This study evaluates the effectiveness of smartphone detox program for smartphone addiction among university students. To reduce the rate of smartphone addiction and its negative effects on physical, mental and social wellness, a six-session program was applied to sixteen participants who voluntarily completed the entire program and responded to pre-post survey. Smartphone Addiction Proneness Scale (SAPS) was used for smartphone addiction assessment with Mental Health Scale, Positive Psychological Capital Scale for mental wellness and Self-Management Scale for physical and social wellness. Results received after the program indicated that, smartphone addiction and mental health scores decreased significantly while the average scores of self-management and positive psychological capital increased respectively. Furthermore, the rate of high-risk group decreased, and the participants, affirmed in their self-evaluation report that excessive use of smartphone negatively affects their body, mind and interpersonal relationship. Thus, smartphone detox program is effective in reducing smartphone addiction and improving the students' wellness.

Objectives : The aim of this study is to review the instruments used to assess patient condition and the effects of Korean medical treatment for patients injured in traffic accidents in clinical studies in the Korean medical field published in South Korea. Methods : A literature study was performed, and clinical studies on patients injured in traffic accidents visiting Korean medical clinics or hospitals were examined. Data about chief complaints, tools used to assess either patients' condition or the effectiveness of Korean medical treatment, and time point of assessment were extracted. The studies were classified according to symptom. The use-frequency and the parent category of the assessment tools were also analyzed. Results : 78 studies were selected and classified into 5 categories based on the chief complaints, neck pain, lower back pain, headache, psychological symptoms and unspecified symptoms. Various scales were used to report the patient's pain severity, and functional or psychological status resulting from traffic accidents. Pain index, in particular VAS, was most frequently used and a few mechanical instruments and Korean medicinal assessment tools were mentioned. Conclusion : Most instruments used in Korean medicine clinical studies on patients injured in traffic accidents are self-reported tools. To assess both the patient's condition precisely and the effectiveness of Korean medical treatment on patients injured in traffic accidents, more appropriate and unified tools should be designed that consider pain, functional disability, psychological status and objective assessments measured by devices together.
It is getting higher the demand on a good sound in a car. Like some other sensory qualities, achieving a good sound is still treated as a black-box followed by the individual taste of tuning engineers. This study aims to define the attributes of a good car audio sound and the assessment factors affecting the sound quality. With a variety of surveys on professional listening groups and car audio installers, 26 most frequently used vocabularies are selected as typical presentations of car audio sound quality. After repetitions of listening tests with deliberately selected test CD, pre-recorded 15 different digital car-recordings, headphones replay system, and three different listening groups, it is proved that there are at least 5 different assessment factors which significantly affect the car audio sound quality. They are high fidelity, spectral balance, tonal accuracy, sound stage and acoustic fault.

Twenty male production workers in a metal stamping company participated as subjects in this study. The subjects were required to undergo questionnaire surveys and sEMG measurement. Results: Results of the questionnaire surveys found that all subjects experienced psychological fatigue due to prolonged standing jobs. Similarly, muscle fatigue has been identified through sEMG measurement. Based on the non-parametric statistical test using the Spearman's rank order correlation, the left erector spinae obtained a moderate positive correlation and statistically significant ($r_s$ = 0.552, p < 0.05) between the results of questionnaire surveys and sEMG measurement. Conclusion: Based on this study, the authors concluded that prolonged standing was contributed to psychological fatigue and to muscle fatigue among the production workers.

An insider threat is a threat that comes from people within the organization being attacked. It can be described as a function of the motivation, opportunity, and capability of the insider. Compared to managing the dimensions of opportunity and capability, assessing one's motivation in committing malicious acts poses more challenges to organizations because it usually involves a more obtrusive process of psychological examination. The existing body of research in psycholinguistics suggests that automated text analysis of electronic communications can be an alternative for predicting and detecting insider threat through unobtrusive behavior monitoring. However, a major challenge in employing this approach is that it is difficult to minimize the risk of missing any potential threat while maintaining an acceptable false alarm rate. To deal with the trade-off between the risk of missed catches and the false alarm rate, we propose a unified psycholinguistic framework that consolidates multiple text analyzers to carry out sentiment analysis, emotion analysis, and topic modeling on electronic communications for unobtrusive psychological assessment. The user scenarios presented in this paper demonstrated how the trade-off issue can be attenuated with different text analyzers working collaboratively to provide more comprehensive summaries of users' psychological states.
