This study covered the Korean consumers' Luxury Purchase Motivation and benefit factors associated with the consumption behavior. Causal structural relationships between these variables were examined. Examined for the preceding literature on the basis of an analysis of the factor structure of Korean luxury purchase motivation factors and use benefits for Luxury of purchasing to help any relationship whether these factors were confirmed. Firstly, the results confirm the relevance luxury purchase motivations and benefits among the factors, materialistic motives, the economic benefits and practical benefits factors had a positive impact. Personal benefits and social benefits, and cost-benefit factors had a positive impact on the psychological motives. Secondly, the luxury of buying does not have a significant effect on the material motives. The other hand, had a positive effect on psychological motives. Third, the benefits of relevant factors on the purchase of luxury used. Personal factors, economic and practical benefits, they did not have a significant impact. Social benefit factors had a negative impact. Finally mediated side effects among these factors was confirmed. Only psychological motives mediating effects on factors of social benefits through the purchase of crazy. The results of this study to describe the consumer luxury purchasing behavior on buying behavior, as well as a simple linear relationship between the factors for the benefits to be gained by using luxury purchase motivation indirectly explained the process for luxury marketers in the future, and psychological characteristics offered to consider the implications.
This research explores a value chain structure of VR-AR media including user's perception, uses, and evaluation. The purpose of this research focused on factor analysis and the relationship among user's VR-AR adoption motivations and utilities. This research explores correlation between personal value and using motivation. This study was to identify the value structure of respondent on VR-AR usages based on means-end chain theory. The research used structured APT laddering questions and 251 data was analysed. Through such analysis, category difference by stage and relationship difference were identified and hierarchical value map was compared. There are four different value ladders: first is attributes, functional consequences, psychological consequences, and final value. This study is based on the analysis of the value chain structure factors that affect VR and AR use behavior (attributes, functional benefits, psychological benefits, use value), 'Hierarchical Value Map' between users' The purpose of the model is to construct a model. For this, 'means-end chain theory' was applied to measure the causal relationship between personal value and VR related use behavior. In order to solve this research problem, 135 people were analyzed through the structured questionnaire using the AR and VR content fitness measure and the second APT laddering, and the use of VR-AR : 1) Functional benefits; 2) Psychological benefits; 3) Means to reach value, 4) Objective value chain structure was identified. The results show that VR users tried to smooth the social life through the new virtual reality audiovisual element, the newness of experience, fun, and pleasure through the departure of reality, vividness of experience, and leading fashion. The AR fitness was a game and a new program, and the value of interacting with other people and the value of 'periwinkle' played an important role through the vividness and peripheral interaction of AR, It was an important choice. The important basic values of users' VR and AR selection were correlated with psychological attributes of interaction with others, achievement, happiness and favorable values.
Purpose: This study was designed to explore adolescents' experience with yoga class in South Korea. Methods: Qualitative data were collected by focus group interviews from February to March 2014. Eleven adolescents who experienced yoga class were recruited from two different schools. The interview questions investigated adolescents' experience with yoga regarding expectations before yoga class, positive changes after yoga, and advice for future yoga classes. Results: Three primary themes from the qualitative content analysis include 1) motivation to join a yoga class, 2) perceived benefits after class and 3) suggestions for school-based yoga. We found that high school students had intrinsic and extrinsic motivations to join yoga classes, and the perceived benefits included physical, psychological, cognitive and social aspects. The students also indicated the need for support by person, yoga with fun and information, yoga tailored by individual goal, simple and easy class. Conclusion: These results suggest that yoga could be an appropriate intervention for holistic health care, and school-based yoga should be applied by focusing on the various situational needs of adolescents'. Furthermore, when yoga leads to healthy habits compared to just simple exercise, a balanced development of adolescents can be achieved.

In mobile opportunistic networks (MONs), human-carried mobile devices such as PDAs and smartphones, with the capability of short range wireless communications, could form various intermittent contacts due to the mobility of humans, and then could use the contact opportunity to communicate with each other. The dynamic changes of the network topology are closely related to the human mobility patterns. In this paper, we propose a social motivation-aware mobility model for MONs, which explains the basic laws of human mobility from the psychological point of view. We analyze and model social motivations of human mobility mainly in terms of expectancy value theory and affiliation motivation. Furthermore, we introduce a new concept of geographic functional cells, which not only incorporates the influence of geographical constraints on human mobility but also simplifies the complicated configuration of simulation areas. Lastly, we validate our model by simulating three real scenarios and comparing it with reality traces and other synthetic traces. The simulation results show that our model has a better match in the performance evaluation when applying social-based forwarding protocols like BUBBULE.
In order to investigate psychological and behavioral characteristics of homosexuals and to present evidence that homosexuals are in danger of HIV infection in Korea, this study was done by self-administered questionnaire and then direct interview with the 28 (35%) HIV infected homosexual/bisexuals of 79 HIV infected persons reported in 1992. Homosexuals without heterosexual activity were 9 and the others were bisexuals. Sixty-five percent of respondents had a guilty conscience for their homosexual activty. Twenty (71%) were in twenties and 5 (18%) in thirties. Twelve(43%) were detected via health card checking by health office, 21% by blood donation, 18% by hospital visit, and 7% by partner notification. Motivations for homosexual activity were curiosity (36%), temptation or recommendation (14%) and compulsion (11%). Eighteen (72%) never used condom on anal sex. Nine of 26 respondents had experience for anal sex with foreigners. Fourteen (54%) of 26 respondents had history for sexually transmitted diseases. Fighty percent did not have sexual contact after HIV infection and the others usually used condom. It was confirmed that over 57% of the respondents were infected within 1 year before HIV diagnosis and over 82% within 2 years. These data suggest that HTV infection among homosexual group is rapidly spreading.
This study analyzed the buying patterns of American and Korean female college students in terms of criteria for clothing selection; store preferences; criteria for store selection; fashion information sources; expressions of customer dissatisfaction; purchasing frequency and motivations for purchasing clothes. The study was implemented through self-administered questionnaires which were back translated for validity. The samples consisted of 730 female college students majoring in the fields related to clothing and textiles: 310 U.S. and 412 Korean students. Likert scales were used for most measures with 1=never or very unimportant and 5=always or very important. Data were analyzed by factor analysis, analysis of covariance, Duncans multiple comparison, and t-test. Results are as follows: 1) Design factor was the most important criteria in clothing selection with no differences between country groups. There were, however, significant differences for psychological exhibition factors, practical and economic factors. 2) Both groups preferred specialty and department stores, with department stores more popular in Korea. 3) Merchandise was the most important store selection criterion and fashion magazines and self-experience were rated as the most important information sources for the both groups. 4) Korean group expressed their dissatisfaction with and observable problem with a product before purchase more often than U.S. group, but the U.S. group was more vocal about color loss or shrinkage after care procedures. 5) Some clear differences between the two countries emerged. Marketers targeting American consumers should pay more attention to practicality and service; to Korean consumers more symbolic meaning of products.
Key factors enhancing transfer behavior of training and knowledge sharing are of great interest to researchers and executives because training transfer and knowledge sharing activities are remarkable predictors of organizational growth. This study investigates the core motivations for boosting transfer behavior of training and knowledge sharing. To empirically test the impacts of employee training, servant leadership and self-efficacy, a survey was conducted in small-medium sized companies. The data (N=292) were analyzed using structural equation modeling analysis. The results indicate that higher employee training positively leads to self-efficacy and transfer behavior of training. Servant leadership is positively leads to self-efficacy, transfer behavior of training, and knowledge sharing. Self-efficacy of employees induces greater transfer behavior of training and knowledge sharing. Finally, transfer behavior of training encourages workers to increase knowledge sharing. This study represents an initial step to examine the psychological mechanism of improving employees' transfer behavior of training and knowledge sharing activities based on the employee training qualities and servant leaderships.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to develop and measure the effect of a movie-based-nursing intervention program designed to enhance motivation for rehabilitation and reduce depression levels in stroke patients. Methods: The study used a quasi-experimental, nonequivalent control group and a pretest-posttest design. The 60 research subjects were assigned to the experimental (n=30) or control group (n=30). The movie-based nursing intervention program was provided for the experimental group during 60-minute sessions held once per week for 10 weeks. The program consisted of patient education to strengthen motivation for rehabilitation and reduce depression, watching movies to identify role models, and group discussion to facilitate therapeutic interaction. Results: After 10 weeks of participation in the movie-based nursing intervention program, the experimental group's rehabilitation motivation score was significantly higher, F=1161.54 (within groups df=49, between groups df=1), p<.001, relative to that observed in the control group. In addition, the experimental group's depression score was significantly lower relative to that observed in the control group, F=258.97 (within groups df=49, between groups df=1), p<.001. Conclusion: The movie-based nursing intervention program could be used for stroke patients experiencing psychological difficulties including reduced motivation for rehabilitation and increased depression during the rehabilitation process.
The purpose of this study was to collect baseline data for women's needs for social education, in order to eventually contribute to improving the quality of women's social education. In the needs survey, information on the motive to participate in social education programs, obstacles to participation, and program preferences was collected. The data were then analyzed by women's socio-demographic characteristics. Survey participants were married women between the ages of twenty to fifty, who were sampled from Seoul, six metropolitan areas, and nine provinces. For the final analysis, 1,026 survey forms were used. The motive for participating in women's social education programs was examined by each category. Overall, the participants showed the highest level in educational achievement motif. The motivations for lifestyle change, self-realization, and social accomplishment were also high and at a similar level. As for obstacles to participation, social obstacle received the highest rate, followed by family obstacle and personal reasons. As for the type of social education programs, home management programs were the most preferred, followed by psychological education, family education, leisure activity programs, physical education, and social education programs.
Purpose: Considering the COVID-19 pandemic and the increasing number of online food delivery applications (OFDA), this study aims to assess the distribution of the presence of Indonesian OFDA and to measure the factors that influence the spending habits of OFDA users. Research design, data and methodology: Two hundred and nine OFDA users from Jakarta's Generation Z were surveyed via a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling and SMART PLS 3.0. Results: OFDAs were introduced into Indonesia in the recent past with varying degrees of popularity determined by the number of downloads. Users' intention to use was not determined by the speed of the introduction of an OFDA. This study also reveals that previous experience of the service, the orientation of time and price savings had a significant effect on spending habits. A moderating role of the saving variable on time and price was not demonstrated. Conclusions: The results of the study suggest that, in COVID-19 pandemic conditions, the spending habits of Generation Z are not based on impulse, thrift, or extravagance. The pandemic shaped specific motivations in spending habits, namely prioritizing need. This study has limitations, including the small sample size and the use of internal variables.
