In this paper, we introduce the results of the testing and observation systems for performance wideband expansion in the Korean VLBI Network(KVN). The KVN performs VLBI observations to 1024 Mbps data rate, and 8192 Mbps observing for four simultaneous observation is now evaluating for normal operation. The VLBI stations in several world countries developed their own wideband observing systems to observe the celestial objects with high precision and high resolution or are working with several countries. The KVN is planning to introduce a high-speed sampler, OCTAD, for sampling directly up to 2048 MHz bandwidth for RF signal of K/Q/W/D band in the frequency band without conversion. Therefore, as a preliminary study for the performance scalability of the KVN then through the close cooperation with National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ), the OCTAD high-speed sampler and OCTADISK2 high-speed recorder were installed in the KVN Yonsei station, and verify the performance through a wideband.
IEEE 802.11ay Wi-Fi is the next generation wireless technology and operates in mmWave band. It supports the MU-MIMO (Multiple User Multiple Input Multiple Output) transmission in which an AP (Access Point) can transmit multiple data streams simultaneously to multiple STAs (Stations). To this end, the AP should perform MU-MIMO beamforming training with the STAs. For efficient MU-MIMO beamforming training, it is important for the AP to estimate signal strength measured at each STA at which multiple beams are used simultaneously. Therefore, in the paper, we propose a deep learning-based link quality estimation scheme. Our proposed scheme estimates the signal strength with high accuracy by utilizing a deep learning model pre-trained for a certain indoor or outdoor propagation scenario. Specifically, to estimate the signal strength of the multiple concurrent beams, our scheme uses the signal strengths of the respective single beams, which can be obtained without additional signaling overhead, as the input of the deep learning model. For performance evaluation, we utilized a Q-D (Quasi-Deterministic) Channel Realization open source software and extensive channel measurement campaigns were conducted with NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) to implement the millimeter wave (mmWave) channel. Our simulation results demonstrate that our proposed scheme outperforms comparison schemes in terms of the accuracy of the signal strength estimation.
Recently, RF inductor having researched by many workers, we fabricated and investigated properties of RF inductors. In order to improve the Q-factor (Quality), we try to apply the patterned Fe$_{78.81}$Ta$_{8.47}$N$_{12.71}$ soft magnetic thin film of 5000 which shows magnetic anisotropy of 30 Oe. Thus, patterned magnetic film was artificially increased magnetic anisotropy lead to increasing of ferro-magnetic resonance frequency up to GHz band. Coil as part of inductor was fabricated by lift off process. The dimension of RF inductor was designed 47un, rectangular shape, and measured properties. In the case of Ti/Ag air core type inductor shows Q of 9, inductance of 8.4 nH at 2 GHz. Magnetic film employed inductor shows inductance of 9 nH and FMR resonance frequency was 700 MHz.
After phthalonitrile derivatives were synthesized by the introduction of phenoxy, 2-naphthoxy or 4-trityl phenoxy group on ${\alpha}$- and ${\beta}$-position, oxovanadyl phthalocyanine (VOPc) derivatives containing electron-rich substituent group at different position were synthesized successfully in this investigation. The chemical structure of samples was determined by the means of $^1H$-NMR, MALDI-TOF mass spectroscopy, and FT-IR spectrometer. Also, optical and chemical properties were determined by the means of UV-Vis spectrometer, X-ray diffractometry, and thermo gravimetry. It was found that the maximum absorbing wavelength of VOPc derivatives ranged from 684 to 726 nm. Also, their solubility and Q-band were enhanced and shifted by the introduction of substitute group, respectively.

This paper presents a multiband low phase noise CMOS VCO with wide frequency tunability using switched bondwire inductor bank. The combination of bondwire inductor and CMOS switch transistor enhances frequency tunability and improves phase noise characteristics. The proposed multiband VCO operates from 2.3GHz to 6.3GHz with phase noise of -136dBc/Hz and -122dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset frequency, respectively. Switched bondwire inductor bank shows high quality factor(Q) at each frequency band, which allows better tradeoff between phase noise and power consumption. The proposed VCO is designed in TSMC 0.18um CMOS process and consumes 7.2 mW power resulting in figure of merit(FOM) of -189.3dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset from 6GHz carrier frequency.

In this paper, a negative impedance converter, the key element of non-Foster matching to enhance the bandwidth of matching high Q-factor passive element, is presented. Proposed negative impedance converter is implemented by the topology of Linvill's transistor negative impedance converter circuit. It is hard to forecast the operation of negative impedance circuit, because it is composed of gain element and positive feedback. Therefore the negative impedance circuit is implemented by hybrid type beforehand to check out the feasibility and it is designed by integrated circuit. The integrated circuit is fabricated by commercial $0.18{\mu}m$ SiGe BiCMOS process, and non-Foster matching is observed at 700~960 MHz band by cancelling the target reactance.

The 1-3 piezoelectric composite transducer with 75 volume percents PZT was fabricated by the dicing-filling method. The resonance modes of the 1-3 transducer have been studied with electric impedance measurement as a function of frequency. The fundamental frequencies of the planar and thickness mode were observed at 0.95MHz and 1.63MHz respectively, but the lateral mode was not observed. In the thickness mode, the electromechanical coupling coefficient of the 1-3 piezoelectric composite transducer, 0.54, was very closed to that of the single phase PZT(0.52). The pulse-echo response by exciting the 1-3 transducer with an electric pulse was observed from the water/reflector interface, and analyzed bandwidth by the spectrum of the impulse response. The quality factor Q for the 1-3 transducer was observed as 1.5 smaller than that of the single phase(80) and then the 1-3 transducer may be used to the broad band type transducer applications.
Despite it has been mentioned that the successful restoration in landscape level was achieved in the Young-il soil erosion control project, quantitative evaluation of restored plant communities (Alnus firma as introduced species and Pinus thunbergii as native species) was hardly founded. Light availability, litter and woody debris cover, and forest structure and composition were determined for 500 m2 band-quadrat in three forest types. Abiotic factors of Q. serrata stands, as reference forest, and A. firma stands were similar but not for P. thunbergii stands. There were no significant difference on mean stem density (stems ha-1, H = 3.6, p = 0.162), and the mean basal area of each stand had marginal significance (m2 ha-1, H = 5.7, p = 0.058) among stands as total basal area was higher with the order of A. firma (21.4 m2 ha-1), P. thunbergii (19.8 m2 ha-1) and Q. serrata (16.2 m2 ha-1). Restoration of vegetation structure was more effective in fast-growing and N-fixing A. firma, as introduced species plantation. However, result of MRPP, NMS ordination and ISPAN for herbaceous layer, not for tree and shrub species composition, indicated that restoration of ground vegetation was likely influenced highly from local environment. Propagule availability from landscape context such as connectedness to natural vegetation and management practices in restored isolated stands are available explanations for restoration effects and gaps between restored plantations and secondary oak forest.

A new electronically stopband tunable filter is proposed with three-input single-output using Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA) in this paper. The proposed filter provides band pass, low pass and high pass multifunctional responses. Centre frequency ($f_c$) and quality factor (Q) of the realized filters could independently tuned without disturbing each other. Various network sensitivity and non-ideal characteristic analysis are done to check the sensitivity and parasitic effect of different circuit parameters. The CMOS realization of filter is done with 1.8V-0.18um process parameters and HSPICE simulation results are presented to assert the presented theory.
