The study was implemented through a descriptive survey method based on a self-administered questionnaire. The sample consisted of 759 women between the ages of 21 and 49, residing in the area of Seoul, Gwangju, and Gyeonggi Province. There were significant differences in the levels of consideration of labels among consumers from each type of distribution channel. Consumers that prefer door-to-door sales consider the information about ingredients more crucial than consumers who prefer other types of distribution channels, department store consumers consider manufacturer information more important, and consumers who prefer specialty stores/chains and discount stores consider the date of manufacture less important than other types of distribution channels. Significant differences were found in consumer satisfaction with cosmetics after purchasing among consumers from each type of distribution channels. A significant relationship was found between the level of considering the product information listed on the labels and the satisfaction with the cosmetics. With respect to most of the factors, a higher level of label consideration was correlated with a higher satisfaction with cosmetics after purchase.

  • This study was targeted on the non-processed, semi-processed, and full-processed seafood to investigate the consumers' importance and satisfaction levels of purchase attributes for each seafood product. The present study conducted a survey on 335 randomly chosen seafood consumers. Respondents' importance-satisfaction scores of purchase attributes were measured. The results were as follows. The importance of purchase attributes was significantly higher than the satisfaction on 21 out of 23 attributes, according to the non-processed, semi-processed, and full-processed seafood(p<0.05). Consumers regarded intrinsic attributes such as 'freshness' of products as very important when purchasing non-processed seafood, and their satisfaction was also high. On the other hand, for semi-processed and full-processed seafood, external attributes such as 'date of manufacture or expiration date' were considered as more important attributes to purchase them. Consumers also perceived that full-processed seafood was less in quantity and more expensive than non-processed and semi-processed ones. In case of semi-processed seafood, the difference of importance-satisfaction score for 'taste' was large, and it was considered the taste should be improved according to consumers' taste.

  • The growth of online malls encourages the existing offline stores to manage their online stores or reinforce the purchasing service through related mobile applications (apps). This may seem to be the omni-channel strategy for connecting the existing customers to online shopping. This study, research on offline stores' acceptance of and satisfaction with smart phone apps, attempted to arrange some factors allowing consumers to be satisfied with such apps, and examine whether the satisfaction with the apps lead to that with the stores based on the EMTAM (Extended Mobile Technology Acceptance Model). In particular, the existing stores trying to enhance the omni-channel put on emphasis on the synergy between online and offline stores, rather than replace offline store with online ones. The results of an analysis showed that the factors influencing the satisfaction with apps included mobile usefulness (MU), mobile ease of use (MEOU) and mobile enjoyment (MEJ), and that the satisfaction with them had an effect on that with stores. On the basis of the findings, this study summarizes theoretical and practical suggestions.
