Purpose: In this study, we investigated the better application of the law which is about the AED installation and more effective ways of emergency medical care system, to understand the law and to research the current condition of public facilities which belong to local governments, and to seize the aspect of safety guards who currently work in order to provide the installation of AED in the public facilities and to provide more efficient emergency medical service with the effectuation of the immunity law of the good intention of first-aid treatment. Methods: In Gwang-ju, 234 public facilities have been identified by 31 December, 2008. With the exception of the duplication, we researched 158 facilities and received the answers from 95 of them. Results: In the research, 53% of them have had internal emergency first-aid education, and 55% of them didn't have this education and a CPR education manual, and 30% of the facilities even didn't know how to connect with the manager of the company for the first-aid department. On the other hand, most of them were highly interested in CPR and AED education on the ratio of 91% and 93%. 88% of them have been trained about first-aid, 51% of them haven't been retrained, 17% have never been trained. so, the reality of emergency system at public facilities is serious. 78% of them knew they are working at public facilities, though 49% of them didn't know about AED installation. 57% of them didn't know the fact there is the immunity law related with good intentions for first-aid treatment. 63% of the facilities have security guards, and 30% of them didn't answer the questions. Also, many of them agreed to the opinion that all employees should have first-aid training. At representative survey report of participator of public-facility, emergency treatment is 61%, 16% of patients calling. Accordingly they importantly think better doing an on-site first-aid than evacuating the patient. And the rates show that 57% of them answerers tend to call Fire-Office(119) for evacuating the patients, and 28% of them EMIC(1339) for the first-aid. Conclusions: In this study, we are suggest to improve the details of the efficient operations and management after the grasp of the uninstallation, indifference, and unreliable conditions of AED. 1) Need a publicity of AED install cognition which is an emergency medical instrument at public facilities. 2) Arrangement of safety agents at facilities and concerns about them for good management from the parties concerned. 3) Need a designation of legal details according to the decision of the AED installation and the standard of the AED installation. 4) Training about first-aid of safety guards and the persons concerned in the facilities should be practiced participation with the positive and through this, first-aid treatment could be done by anyone who knows the immunity law related to medical emergency. 5) The brochures for the potential users and the results form practicing the instructions need to be improved in many ways through recording the emergency cases that have happened.

This study purports to investigate the status quo of the aged and disabled-friendly system in public health centers through the questionnaire survey and field interview. Data were collected from a total of 101 public health centers. The survey results revealed that the aged and disabled-friendly system in public health centers were not sufficient for meeting the needs of the elderly and disabled people. Based upon the study results, the following suggestions can be made to establish the aged and the disabled-friendly system in public health centers. The results of the study will make a contribution to establishing a good system for the aged and the disabled persons. In detail, they will be able to provide useful information for evaluating the status quo of the aged and the disabled-friendly system in many institutions. In addition, The results could be used as a practical strategy for improving the quality of the facilities for the aged and the disabled. In conclusion, the strategy and evaluation tool developed in the study will provide a good guide for establishing the aged and the disabled-friendly system in any institutions.
The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of residents for purchased public housing in Seoul, using empirical panel data. The scope of the study will be targeted at the Seoul, as of 2017. The research method includes literature review, statistical analysis, and spatial analysis using QGIS software program. The data used in the research is the Panel Survey of Public Housing in Seoul(2017). The main results of the research are briefly summarized as follows; Firstly, Living in a housing with an increased area compared to the previous housing. Secondly, they can live for a long time with low rent. The burden on housing costs is 71.8% in the case of the deposit. Thirdly, there is little concern about social stigma. Purchased public housing was found to be good in terms of stigmatization due to low-income clusters. Lastly, the accessibility in the city center was good condition. In particular, commuting time was 34.79 minutes on a one-way basis, saving about 4 minutes compared to other types of public housing.
Background: It is getting important to improve the oral health status of the elderly because oral health status may affect their health status of the whole body. In this respect, we aimed to explore the association of oral health status and behavior factors with self-rated health status by sex. Methods: Using the data from the 7th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey for health surveys and oral examinations (2016-2018), we analyzed a total of 3,070 people aged 65 or older (men: 1,329; women: 1,741). Our dependent variable, self-rated health status, was divided into two groups: not good (bad and very bad) and good (very good, good, and fair), whereas our independent variables of interest were oral health status and behavior factors. In addition to descriptive analysis and the Rao-Scott chi-square test, reflecting survey characteristics, we conducted hierarchical multivariable logistic regression analyses adjusted for socio-demographics and health status and behavior factors. All analyses were stratified by sex. Results: The proportion of people having 'not good' self-rated health was 36.5% in women but 24.5% in men. In a model adjusted for all covariates, the self-rated health status showed significant association with the self-rated oral health status. For example, in men, the risk of having 'not good' self-rated health was high in people having 'poor' (odds ratio [OR], 5.31; 95% confidence interval [CI], 2.34-12.03) self-rated oral health status and in those having 'fair' (OR, 4.03; 95% CI, 1.68-9.70) in comparison with those having 'good' self-rated oral health status. Dental status regarding speaking difficulty seemed to be very important in influencing self-rated health status. For instance, in women, compared to people having 'no discomfort' speaking difficulty, the risk of having 'not good' self-rated health was high in people having 'not bad' (OR, 1.60; 95% CI, 1.14-2.24) and 'discomfort' (OR, 1.79; 95% CI, 1.30-2.47) speaking difficulty. The covariates significantly associated with the risk of having 'not good' self-rated health were: physical activity, chronic disease, stress, and body mass index in both sexes; health insurance type and drinking only in men; and economic activity only in women. Conclusion: Oral health status and behavioral factors were associated with self-rated health status among the elderly, differently by sex. This suggests that public health policies toward better health in the elderly should take their oral health status and oral health behaviors into account in a sex-specific way.

The development of an appropriate public service quality model has become increasingly recognised as an important subject of interest in the public sector as well as academia. In particular, the public systems enacted by governments are widely used and have a significant impact on national competitiveness. But few researches have been conducted to explore the quality dimensions of a public system service and empirically examine the relationship among related variables. Therefore, in this study, we strive to develop a quality measurement model of public system service that can be effectively used in practice. Using 601 samples gathered through a structured survey from project engineers, a conceptual quality model of public system is presented and discussed. Given the exploratory nature of this study, an exploratory factor analysis is used to investigate quality dimensions and partial least square (PLS) is employed in determining the structural relationships. From empirical results, we found that the quality dimensions of the public system had four distinct quality dimensions (design quality, environment quality, primary outcome quality, additive outcome quality). All four quality dimensions showed good representative factors in explaining user satisfaction. Perceived trust was proved to significantly mediate the relationship between quality dimensions and user satisfaction. Our research is expected to contribute to the literature by providing a good conceptual framework for assessing public system quality by linking four quality dimensions with user satisfaction. In particular, the developed model can elaborately measure process quality and multi-functional outcome quality of the system by the supplementation of design quality and additive outcome quality respectively. Practical implications are also suggested on the basis of our analysis.

The purpose of this paper is to organize the issues regarding the necessary components of public design in order to provide an outlook of policy guidelines on urban design based on the concept of publicity and user participation. This paper includes an in-depth analysis of CABE in order to suggest communal notions and the values of public design that would enhance the quality of public design. Thus, it can be used as a reference when catalyzing public design regulations and policies in the future. It analyzes the design review and supportive tools for good decision-making of suggested in the CABE case in order to provide an integrated model of public design to overcome the difficulties presented by current approaches of public design. The unity of values, methods, subjects, issues, and places suggested in this paper is the key notion that emphasizes the importance of the integrated model of public design through the cooperation and communication between gents involved in public design process.

The 'Good School Uniform' development project was conducted in consultation with Gyeonggi-do and the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education. The aim is to find various ways to supply school uniforms reflecting the latest trends at low prices using high-quality textile materials produced in Gyeonggi-do. From 2015, when the 'Good School Uniform' development project started, to the present, various events and fairs are making great progress. However, there are several problems in actually wearing each middle and high school student. In order to satisfy the characteristics of each school and the satisfaction of parents and students together, it is necessary to not only conduct practical research such as closer customer satisfaction surveys, industry-academia-research networks, expert interviews, and surveys, but also several supplements such as consultations between practitioners. There are many domestic studies on the development of school uniform design, but the research on the revitalization plan according to the free school uniform support is very insufficient. Moreover, it is not easy to find recent studies on the development of 'Good School Uniforms'. This study intends to study how to build a system so that the Gyeonggi-do 'Good School Uniform' development project can be used as a role model. In addition, it is expected that this study will be used as basic data for building a nationwide system such as public brand development and collaboration with small domestic companies.
Objectives: This study analyzed the effects of diabetes interventions published in journals of nursing, medical and public health, to suggest directions for future research. Methods: A comprehensive search of three databases was undertaken (Korean studies, Riss4U, RICHIS) using research terms such as "diabetes", "nursing", "public health", "intervention" and "program". One hundred fifty four original articles were retrieved and 21 articles were finally analyzed. The analyzed articles satisfied the inclusion criteria and their effect size was calculated. Results: Most studies about diabetes intervention were published form 2001. 2005 (57.1%). The psycho-social variables, 'self-efficacy' and 'self-care' presented good effects on exercise or exercise prescription intervention. In addition, the physiological variables, 'fasting blood sugar' and 'glycosylated glucose' presented good effects on the interventions using four more elements or the interventions held in a public health center. Conclusion: Further research should consider the essential elements that benefit diabetes patients' behaviors or physiological indicators.

This thesis analyzed the uniqueness of a toilet plane structure, centering on a case of Beautiful Public Toilet Construction Project under a project by Chungcheongnam-do and drew a conclusion as followings. Most of public toilets, constructed under a project by Chungcheongnam-do, were located in remains, tourist resorts, parks, and the outskirts of traditional markets. They were constructed at the selected location within an easy access of most user and plane structure was also designed so that the persons, in charge of management and maintenance, and the users could use them without difficulty. But some public toilets didn't establish the handicaps' toilet or made them difficult to sue due to location or size. The plane structure style was various such as a rectangular, stream line, or circle in accordance with location or building size. A circle-styled toilet offered a good view but didn't offer a good access or an effective space for users. In addition, when a handicapped person enters a toilet, he or she has to enter or go out of it through a sliding dor. So a constructor has to make progress of a work in accordance with this point.
Ethics suggest that all persons are by nature moral, as it would not be possible for humans to exist collectively or even individually without an innate ethical sense. In order for the public sector to thrive in business, the board of directors needs to be guided by ethics and take into account the abiding interests of humanity and public good. It is argued in this paper that the abuse of power in the public sector has often been associated with unethical leadership and conducts which undermines the ubuntu notion. The irregularities which often arise in the awarding of tenders in the state-owned companies are some of the challenges that are prone to the public sector. In order to address these challenges and promote a flourishing democracy it is argued that ethical leadership as envisaged in the King III Report needs to be adhered to by the boards of directors. This paper concludes that the direction and control of ethics in any organisation is vital especially where the line between corporate governance and ethical leadership has become blurred.
