  • Covid-19, which has made a huge difference in our daily lives, has also brought major changes to our college education. As the class was changed from the traditional face-to-face class to a non face-to-face class, both teachers and students had difficulties in adapting, and problems such as the occurrence of academic achievement gaps due to non face-to-face classes were also raised. Therefore, this study aims to find out what attitudes students have toward non-face-to-face classes at universities caused by Covid-19. Accordingly, this study tried to identify the types of subjective perceptions college students have toward non-face-to-face classes by applying the Q methodology, and to suggest points for reference in the development and improvement of non-face-to-face classes in the future. Five types were found as a result of analysis using 30 P samples and 34 Q samples. First, learning efficiency-oriented type, second, class participation and communication-oriented type, third, non-face-to-face class active acceptance and utilization type, fourth, dissatisfaction type due to remote system and equipment operation errors, fifth, passive response type according to the situation to be. From the results of this study, it seems that it is necessary to develop an educational method for effective non-face-to-face class considering the characteristics of each type, and the merits of non-face-to-face classes, especially recorded lectures, in terms of learning efficiency, are evident. Therefore, even if face-to-face classes are conducted entirely at universities, it is believed that providing video-recorded lectures in class will be of great help to students' learning.

For the analysis, 29 samples of 29 samples were obtained from 29 samples of P samples. As a result of analysis, three types were defined. In other words, emphasizes 'participation of residents', 'building ties', and 'improvement of life quality of residents' is named it "Quality of residents life-Relationship Type". emphasizes 'improvement of quality of life of residents' and 'satisfaction of community needs' and named it "Quality of residents life- Desire for community needs Type". emphasizes 'participation of residents' and 'improvement of quality of life of residents' and named it "Participation of Residents-Quality of Life Type". The respondents' characteristics according to type, it was found that there was a difference in recognition of community welfare by individual characteristics. So, we hope to enhance the usefulness of the hypothesis abductive approach and to extend the study to future quantitative research.

  • This study has three purposes. Firstly, we try to extract the types of the motives of OCBO & OCBI instead of global OCB. Secondly, we compare the types of the motives OCBO & OCBI and those of the motives of global OCB. Finally, using another set of P-sample, we try to find out whether the four types of the motives of OCB found in the study of Kim & Lee(2013) could be found once again. The findings are as follows. First, we found the four types of the motives of OCBO, and three the types of the motives of OCBI. Second we found some similarities and differences at the same time between the types of OCBO, OCBI, & global OCB. Third, except the instrumentality-based type, three of the four types found in the study of Kim & Lee(2013) reappeared in this study. In conclusion, these findings suggest that OCBO & OCBI, the sub-dimensions of OCB, have their own distinctive natures respectively.

  • This study aims to deeply analyze the subjective attitude of jazz performance audiences in Korea using Q methodology. In order to establish a population for the research, we decided 'People's mind about jazz performances' as the main topic and finally selected a Q model consist of 38 statements after having a depth interview with corresponding experts. Additionally, from January to February 2019, we implemented a Q-sorting and individual interview to total of 27 people including people majored in music, jazz club members and other citizens. The result were the following. First of all, a musical-interest oriented type. People of this type understood watching jazz performance as a daily leisure activity and went to watch a show more than once a month on overage. Those people obtained information of performances and actors before attending a show using social network such as SNS and jazz clubs. They also had a big desire to have an emotional interaction with jazz musicians while having a fan signing event or performance. Secondly, a general-interest oriented type. This type of people had a tendency of considering watching a jazz performance as a especial experience and not a daily life event. Attending a jazz performance was a novel experience which could be done with their close friends in a special day. Thirdly, people with self-value oriented type. This people were majored in jazz and classic in their universities. As they had a concrete perspective, professional knowledge and experiences, they were more sensitive on the general quality of the performances such as show's sound, light, video, sound system of the theater, player's ability, level of facilities, accessibility, etc. rather than the reputation of an artist. This research did not only revealed jazz audience's subjective tendency using Q methodology but also demonstrated the types of jazz audiences and their characteristics. Therefore, this could be a meaningful study for suggesting a significant implication for the marketing mix of performance planning on each jazz audience type.

  • Teachers' presuppositions of nature of science, scientific causality, and nature are unconsciously constructed through interactions with his or her physical and social environment everyday and it began even before they were in any formal education. It directly influences their teaching later. Thus, this study examined what comprehensive presuppositions in nature of science, scientific causality, and nature are held by in-service secondary science teachers. For the study, Q-methodology was used. Q-sorting was done on 81 statements from three instruments: Nature statements, the Test of Preferred Explanations, and the Nature of Science Scale with twelve in-service science teachers. Teachers sorted the statements along a presented agreement scale of their viewpoint and the collected data was analyzed using recommended procedures for Q-sorts in order to group teachers with similar views. As a result, ten participants were placed in five factors based on their presuppositions of science, scientific causality, and nature and distinctive features of each factor were discovered. In addition, the study confirmed that presuppositions of science, scientific causality, and nature are interrelated. This study method will be helpful to discover more relationships regarding teachers' various viewpoints further.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine types and characteristics of self-regulation which explain how individual diabetic patients determine their behavior in terms of diabetes management. Based on the results, we proposed the management method of the diabetic patients. As a method of analyzing the subjectivity of each item, a Q method study was used. There were 38 subjects who were treated with oral drugs or insulin injections, but not currently hospitalized. And 40 statements in Q samples were classified in the form of a normal distribution using a 9-point scale. Research results regarding self-regulation in diabetic patients, type 1 is evidence-based compliance, type 2 is crisis responding denial reaction, type 3 is information-based orientation to relationship, type 4 is independent practice, and type 5 is willingness deficit impulse reaction. Therefore, for effective management of diabetic patients, it is necessary to understand the characteristics of each type of self-regulation and develop a program that reflects motivation for diabetes management, improvement of confidence, and countermeasures for negative emotions related to disease.
