  • Financial supports of private facilities which were damaged by natural disaster are currently performed partially by a government and the guideline of corresponding recovery costs be the natural disaster prevention law in South Korea. However, current financial recovery guidelines for the damaged private facilities has not been estimated objectively so far. This research presents advanced recovery cost search and assesment methods for the damaged private facilities under natural disaster. To produce more accurate data, an investigation for practical field markets which are appointed in Kangwon area is conducted and the proposed recovery values per each item are compared to exact field market values. Finally. more realistic and accurate recovery cost guideline including evaluation and more effective market surveying method are suggested here. A theoretical and practical program for systematic recovery cost calculation is proposed and expected to be used at public institution before long.

Opposing to build the reuse facilities of wastes takes place because of concerning of health and hygiene, as well as matters of unclear policy making process. However, these facilities must be built in somewhere for the convenience and profit of the public. The NIMBY phenomenon against reuse facilities of wastes could be a burden for the city operation system, and it could worsen citizens' quality of life in the long run. In these lights, reuse and recycling facilities of wastes in East region are necessary facilities improving citizens' quality of life and enhancing the growth of cities in the region. However, there have been concerning of deforestation during the construction process of the facilities. • Objective : The objective of this study is to verify the characteristics of acupuncture methods of Joseon Dynasty by looking into the relationship between five viscera diagnosis and acupuncture methods. Material & Method : In the process, I've reviewed the relationship between meridian/exterior and viscera/bowels, along with a thorough comparison of the academic tendency in acupuncture of Ming-China, Qing-China and Joseon. Result & Conclusion : The two fields of meridian and exterior, and viscera and bowels had been theoretically merged, and based upon that, foundation methods applying the five viscera diagnosis were designed. Joseon acupuncture exceeded the existing concept of viscera which simply related itself to the exterior meridian and exterior by integrating the concepts from the visceral manifestation theory. With this, large proportions of medicine related to the visceral manifestation theory were invited into acupuncture, expanding therapeutic boundaries for acupuncture treatment. A historical review on medical texts starts from the Hyangyakjipseongbang("鄕藥集成方") which familiarized the public with mainstream acupuncture knowledge up until the Song dynasty, followed by Uibangyuchwi("醫方類聚"), which sparked up interest on the acupuncture methods based on viscera and bowels. Donguibogam("東醫寶鑑") organized the medical theories up until then, building a foundation upon which viscera/bowel-based acupuncture was able to develop further. In Chimgugyeongheombang("鍼灸經驗方"), viscera/bowel-based acupuncture methods started to blossom, integrating the meridian and exterior theory with the viscera manifestation theory, which in turn provided various methods through five viscera diagnosis. In the Saamdoin acupuncture method(舍岩道人鍼法), diagnostic criteria moved on to the five viscera diagnosis, and new methods resulting from the inter-complimentary and inter-prohibiting relationships between the five phases were introduced, opening a new world of acupuncture.

  • The increasing demands and utilization of the multi-purpose satellites have led to diverse research activities with regards to satellite image processing and applications. In the domestic development project for the Compact Advanced Satellite, it is a goal to develop the satellite with the domestic individual technique performing a various tasks such as the earth observation, the monitoring of the weather, climate and environment. In particular, the Compact Advanced Satellite is expect to be widely used in the agricultural sector, which account for a substantial part of public demand. This paper aims at establishing the way to utilize the satellite imagery in the domestic institution and the strategy for securing the specialized satellite payload in the agriculture sector. The technical element of satellite has a high value, so that it is hard to be transferred technology. For this reason, it is required to establish the domestic development planning. Furthermore, this paper can be utilized to identify and support the incoming Compact Advanced Satellite development plan utilizing satellite images capabilities specially in agricultural sector.

  • The purpose of this research was to understand how individuals reflect on the frequency and quantity of foods that they consume. Participants selected 5 males and 15 females aged 30 years or older were first interviewed on the frequency of their food consumption. Then based on this data, they were given a cognitive interview using the method of verbal proving. The individual cognitive interviews were recorded with consent while being conducted after complete approval by the Seoul National University Institution Review Board. The recorded material was evaluated using a thematic analysis after transcribing them into text. By analyzing stages of reflection, the major barriers to make the device difficult are revealed: 1) More difficulty in remembering events over the course of a full year due to diversification in the types of food that people consume 2) difficulty calculating the average for seasonal foods 3) difficulty estimating the amount of consumption from the photos presented 4) difficulty estimating amount of consumption from the quantity presented 5) difficulty processing foods that people think are healthy and foods are unhealthy simultaneously 6) difficulty having to consider foods where target food goes in as an ingredient; 7) difficulties arising from having to increase frequency when the amount consumed is higher than the quantity that is presented 8) difficulty having to combine the frequency and quantity of each food item when numerous foods are clustered into one category. These findings show that the less participants were involved in cooking, the more diverse their eating habits were, and the more they tried to adhere to rules of filling out the questionnaire, the more it was difficult for them to come up with an answer to the question being asked. It therefore seems necessary to construct a Food Frequency questionnaire that is attentive to these problems that arise from the recall stages.
