This study was to examine the physical environment of public golf course for golf popularization. More specifically, this study was try to analyze the effects of physical environment on customer emotional response, golf course's image and recommendation intention of public golf course. This study were analyzed by frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows. First, among the physical environmental variables of public golf course, facilities' convenience, cleanliness, and aesthetics had positive effects on customers' positive emotion. Second, among the physical environmental variables of public golf course, facilities' cleanliness had effects on customers' negative emotion. Third, physical environment of public golf course had positive effects on golf course's image. Fourth, physical environment of public golf course had positive effects on recommendation intention.

Golf has emerged as one of the key leisure activities in Korea. This study examines the characteristics of golf consumption typology. A total of 256 questionnaires were collected from membership and public golf courses in the Incheon and Gyeonggi district. This study explores user satisfaction with and service at the golf course. The results of this research show that there are primary factors in user satisfaction regarding course facility, scores and operational services. Detail responses regarding these golf courses prove that the whole of the golf course, satisfaction with the course layout, landscaping and user gratification with the golf facilities are influenced by contentment with the management of the golf course. Satisfaction with scores were correlated with user contentment with the golf course. Detailed factors regarding operational services cited such aspects as ease of reservations, staff and tee time, all factors related to the smooth arrangements and progress that are influenced by operational services. This research was more concerned with course design and facility operations than marketing operations, which can satisfy users through investment in variety and expansion of the course facilities. Satisfaction in these areas is correlated to revisits and recommendations to others. The types of membership and public golf courses face difficulty in development, operation, and facilities maintenance, among other features. This paper will help separate out each quality in order to formulate difference stratagems for marketing and operation tactics in the future.

This study is purposed to a ripple effects of development of a golf course in rural area analyzed to site suitability, social impact of public opinions, and economical impact. And for study, it is setting up development model of gamaksan golf course in geochang-gun will be constructed. It is carried out those as follows;(1) it is, first of all, examined site suitability considering act and site factors, opinion of residence's, and development planning of geochang-gun;(2) it is, secondly, suggested to analyzed social-economic impacts in rual area;(3) it is, finally, established an alternative proposal for development of a golf course considering it's merits and faults. The result of study, A appropriateness of development planning in golf course is focused to 'regional planning integrated', 'educational program for It's', and 'development council committee' considering harmony of a specialist, residents, government employee, businessman for a identity of interests.

Nowadays, there are increasing demands of golf courses and it is necessary to make more golf courses than the present. To do this, we need to improve the environmental problems with the regional inhabitants, and it is said that the first thing to be considered in developing any golf course in Korea is to preserve the environment. In this context, the purpose of this study is to set forth several design factors to lessen the negative impacts which are accompanied with the development of golf courses. 1. The present conditions of golf courses in Korea Many new golf courses have come into being, particularly since the late 1980s, and now, in the year of 1997, over one hundred of golf courses are doing their business, yet the number of golf course is still less than required. So far, over a half of them have been made in the vicinity of Seoul on account of various reasons, and this has adversely affected on our natural environment. This unreasonable development of golf courses has caused serious water pollution, landslides and the other problems. Also, the topography of Korea is not good for golf courses. Although the demands of golf courses are increasing, the suitable sites for them are very limited, and therefore it is sometimes unavoidable to make golf courses on steep hills. Purpose: This study was to examine public access defibrillator (PAD) deployment on some golf courses and to analyze automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) demand by appropriate distance. Research design, data, and methodology: We conducted telephone interview on 124 golf courses in Gyeonggi and Gangwon province in South Korea. The area within 3 minutes by 3 minutes for retrieval and 1 minute for shock and 1.5 minutes by the American Heart Association (AHA)recommendation for community AED placement were calculated as 3.14×162㎡ and 3.14×100㎡. Results: The average area was 1,811,481.8㎡, and 29 (42.7%) in below 999,999㎡, 75 (60.5%) in 1,000,000 to 1,999,999㎡, 12 (9.7%) in 2,000,000 to 2,999,999㎡ took up. The average retrieval time was 161.8 seconds, and 5 (4.1%) in below 90 seconds, 10 (8.0%) in 91 to 180 seconds took up a small part. AED demands according to 3 and 1.5 retrieval minutes were 2,602 and 6,986 respectively. Average AED demands per golf course were 21.0 and 56.3 respectively on 124 golf courses. Conclusions: The numbers of AED needed in South Korean golf course were 5,880 to 15,764. To ensure defibrillation on the golf courses, the supply and distribution of AEDs should be strengthened.

The purpose of this case study is to analyze the environmental and sociological impacts on a golf course construction at the damaged area of a previous limestone mine. Due to a long term of the open-pit mining, that site had been abandoned with geographical and ecological destruction before it was renovated to Ostar Danyang public golf course. This study is focused on the review of restoring the ecosystem through golf course construction procedures. Literature surveys of restoration through golf course construction in Japan and Canada were analyzed the procedure of utilization of previously existed lime mine. The sociological and environmental changes before and after construction were compared and analyzed. Environmental impacts on geographical, animal and plant ecology, and water quality were not affected or significantly improved after golf course construction from the mining site existed before. The local economy was also improved by increasing employment of resident and tax payment to local government. The construction of golf course could be one of the typical alternatives of ecological restoration of abandoned lime mine. Moreover in this project, minimizing the environmental impacts on surrounding ecosystem was emphasized by a larger size of developing construction. The harmonious lay-out on nature and artificial landscape were also considered a very first stage of construction procedure.

The golf industry has become the center of attention for recreational activities in the participant sport market; however, there has been little effort made to understand golf consumer and their consumption behavior using the concept of 'recreational specialization' which segments the golfers based on level of specialization in golf. The purpose of this study was to explore the differences in the relationships among perceived service quality, price of playing golf, overall customer satisfaction with the course, and a player's intention to revisit the same golf course based on the magnitude of recreation specialization in golf. Four public and two private golf courses from the southeastern state of the United States were randomly chosen from a list in a golf magazine. The 365 surveys among 417 participants were ultimately analyzed. Multiple group analysis was conducted in order to investigate differences in relationships among service quality, price, customer satisfaction, and revisit intentions between groups based on the level of recreation specialization. The key findings were 1) for more specialized golfers, satisfaction with price did not affect overall customer satisfaction or revisit intention, however, service quality significantly influenced both overall customer satisfaction and revisit intention, 2) for less specialized golfers, satisfaction with price significantly influenced overall customer satisfaction but did not affect revisit intention. Knowledge about which the determinants of satisfaction are different between more and less specialized golfers could provide a better understanding of how different marketing strategies should be implemented for different specialized levels of golfers.

The research regarding the important attribute which gives an effect to golf club membership purchase. 1990's as the golf boom as percentage shows the rapid increase of the golf course visitor and it grows, from 2001 are passing over ten million people golf course visitors. When purchasing golf club membership, it is important from the research which it sees the attributes which it thinks probably are what, it grasped and the scope of research did Seoul and the metropolitan area golf user in the object and it executed an empirical.analysis. In order to raise the reality and a reliability of research also it executed the collection and a Question investigation and a empirical analysis of various statistical data. The result of research a frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, factor analysis, multiple regression analysis and a correspondence analysis used the SPSS/PC+ 10.0 which and is a statistics package program. The results show that four dimensions of image were derived from 14 important attributes, using a factor analysis. A correspondence analysis indicates that statistically significant relationships existed between some of Golf club membership factors with respect to the demographic variables of income and Golf frequency. A multiple regression analyses also indicate that most of Golf club membership factors had great impacts on visitors' recommend.

Recently, with the popularization of smartphones, augmented reality has become even more familiar to the public as an application that can provide realistic images as a tool for location-based services. Therefore, as a location-based application for smartphones that is appropriate for the application of augmented reality technology, the study develops a golf information system. Golf is the sport for which we should exactly know the accurate shape or distance to the destinations or obstacles, so the sport is suitable for applying the augmented reality technology. Even though the sport of golf has constantly increasing population to play it with the popularization of it, presently released golf-related smartphone apps are established as 2D images or in GPS basis; thus, they lack a sense of realism unfortunately. Thereupon, this study develops a golf information system by modifying and complementing usefully Mixare, the open source for augmented reality, for the sport of golf into an augmented reality-based system that can provide various information according to the actual environment of the golf course and describes how to apply it actually to the golf course.

In recent years, the construction of golf course has been increasing very rapidIy and serious concern is paid to its environmental consequences both in Korea and in Japan. EIA systems as a major requirements for golf course developments emerged to reduce the adverse impact of their developments in Korea as well as in Japan. This study aims to compare EIA systems, procedures and methodologies employed between Korea and Japan in order to demonstrate the success and failure of EIAs in each country. The results of this study can be summarized as follows : 1) EIAs are systematically undertaken based upon law in Korea but on regulation in Japan. 2) Public participation Isn't encouraged in the Korean EIA procedure while the Japan EIA system involves public participation. 3) Korean EISs shall be prepared after the proposed projects are approved according to the related laws and be followed by the necessary procedures, but in the carte of Japan, EISs be prepared prior to their approval . 4) ELSs shall be prepared by agencies with special expertise with respect to 7he environmental impacts (appointed by government) or the sponsoring agencies themselves in Korea whereas they be prepared by agencies proposing the projects in japan. 5) EISs both in Korea and in Japan are characterized by cliches which may be unfamiliar to reviews and the public. 6) EIAs describe the existing presence and predict and evaluate that a development work influences the present conditions. Here Japan EIA treats mainly natural - and life environment, whereas Korean EIA dose social - and economic environment. And hence in the case of Japan is undertaken more quantitative and scientific analysis, whereas in the case of Korea is less. It is suggested that the key point to impact analysis is to use the correct concepts, fomulate the comparative studies of methodologies and find the methods that suit the decision as well as which country's own circumstances.
