Understanding Consumer Purchase Intention via Mobile Shopping Applications: An Empirical Study from Vietnam

  • With the dramatic increase in mobile usage, more and more businesses see the potential of m-commerce. This study focuses on a subcategory of m-commerce, a mobile shopping application. To understand the purchase intention via m-commerce applications, this study is aimed to identify the main factors that are related to the applications and explore the influence of these factors on consumers' mobile shopping intention. This study uses quantitative research methods and selects Vietnam as its case study. The survey responses of 450 Vietnamese mobile shoppers were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicated that online reviews, e-service quality, and information quality are significant predictors of behavior intention, and perceived risk negatively influences consumer online purchase intention via the applications. The content enriches the combined research of detailed and possible models with quality dimensions and risk perception. Practitioners such as e-retailers and developers can enhance the quality of applications and determine strategies to reach potential users and maximize revenue. M-commerce providers should pay adequate attention to credible and influential online reviews since mobile shoppers heavily rely on reading reviews before buying a product.

  • This research will study the conversion intention of the users in China from fuel vehicle to new energy vehicles through the empirical methods. To this end, a questionnaire survey was conducted with car users as the object, combined with the theory of user migration and the PPM model to analyze the impact of fuel vehicle users' conversion intention to new-energy vehicles factor. The results showed that purchase experience contains the moderating effect, in which perceived risk and switching costs had a greater impact on the groups without purchase experience, whereas social identity, perceived value, personal attitude, and willingness to switch had a greater impact on groups with the purchase experience. Among all five factors, perceived risk had no discernible impact on the switching intention, but social identity, perceived value, attitude toward switching, and switching costs all had discernible impact on the switching intention. This study expects to come out with sustainable advises for the future growth of new energy vehicles from the study of car users' switching intention and the collective difference test of purchasing experience.

무역계약에서 인지된 위험과 신뢰가 지속가능한 거래관계에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Influences of Perceived Risk and Trust on the Business Relationship in the Contract of International Transaction)

  • This study examines the model of perceived risk, trust, and continuous transaction intentions presented in a study of the buying behavior in International Transaction. Although most of the trade transactions have been studied as a legal supplement, trade transactions are also purchasing behavior aimed at maintaining continuous transaction intentions between the parties. The study results confirmed that perceived risk could be separated into risk neutrality, risk - taking and risk aversion, and perceived risk had an effect on trust. In addition, the trust affected by perceived risk in the trade transaction model has a statistically significant effect on continuous transaction intentions. The study results confirm that the theoretical background used in previous studies of purchase behavior models is also effective in trade transaction.

미디어 형식과 위험 메시지 구성이 감정적 위험인식과 행위의도에 미치는 영향 (The effect of media modality and the valence of risk messages on affective risk perception and behavioral intention)

  • 본 연구에서는 미디어 형식과 위험 메시지 구성에 따라 방사선 조사식품에 대한 즉각적이고 감정적인 반응과 숙고적 행동의도가 어떻게 형성되는가를 살펴보고자 했다. 이를 위해 $3{\times}2$ 피험자간 실험을 통해 방사선 조사식품과 관련된 문자, 음성, 동영상 형태의 정보를 긍정 혹은 부정적으로 서술하여 피험자에게 제공했다. 이후 암묵적 측정법의 일환인 수정된 EAST 방법을 이용하여 피험자의 감정적 위험인식을 측정하고 설문을 이용해 방사선 조사식품의 구매의도를 측정했다. 연구결과는 전반적으로 미디어 형식과 메시지 구성이 피험자의 감정적 위험인식과 구매의도에 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 미디어 형식의 효과는 메시지 구성간의 상호작용 효과가 유의미하였다. 즉 문자와 동영상 정보의 경우 긍정적 메시지가 위험인식을 낮추고 구매의도를 높이지만 부정적 메시지는 반대의 결과를 보였다. 그러나 음성 조건에서는 긍정적 정보와 부정적 정보가 감정적 위험인식과 구매의도에 차별적인 영향을 주지 못했다. 이러한 결과는 같은 정보라도 어떠한 미디어를 통해 전달되는가에 따라 위험인식이 다르게 형성될 수 있으며 이 때 메시지의 내용구성에 따라 미디어 형식의 효과는 다르게 나타날 수 있다는 것을 시사한다.

유통업자상표 의류 구매의도에 미치는 영향요인에 관한 연구 (Influential Factors on Customers Purchasing Intentions of Private Brand Apparel)

  • Private brands play an important role in formulating the marketing strategies of fashion goods. Merchandisers of Korean department stores are now realizing that the effective marketing of private brands can increase customers store loyalty as well as store profitability. Thus, it is important to better understand customer's decision making processes underlying the purchase of private brand apparels. However, Little research had been undertaken to examine integrated factors influencing purchases of private brand apparel. Therefore, the objective of this study is to propose a model of purchasing intentions of private brand apparel. This study pays attention to (1) perceived value, (2) familarity, (3) store image, (4) differenciated needs, (5) perceived risk, and (6) perceived quality variation of private brand. The proposed model supports all hypotheses presented in the paper. Purchase intentions of private brand increased as perceived money, familiarity, positive store image of private brands, and satisfaction of individuals differentiated needs increase. Furthermore, perceive value of private brand increased as perceived risk and quality variation of private brand increased.

  • 본 연구는 제품지향성과 지각된 가격수준에 따라 심미적 반응에 대한 전형성효과가 어떻게 달라지는지를 검증하고자 하기 위한 것이다. 본 연구를 통하여 기존연구가 전형성과 선호도간의 관계에 대한 의견의 일치를 보이지 못하는 것과 관련하여 제품지향성과 지각된 가격수준으로 세분화하여 분석함으로써 그러한 한계점을 극복하고 결과적으로 심미적 반응에 대한 전형성의 효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 디자인지향적 제품의 경우에는 전형성과 선호도간의 역U자형 관계를 나타내고 있을 것으로 파악되었으나 상대적으로 기능지향적 제품의 경우에는 전형성과 선호도와의 관계는 나타나지 않았다.

In this study, this time looking at the risks and benefits of medical tourism potential factors consumers feel the Chinese people for South Korea medical tourism, economic, based on existing research, functional, temporal, social, and psychological setting factors, risks and benefits conducted a study of the relationship between the purchase of your help. Risk factors identified through this study, we investigate expanding the overseas medical tourism market to visit Korea by managing the benefits and know the strategic implications that can achieve customer satisfaction by the service convenient for Chinese tourists.

식품안전사건사고에 따른 주부들의 식품 구매행동 변화 -2008년 멜라민 사건을 중심으로- (The Change of Housewives' Purchase Behaviors by Food Safety Incidents; in Relation to the Outbreak of 2008 Melamine Incident in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 식품안전 사건에 따른 소비자들의 구매행동 변화를 조사할 목적으로 2008년 발생한 멜라민사건을 예로 하여, 사건 전후의 주부들의 의식 및 행동 변화를 조사하기 위하여 2009년 3월 전라북도 군산지역에 거주하고 있는 주부 565명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 우리나라 식품안전 수준에 대해서 52.3%가 불만족스러워 하는 것으로 나타났으며, 멜라민 사건 발생 후 어느 정도의 시간이 경과하였지만 조사대상자의 74.6%는 여전히 멜라민을 독성이 높은 물질로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 멜라민 관련식품의 구매수준을 5점 척도에 의해, 사건 발생 전, 발생기간, 사건 종료 후(즉, 조사시점)의 수준을 분석한 결과, 각각 $2.47{\pm}0.97$, $1.80{\pm}0.92$, $1.62{\pm}0.92$(p<0.001)로, 사건발생 후 어느 정도의 시간이 경과하였음에도 구매수준은 더욱 낮아 진 것으로 나타났다. 독성 인식수준에 따른 구매수준에 변화에 있어서는 독성수준이 낮다고 인식하고 있는 사람은 관련제품 구매에 큰 변화가 없었으나, 높다고 인식하고 있는 사람은 구매수준에 있어 더 많은 감소를 나타냈다(p<0.05). 식품안전인식 수준에 따른 구매수준에 변화에 있어서도 국내 식품안전수준이 안전하다고 인식하고 있는 사람은 여전히 관련제품의 구매에 큰 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 결론적으로 식품안전 수준에 대한 사전인식과 해당 유해물질에 대한 정확한 정보가 사건발생후의 식품구매행동에 많은 영향을 미친다고 볼 수 있으며, 소비자와의 체계적이고 다각적인 방향으로의 위해정보교류의 필요성이 한층 커지고 있다고 볼 수 있다.

  • The Incoterms and United Nations Convention on Contract for the international Sales of Goods(CISG) allocate a risk in their articles. These rules make a decision that the parties who make a transaction are bound to bear the risk or damages of goods. Though a goods have a damages or loss during a transportation, buyer is liable for the payment of purchase price. In this case, this paper defines the meaning whether who can bear the risk under Incoterms and CISG. In the majority cases which deal between parties, after shipment or at the end of carriage, the loss or damages are found in buyer's hand. If a damages or loss is made during transit, customarily these risk are covered by insurance. Otherwise, these rules provide a tools for solving this problems. Then, between parties should be accomplished their target equitably.

패션소비자의 온라인 해외직구 행동의도에 관한 연구 (Fashion Consumers' Purchase Intention on Cross-border Online Shopping)

  • This study identified factors that influenced fashion consumers' purchase intentions for cross-border online shopping. This study utilized three outshopping motivation dimensions (utilitarian, social, and hedonic) to empirically verify research questions. The moderating effects of consumers' perceived risks between cross-border online shopping motivations and behavioral intention were also tested on Korean female consumers in their 20s to 40s who had experience purchasing fashion goods through a cross-border online shopping channel within a year. The research are as follows. First, the three motivations have positive effects on cross-border online shopping purchase intentions. Fashion consumers are greatly influenced by hedonic motivation compared to utilitarian and social motivations. Second, perceived risks do not negatively influence cross-border online shopping purchase intentions. Finally, there exists moderating effects of perceived risks between utilitarian motivation and cross-border online shopping purchase intentions. This study reveals motivational and moderating factors that influence fashion consumers to shop through a cross-border online shopping channel. It contributes to prior studies by extending the research range of cross-border online shopping into fashion. Marketers and retailers should note that fashion consumers are most influenced by hedonic motivation when shopping in cross-border online malls.
