유비쿼터스 환경에서의 공공도서관 공간설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Space Design of a Public Library in Ubiquitous Life)

  • 유비쿼터스 사회의 도래와 함께, 공공도서관에 대한 이용자 요구의 변화는 정보제공기관, 문화서비스기관 및 교육기관으로써 역할과 기능을 수행의 필요성이 대두되었다. 유비쿼터스 환경에서 다목적 기능을 수행하는 공공도서관은 물리적 공간과 디지털 공간을 기반으로 서비스가 제공된다. 공간적 기반에 있어서 정보공유공간(information commons)은 유비쿼터스 도서관의 물리적인 공간 기반이라 할 수 있다. 특히, 유비쿼터스 환경의 도래와 함께, 물리적 공간의 효과적인 설계 및 활용은 멀티복합공간으로서 공공도서관의 기능과 역할수행에 있어서 매우 중요한 요소라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공공도서관에서의 물리적 공간으로써 정보공유공간의 설계와 구축을 위한 설계 및 시설요소에 대하여 알아보았다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 문헌조사, 사례 및 설문조사를 통하여 공공도서관의 정보공유공간에 대한 흐름과 요구사항을 도출하였으며 이를 통하여 유비쿼터스 환경에서 공공도서관의 물리적 공간으로써 정보공유공간의 구축을 위한 시설요소 및 설계원칙을 제안하였다.

Framework Design of Pervasive Computing System for Inter Space Interactions between Private and Public Smart Spaces

  • In this paper, design of framework architecture of pervasive computing system providing seamless inter space interactions between private and public smart spaces is presented. The seamless inter space interaction issues are related to establishing user's service environment by allocating relevant resources in a new location where there are no prior settings for the user or where there are current users already being served in the new location. In the realm of pervasive computing, we can have different types of smart spaces, offering proactive and intelligent services, which are islands of smart spaces independent from each other. As users move about, they will have to roam from private smart space to public smart space and vice versa. When they enter a new island of smart space, they will have to setup their devices and service manually to get the same or different services they had at the previous location. Users might be living in a non-pervasive computing environment because this manual operation is inappropriate to its generic features of proactive and intelligent services of pervasive computing. The framework architecture will provide seamless inter space interactions initiated by changes in users' location to acquire negotiations of resources for new and current residents regarding service provision with limited available networked devices.

  • We propose a method using QFD for design the hierarchical structure of AHP. This method provides definition for each area of House of Quality and design the hierarchical structure of the bottom-up QFD/AHP in which the upper hierarchy is designed through the classification of common characteristics with a focus on the lower hierarchy. Finally, we apply it to the development of an evaluation index for selecting heavy lifting service providers. This study has significance as the first instance of designing the archical structure of AHP after objectively verifying whether MECE condition, the basic requirement for AHP design, is satisfied.

가정과 교육에서 서비스 러닝 활성화를 위한 주생활 영역 교과목 활동 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Housing and Interior Design Courses Work for the Promotion of Service-Learning in Home Economics Education)

  • This study develops and applies a service learning course that integrates university curriculum with the local community in housing and interior design. The results of the study are as follows. First, the service learning course of the housing and interior design was developed as a six-week lecture based on the project model with the theme of housing for the socially disadvantaged. Second, this course was implemented with faculty, students, interior designers, and service recipients to engage in activities to improve the educational environment of local child centers. Next, students engaged in the service learning course and continuously conducted reflection activities to enhance the effectiveness of learning. In reflection activities, students assessed that self-directed capabilities increased as has employing the coordination and applicability to meet identified community needs. Finally, faculty, students, and experts (including institutional experts and supervising departments) evaluated course practice and educational outcomes. Experts assessed that the course clarified course objectives, utilized various learning strategies, and showed that the structural reflection mode of learners and professors was overwhelmingly positive. The results indicated that service-learning courses enable students to integrate academic study with social work to better understand course content through direct engagements in experience learning. Furthermore, students are empowered by participation in public services that benefit service clients and consultants as students take more personal responsibility for learning.

Whole Life Performance Bid Evaluation in the Korean Public Sector

  • Over the last several years, Korea has increasingly adopted design-build for public construction projects. There is a much greater awareness of the need to change to a system based on 'Value for Money', which is high on the government's agenda. A whole life performance bid evaluation model is proposed to aid decision makers in the selection of a design-builder. This is based on the integration of a framework using an analytic hierarchy process, as the bid awarding system is being changed from one based on the lowest price to one based on best value over the life-cycle. Key criteria such as whole life cost, service life planning and design quality are important through the key stages of the evaluation process. The model uses a systematic and holistic approach, which enables the public sector client to make better decisions in design-builder selection, which will deliver whole life benefits based on long-term cost-effectiveness.

미국 공공주택의 진화: 초이스 네이버후드 계획의 생활지원서비스를 중심으로 (The Evolution of Public Housing in the United States: Focusing on Social Services in Choice Neighborhood Initiatives)

  • The purpose of this study is to introduce the design and early implementation results of Choice Neighborhoods(Choice) initiative, which is the most recent version of public housing policies in the United States designed and implemented under the Obama administration. The Choice initiative aims to support a wide range of strategies locally driven to address problems in disadvantaged neighborhoods with an emphasis on a comprehensive approach to transforming those neighborhoods. In this study, first, I briefly review the history of public housing policies since 1937, particularly focusing on limitations of HOPE VI(Housing Opportunity for People Everywhere) projects to understand the context behind the advent of the program. Second, I introduce the overall design of the Choice program and point out how this programs' design differs from previous public housing programs by reviewing the literature on federal guidelines for the Choice program. This study particularly focuses on introducing social services given to existing residents in public housing and their neighborhoods in redevelopment processes. These social services are intended to address poverty-related problems that public housing residents often confront, to help them break out of the cycle of poverty, and to minimize the negative impacts of relocation triggered by redevelopment. Third, to examine how this program has been implemented and has revealed limitations so far, I review an interim evaluation report based on five cities. This study ends with discussing policy implications for public housing providers and housing policy-makers in South Korea.

조경직 공무원의 직무특성 및 직무만족 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on Awareness of Job Characteristics and Job Satisfaction of Landscape Architect Public Officials in Korea)

  • 조경 체계의 중심이 되는 정부에서도 조경 조직의 직제 운영이 미흡하다. 지방정부의 경우, 조경직 공무원을 채용하고 있으나, 운영상에 있어서는 임업직으로 운영하는 등 관리운영의 문제점과 제도운영의 취약성이 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라 조경직 공무원 행정제도 분석과 조직문화 행태의 만족도를 분석하였다. 이에 조경직 공무원의 직무만족 향상을 위한 실천적인 자료를 제공하고, 조경의 위상을 제고하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 첫째, 현재 조경직 공무원의 조직 문화 행태와 직무의 적정성 그리고 타 직렬 공무원들과 어떤 차이가 있는지 설문조사를 실시했다. 설문조사 분석 결과, 조경직 공무원으로서 직무만족은 대체로 높으나, 집권화 즉, 상관의 지시 명령, 자율성 제한 등은 강한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조경직 공무원의 조직문화 행태 및 직무만족 향상을 위해 연구 분석을 실시하고 기존의 행정자치부(2006) 선행연구 자료와 차이를 비교분석하였다. 그 결과, 조경직 공무원이면서 임업관련 직무를 많이 하고 있는 그룹이 상대적으로 조직몰입 만족도가 낮은 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 조경직 공무원의 조경 전문성 확보가 필요한 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, '조경직 직무환경', '조경직 법적 제도' 그리고 '조경직 직무분장'에 미치는 영향을 종합적으로 분석하였다. 조경직 공무원으로서 갖는 의의를 직무에 부여하여, 가치체계는 높은 만족도를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 조경직 직제의 독립성 부족, 조경직 법적 제도의 위기성, 낮은 채용 등 조경직제와 관련된 만족도는 낮게 분석되었다. 넷째, 현재 조경직 공무원이 조경업무가 아닌 임업, 건축, 도시계획, 행정 등의 직무를 처리하고 있어, 전문성을 제대로 살리지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 통계학적 변수에 따라 조경직 공무원의 직무만족에 차이가 있는지를 분석하였다. 조경 직무에 전공자의 전문성을 확보해야 '조경직 법적 제도', '조경직 직무만족', '조경직 조직몰입도'가 높아진다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통하여 다음과 같은 향후 연구 과제를 제시할 수 있다. 첫째, 조경직 공무원의 직무분장 정체성 확립, 둘째, 조경직제에 의한 조직구성 확립 등으로 요약할 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 과제들이 행정적으로 수렴되고, 정책에 반영될 수 있도록 조경과 관련된 모든 이해관계자들의 실질적인 대응전략이 필요하다.

Effects of Ethical Management of Retail Enterprises in Korea on Corporate Image and Purchase Intention

  • Purpose - The study aims to investigate the effects of ethical management on corporate image and purchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology - The study employs monthly time series data from October 2013 to November 2013, analyzing variables to verify hypotheses. These concern three questions on marketing communication, five on public interest business activities, four on donation & sponsorship, two on donation & sponsorship activities, six on corporate image, four on volunteer service, and five on demographic characteristics. Results - Hypothesis 1, "Ethical management in marketing communication, public interest business, donation & sponsorship, and volunteer service positively affects corporate image," was partially adopted with significant regression of marketing communication, public interest business activity, and donation & sponsorship. Hypothesis 2, "Ethical management such as marketing communication, public interest business, donation & sponsorship, and volunteer service positively affects purchase intention," was partially adopted with significant regression of marketing communication and public interest business. Hypothesis 3, "Corporate image positively affects purchase intention," was adopted at significant regression. Conclusions - Ethical management influenced purchase intention and corporate image.

공공기관 고객만족지수(PCSI) 모형을 적용한 도서관 고객만족도 측정 (Measuring Library User Satisfaction using the Public-service Customer Satisfaction Index (PCSI))

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 공공기관 고객만족 조사에 보편적으로 활용되고 있는 "공공기관 고객만족지수(Public-service Customer Satisfaction Index, PCSI)모형"을 도서관에 적용하여 측정함으로써 고객만족 결과를 조직의 성과평가에 활용할 수 있는 기반을 마련하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국회도서관을 대상으로 하여 PCSI 기반의 고객만족도 조사 모형을 설계하고 국회도서관 이용자 341명으로부터 수집한 설문조사를 통해 모형을 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 국회도서관이 이용자에게 제공하는 각종 서비스의 품질은 고객만족의 원인이 되고, 고객만족은 또 조직성과에 직접적으로 영향을 미치고 있으며 서비스의 환경품질과 사회품질요인이 고객만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 파악되었다. 또한 선행요인모형, 만족모형, 성과모형 모든 영역에서 외부이용자가 내부이용자에 비해 높은 점수를 보였고 PCSI의 고객만족모형을 통해 산출된 고객만족 점수는 80.4로 나타났다. 본 연구는 고객만족을 통해 조직의 성과를 측정하는 이론적 체계를 확보하는 동시에, 이용자 관점에서 성과목표 달성 정도를 측정하는 성과관리 도구로 활용할 수 있다.

공공도서관 클러스터링을 위해 SAML 기반의 사용자통합인증 설계에 관한 연구 (A study of SSO design based SAML for public library clustering)

  • The user has to subscribe to the library so that user use the library service. User has to register at that in order to use of the nearby another library. Moreover, service such as the inter-library loan and returning my loan book to other library in which the mutual cooperation between the library is needed necessity. But it services due to the constraint condition because of the administrative or technical problems. In this paper excludes the administrative element. The web service model is forming the cluster based on the mutual cooperation between the technologically adjacent public library and provides the technologically necessary single sign-on (SSO) in order to support the additional service. The single sign-on of the library which is concluded by this model using the security information exchange standard (Security Assertion Markup Language : SAML), it is processed by XML base. In using this model, the loan information is confirmed in the attribution in return service library and the model can utilize for the return of loan book in other library. It designs the single sign-on about it.
