  • Fe-C alloy layers were produced by pulse plating and the properties were compared with those produced by D.C. plating. When the pulse on time ($T_{on}$ ) was the same, both the duty cycle and peak current density($I_{p}$ ) had little influence on the carbon content and the hardness of the layer. The structure and hardness of the direct current plating were similar to those of the pulse current plating. However, the ductility was enhanced when the pulse current was applied due to the release of residual stress during the pulse off time($T_{off}$).).

Methods: First 20 Middle Aged women are diagnosed by pulse diagnosis, and then Mountain Cultivated Ginseng Pharmacopuncture(1 injection 20cc) were injected. 30 minutes later, pulse diagnosis again performed. As a result, method of one-group pretest-posttes design were used for evaluation. Results: T(Total pulse cycle) time statistically significant increased on both left and right chon, kwan, cheok. T4 time statistically significant increased on both left and right chon, kwan, cheok. T4-T1/T indexs except left cheokmaek, Right cheokmaek observation area decreased significantly in four sites. Wm(indicating high pressure retention time) indexs increased significantly in the five sites were observed except right chon maek. Conclusions: Effect of pulse-wave factors in Middle Aged Women by Mountain Cultivated Ginseng Pharmacopuncture increased T, T4, Wm and decreased T4-T1/T indexs. The results of this experiment, Mountain Cultivated Ginseng Pharmacopuncture induced to increase the Pulse-wave's stability and strength.

전해도금법을 이용한 nanotwin Cu의 형성방법으로는 pulse 파형을 사용하는데, pulse파형의 on time동안의 높은 전류밀도로 인해 발생한 도금층의 stress가 off time동안에 release되면서 nanotwin구조가 형성되는 것으로 보고되고 있다. Nanotwin형성 조건으로 보고된 pulse 도금 조건은 수에서 수십밀리초의 on time에 duty cycle($t_{on}/(t_{off}+t_{on})$)이 1/100~1/10 수준이다.

  • This study has been performed to investigate MRR(metal removal rate) surface roughness with various pulse-on duration using the copper and graphite electrode according to the electrode size on the heat treated STD 11 which is extensively used for metallic molding steel in the EDM. The results obtained are as follow ;a)MRR increases a lot when pulse-on duration is 100 $\mu{s}$ or less but MRR has little difference with pulse-on duration of 100 $\mu{s}$ or more b) According to the increase of Pulse-on duration the large the electrode size the more MRR c) Safe discharge is needed to make maximum of MRR and the metallic organization must be complicated for discharge induction. d) Actual machining time is longer than theoretical machining time at the short pulse-on duration because of skin effect of current. e) Graphite electrode needs the larger electric discharge energy than copper electrode to remove remained chips completely.

  • We investigate the effect of rise time of a pulse bias voltage on atmospheric plasma generation. With the faster rise time of the pulse bias, the glow discharge appears to be more uniformly generated along the electrodes. I-V measurement confirms that higher loading power can be obtained using the faster rise time. A new understanding for atmospheric plasma generation at a micro-gap electrode is suggested.

  • Detailed pulse shape analysis of a Geiger-$M{\ddot{u}}ller$ counter is performed to understand the pulse shape dependence on operating voltage. New data is presented to demonstrate that not all pulses generated in a GM counter are identical. In fact, there is a strong correlation between the operating voltage and the pulse shape. Similar to detector deadtime, pulse shapes fall in three distinct regions. For low voltage region, where deadtime was reported to reduce with increasing voltage, pulse generated in this region was observed to have a fixed pulse width with a variable tail. The pulse width and fall time of the tail was observed to be a function of applied voltage; exponentially reducing with increasing voltage with an exponent of negative 6E-04 and 2E-03 respectively. The second region showed a pulse without any significant tail. During this time the detector deadtime was earlier reported to be at its minimum. The highest voltage region demonstrated a different deadtime mechanism where the second pulse was reduced in width. During this time the deadtime seemed to be increasing with increasing voltage. This data allows us to gain some unique insight into the phenomenon of GM detector deadtime not reported thus far.

  • Subject : The Imminent Labor Pulse(臨産 離經脈, extra-meridian pulse approaching labor) is one of many practical clinical knowledges, unique to Traditional Korean(Eastern) Medicine. Objective : This research explores the origin and change of perception on the subject throughout history, with objective to sort out practical knowledge applicable in the clinic of today. Also, it draws clinical meaning of pulse diagnosis according to the physiological theories, and suggests directions for future clinical researches. Method : First, the Imminent Labor Pulse was examined based on major publications such as the "Nanjing", "Maijing" and theories of major doctors. Second, this previous study was examined through clinical observation research. Third, further research was carried out on pulse theory according to the Traditional Medical theories. Fourth, their clinical practicality and points of further research were sorted out. These points need to be examined through additional clinical research. Conclusion : The following conclusions could be drawn from study of the Imminent Labor Pulse. From the Imminent Labor Pulse which indicated the beginning of the first period of labor in the "Maijing", it developed into trying to grasp the beginning of the second period of labor which is the actual time of labor, through "Zhubingyuanhoulun" and "Shizaizhifang". By Xueji, another pulse that could be felt on the middle finger of the mother had been discovered. The middle finger is where the Pericardium Meridian flows. The child's connection to the uterus becomes disconnected on the first period, but that with the Pericardium meridian which provides blood meridian to the Taichongmai of the child continues throughout labor until the umbilicus chord is cut. Therefore, this middle finger pulse could serve as showing the heart condition of the mother and child during labor. The time of its appearance and disappearance, and their correlation with the child's heartbeat need to be clinically examined.

  • Because Block Pulse functions are used in a variety of fields such as the analysis and controller design of systems, it is necessary to find the more exact value of the Block Pulse series coefficients. This paper presents a method for the state estimation of the time-invariant linear systems via the improved estimation method for the Block Pulse coefficients by using the Simpson's rule. The proposed method using the Simpson's rule improve the accuracy of the Block Pulse coefficients.
