까지 대구 인접지역의 삼림식생에 대한 식물사회학적 조사가 이루어졌다. 그 결과 조사지역에서 삼림식생은 신갈나무군락(전형하위군락, 대사초하위군락), 굴참나무군락, 상수리나무군락, 떡갈나무군락, 고로쇠나무-까치박달군락(전형하위군락, 졸참나무하위군락, 층층나무하위군락), 소나무군락(전형하위군락, 오이풀하위군락, 철쭉꽃하위군락), 털진달래-그늘사초군락, 아까시나무식재림, 리기다소나무식재림, 일본잎갈나무식재림, 곰솔식재림, 잣나무식재림의 7군락, 8하위군락, 5식재림으로 구분되었다. 신갈나무군락의 식별종은 신갈나무, 뱀고사리, 철쭉꽃, 쇠물푸레, 노린재나무, 노루오줌, 병꽃나무, 꽃며느리밥풀, 고로쇠나무-까치박달군락에서는 고로쇠나무, 까치박달, 서어나무, 고추나무, 소나무군락에서는 소나무, 졸참나무, 댕댕이덩굴, 노간주나무로 각각 나타났다. 특히 졸참나무는 소나무군락의 관목층과 초본층에서 높은 상재도를 보였다. DCA에 의한 요인분석에서는 표조작에 의한 군락분류와 유사한 군락의 분포패턴을 보였으며, 습도구배에 따라 각 군락의 특성이 결정되는 것으로 나타났다. 소나무군락의 철쭉꽃하위군락과 신갈나무군락의 전형하위군락은 유사한 입지환경에 분포하는 것으로 나타났다.

주왕산국립공원 자연보존지구의 삼림군집구조에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Structure of Forest Community at Nature Conservation Area in Chuwangsan National Park)

  • 주왕산 국립공원의 자연보존지구를 중심으로 분포하고 있는 천연림의 생육현황과 구조를 정확히 파악하고자, 이 지역에 21개의 방형구(20$\times$20m)를 설치하여 식생을 조사하였다. Cluster 분석한 결과 두 개의 집단으로 분류되었다. 수종간의 상관관계는 서어나무와 물푸레나무, 졸참나무와 굴참나무, 생강나무와 국수나무 등의 수종들 간에는 비교적 높은 정의 상관관계를, 고로쇠나무와 쇠물푸레, 당단풍과 굴참나무 둥의 수종들 간에는 높은 부의 상관관계를 보였다. 본 조사지의 종다양도는 1.1306~l.2688로 비교적 높게 나타났다.

지리산국립공원의 산림식생에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Forest Vegetation of Jirisan National Park)

  • In this study, the forest vegetation of Jirisan National Park were classified into 20 communities, 3 subcommunities by the Z-M method. In the analysis of environmental factors, the organic matter and total nitrogen had the highest correlation on the subalpine forests. among them Picea jezoensis community showed the highest, Betula ermanii community, Taxus cuspidata community, Pinus koraiensis community, Abies nephrolepis community and Abies koreana community were represented in order. the K, Mg, Ca had correlation on th montane forests; Quercus mongolica community, Quercus serrata community, Stewartia pseudocamellia community, Pinus densiflora community, Quercus variabilis community were in order. the total nitrogen, electrical conductivity and organic matter had the highest correlation of the montane ravine forests; Fraxinus mandshurica community, Abies holophylla community, Betula costata community, Cornus controversa community and Carpinus laxiflora community were in order.

지구온난화를 고려한 지리산 국립공원 내 사찰림의 식생구조 연구 (Study of Vegetation Structure about Shrine Forest in Jirisan National Park with Regard to Global Warming)

  • This study aims at classifying and interpreting on the shrine forest vegetation located in Jirisan national park affiliated to an ecotone in southern part of Korea, foreseeing a vegetation change based on composition species and dominant species on canopy, and proposing the direction of vegetation management. The shrine forests were classified into the 7 community units as Chamaecyparis obtusa-Cryptomeria japonica afforestation, Pinus densiflora community, Pinus rigida afforestation, Quercus variabilis-Quercus serrata community, Zelkova serrata-Kerria japonica for. japonica community, Phyllostachys bambusoides forest, Camellia japonica community. This research is also expatiated on the analogous results of ordination analysis with phytosociological analysis. The constituents of deciduous broad-leaved forest in the warm temperate zone were appeared in the most vegetations. It emerged less that the constituents of evergreen broad-leaved forest in the warm-temperate zone and deciduous broad-leaved forest in the cold-temperature zone. The life form analyses were made use with the two ways: appearance species in total communities and each community. The species diversity of shrine forests is declined because the high dominances of Sasa borealis and Pseudosasa japonica emerged in the shrub and herb layers. These shrine forests will be succession to Q. variabilis-Q. serrata community as the representative vegetation of deciduous broad-leaved forest in the warm-temperate zone, owing to the temperature rise by global warming, and an evergreen broad-leaved forest will be able to be also formed if a temperate rise will be continued. The one of the artificial management of shrine forests is to consider the introduction of the constituents of evergreen broad-leaved forest in the warm-temperate zone.
