노인의 소속감, 무력감과 영양 상태와의 관계 (Relationship between Sense of Belonging, Powerlessness and Nutritional status of Elderly People)

  • This study was performed to analyze health problems in older adults in a comprehensive manner, including usual living habits, nutritional status, and society psychological factors. Research was conducted by a structured questionnaire by interviews with a test group of 316 people over the age of 65 from April 2012 to August 2012. Elderly people's dietary intake was assessed using NSI (Nutrition Screening Initiative) by the 24-hour retrospective method, and elderly people's feeling of helplessness and sense of belonging were assessed using the measuring device. Material analysis, descriptive statistics, and regression analysis were performed using SPSS. Elderly people with increased age showed higher chances of being in the high-risk and undernourished group. Elderly with high NSI showed low intake of fat, protein, fibrin, vitamin C, E, $B_1$, $B_2$, Niacin, K, Fe, Zn, and Cu than those with low NSI. Findings from this comparative analysis indicate that elderly with better nutritional status showed a lower feeling of helplessness than those with poor nutritional status. Overall, elderly people consumed a b road variety of foods, and social emotional stability of elderly people increased at optimal dietary levels.

격려집단상담 프로그램과 대학생의 자기효능감과 주관적 안녕감과의 관계 (The Relationship of the Encouragement Group Counseling Program on Self-Efficacy and Subjective Well-Being of University Students)

  • 본 연구는 대학생들이 예비 사회인이자 지성인으로서 대학생활에 대한 학교적응 뿐만 아니라 사회환경의 변화에 대한 변동대응능력을 확보함으로써 긍정적 자아를 정립하기 위한 방안으로 격려집단상담 프로그램에 의한 자기효능감과 주관적 안녕감의 수준을 분석하는데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 따라서 대학생들을 대상으로 하여 격려집단상담 프로그램의 적용이 그들의 자기효능감과 주관적 안녕감 수준에 미치는 영향에 대해서 분석하였다. 분석결과, 대학생에 대한 격려집단상담 프로그램의 적용은 자기효능감과 주관적 안녕감에 모두 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 연구결과는 사람은 격려되었을 때, 보다 긍정적이고 높은 자신감과 심리적 안정감을 형성할 수 있다는 것을 의미하는 것으로 보여 진다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 연구결과를 바탕으로 대학생들에 대해서 스스로 자기 자신을 격려하는 사람으로 변화되도록 지원해주는 격려집단상담 프로그램 운영의 필요성을 제시하였다.

Effect of Anti-Aging Standard Forest Healing Program With Multiple Visits to a Forest Facility on Cognition in Older Age Patients

  • Background and purpose: The anti-aging standard forest healing program (ASFHP), which uses forest therapy, was reported to be effective in improving psychological, physical, and cognitive functions. However, there are several challenges to directly visiting the forest. This study aimed to investigate the impact of multi-session ASFHP with forest visit on the mental and physical health of the older people with visits to forest facilities and compared them with those of the same program conducted indoors. Methods: Individuals aged over 70 years with concerns about cognitive decline were recruited at dementia relief centers and divided into control and experimental groups. A total of 33 people were administered ASFHP under the supervision of a forest therapy instructor. The control group stayed indoors, while the experimental group visited a forest healing center and repeated the program 20 weeks. Results: The multiple-session ASFHP positively affected cognitive impairment screening test (CIST) total scores (p=0.002), memory (p=0.014), Korean version of the Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status total scores (p<0.001), immediate recall (p=0.001), visuospatial/construction (p<0.001), language (p<0.001), forest healing standard questionnaire total scores (p=0.002), and cognitive function (p=0.019), regardless of location. The forest visits during the ASFHP showed positive effects on orientation (p=0.035), delayed recall (p=0.042), emotional stability (p=0.032), physical activity (p=0.005), and health (p=0.022). The CIST scores of the memory domain were the strongest indicator of the multiple-session ASFHP effects. Conclusions: The 20-week multi-session ASFHP with forest visit showed effects on cognitive improvement and physical and emotional stability compared to indoor education.

산림치유 프로그램이 대학생의 정서안정과 긍정적 사고에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Campus Forest Therapy Program on University Students Emotional Stability and Positive Thinking)

  • 본 연구에서는 학교숲을 활용한 산림치유 프로그램이 대학생의 정서안정과 긍정적 사고에 영향을 미치는가를 알아보기 위하여 실시하였다. 연구대상은 실험군과 대조군으로 구분하였으며 실험군 35명, 대조군 25명이다. 실험군을 대상으로 2018년 9월 4일부터 2018년 12월 4일까지 총 120분씩 8회기의 산림치유 프로그램을 실시하였다. 프로그램 참가 전과 후의 정서안정과 긍정적 사고를 살펴보았다. 산림치유프로그램 실시 전과 후에 정서안정과 긍정적 사고의 차이를 알아보기 위해 대응표본 t-test를 실시하고 그 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 실험군의 정서안정과 긍정적 사고의 사전-사후 평균값이 증가하였음을 확인했다. 본 연구를 통해 학교 숲을 이용한 산림치유 프로그램이 대학생의 정서를 안정시키며 긍정적으로 사고하는 것에 영향이 있음을 확인하였다. 이에 산림치유 프로그램은 대학생의 정신건강을 치유하고 예방하기 위한 대안활동으로 활성화 되어야 한다.

중학생의 방과 후 스포츠 활동 참여가 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Middle School Students' Participation in After-school Sports Activities on Psychological Well-being)

  • 연구의 목적은 중학생의 방과 후 스포츠 활동 참여가 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석해 보는데 있다. 이를 위해서 충남 공주시에 있는 2개 중학교 1, 2, 3 학년 학생 280명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문 기간은 2019년 9월8일부터 10월 17일 까지 약 1개월 동안 실시하였다. 심리적 안정감의 측정도구는 Ryff(1995)가 개발한 척도를 사용하였다. 하위요인은 자아수용(6문항), 긍정적 대인관계(5문항), 자율성(6문항), 환경에 대한 통제력(5문항), 삶의 목적(5문항), 개인적 성장 (5문항) 등 총 32개 문항으로 Likert 5점 척도로 구성하였으며 본 연구의 내적합치도(Cronbach's α는 .76-.83으로 나타났다. 조사대상 학생 중 52.1%인 146명이 방과 후 스포츠 활동에 참가하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 방과 후 스포츠 활동 유무에 따른 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향은 참여집단이 높은 것으로 나타났으며 심리적 안녕감의 6개 하위변위 자아수용, 긍정적 대인관계, 자율성, 환경에 대한 통제력, 삶의 목적, 개인적 성장 등 모든 변인이 통계적으로 유의성이 검증되었다. 이러한 연구결과로 볼 때 중학생의 스포츠 활동은 정서의 발달에 직접적인 영향을 미친다는 강명화(2011), 김판수(2012), 등의 연구와 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해서 확인할 수 있었던 것은 방과 후 스포츠 활동의 강화 방안을 모색하고 문제아동을 적극 참여시키는 방안을 마련할 필요가 있다. 방과 후 스포츠 활동의 참여는 날로 심각해지고 있는 사회의 정화 차원에서 검토되어야 한다.

색채 선호를 통한 치과위생사의 성향 분석 (Personality Trait Analysis of Dental Hygienists through Color Preference)

  • 본 연구는 CRR (Colour Reflection Reading) 분석법을 이용하여 지역사회 치과위생사의 색채 선호를 통해 특정 집단의 성향을 알아보고자 하였다. 광주·전남 지역의 치과 병·의원에 재직 중인 치과위생사 총 238명을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 시행하였다. 8가지 색상 중 선택하는 순서에 따라 유형을 구별하였으며, SPSS 22.0 통계프로그램을 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫 번째 색으로는 마젠타, 두 번째는 노랑, 세 번째로 마젠타 색상을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 연령별 선호 색채는 모든 연령에서 첫 번째 색으로 마젠타를 선호하였고, 결혼과 자녀 유무에 따른 결과는 두 번째 색에서 기혼은 노랑, 미혼은 파랑을 선호하는 것으로 동일하게 나타났다. 이 연구결과는 선호 색채 및 보색을 활용하여 스트레스 완화나 심리적 안정을 고려한 근무 환경 조성 등 인적자원 관리를 위한 자료로 활용하고자 한다.

Security관련 종사자의 무도수련이 직무수행에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Practicing Martial Art upon job Performance of Employees Engaged in Security Industry)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine effects of practicing martial arts upon job performance of employees engaged in security industry. For positive investigation, 400 employees were questioned using some questionnaires; as a result, we obtained the following conclusion of the relation between the extent of the practicing martial art and the ability of performing their jobs. First, the more they practice martial art, the better and higher their mental health and psychological stability more than control group. Especially, when crime is reported to them or they arrest a criminal taken in an act of crime, the degree of their anxiety was low and they strongly expose self-confidence, their view of moral achievement and their sense of morality. Second, the more they practice martial art, the higher their ability of arrestment a criminal in an act and self-defense is. Because practicing martial art make their vital power and physical strength promoted. Third, the more they practice martial art, the more sincere the trust and friendship among colleagues are. As well they seem to feel strong solidarity oneanother. But practicing martial art appeared that it doesnt have an effect on coping with complications among generations and the gaps between master sergeant and them. Fourth, employees engaged in security industry practicing martial art is not only used in job performance merely as a technique; it is also effective on the mind that it make their anxiety dissolved and give them self-confidence.

조직 내 임금 데이터 설계가 고객만족 및 이직률 감소에 미치는 영향: TASTE FITNESS 사례를 중심으로 (A Study on the Effects of Wage Data Design Scheme on Customer Satisfaction and Turnover Reduction : Focusing on the Case of TASTE FITNESS)

  • Compensation plays an important role in increasing the satisfaction of organizational members and reducing turnover. A balanced approach including competitive base salary and performance-based compensation can meet the financial and psychological needs of members, creating more dedicated and satisfied organizational members. From this perspective, this study was conducted on the impact of trainers' performance-based compensation system on customer satisfaction and turnover rate, focusing on TASTE FITNESS. TASTE FITNESS established differentiated compensation and performance-based compensation system based on performance-based compensation for each job group of counselors, managers, and trainers working within the organization, and confirmed that this led to the turnover rate of organizational members and customer satisfaction. However, a more efficient and satisfactory compensation system can be established by supplementing the stability of performance-based compensation, supporting the initial entry stage, diversifying performance-based compensation, and strengthening long-term performance-based compensation. This is an issue that should be considered not only by TASTE FITNESS but also by all similar industries.

Impact of postoperative dietary types on nutrition and treatment prognosis in hospitalized patients undergoing oral and maxillofacial surgery: a comparative study

  • Objectives: The objective of this study is to compare a nutritionally balanced soft blend diet (SBD) with a soft fluid diet (SFD) on the health of inpatients who have undergone oral and maxillofacial (OMF) surgery, ultimately aiming to enhance care outcomes, improve health-related quality of life (QOL), and increase satisfaction with the hospital. Methods: Thirty-two patients were randomized into two groups: sixteen received SFD and sixteen received SBD. Anthropometric, laboratory evaluations were conducted upon admission and discharge. Patients filled out questionnaires on demographics, diet satisfaction, food intake amount, and health-related QOL on the day of discharge, assessed using the EuroQoL 5 Dimensions 3 Level and EuroQoL Visual Analogue Scale (EQ-VAS) instruments. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, χ2 tests for group differences, and paired nonparametric t-tests for within-group comparisons. The Mann-Whitney U test evaluated inter-group differences in preoperative weight and body mass index (BMI), postoperative changes, meal satisfaction, intake, health-related QOL, and self-assessed health status. P-values were set at a significance level of 0.05. Results: The SBD group had higher dietary intake (63.2% vs. 51.0%) and greater diet satisfaction (80.6 vs. 48.1, P < 0.0001) compared to SFD group. Health-related QOL, measured by EQ-VAS, was better in SBD group (70.3 vs. 58.8, P < 0.05). Postoperative weight and BMI decreased in SFD group but increased in SBD group (P < 0.01). Changes in laboratory results showed more stability in the SBD group. No postoperative infections were reported in SBD group, whereas SFD group had a 31.25% complication rate. Conclusions: While SFD is often recommended after OMF surgery to protect oral wound healing process, our study reveals that SBD not only enhances physical and psychological outcomes but also, somewhat unexpectedly, supports wound healing and reduces complications. Essentially, SBD promotes physical recovery and enhances health-related QOL than SFD by supporting both somatic and mental healing aspects.

Changes in Physiological and Psychological Conditions of Humans to Color Stimuli of Plants

  • This study investigates the color stimuli of two varieties of foliage plants by extracting electroencephalogram, electrocardiogram and physiology activity data from 30 participants in their 50s or older. Changes in the physiological activity of subjects against six color stimuli were examined. The stimulus to real green plants 'Silver Queen' was set as the control group, and was compared with other groups including the stimulus to real 'Angel' plants and four stimuli to artificial colors (two color images and color schemes of the same green and red plants). Compared to the five groups, the relative theta power spectrum (RT) and the ratio of alpha to high beta (RAHB) increased in the subjects exposed to real green plants. This result demonstrates that the green plant ('Silver Queen') increases the stability, relaxation, and internal concentration of subjects in a proper state of awakening. The result of this experiment showed a statistically significant difference in the level of RT when subjects were exposed to the groups of real green and red plants. This finding indicates that the green plant increases internal concentration more than the red plant. RT and the relative low beta power spectrum (RLB) in the groups of natural colors were higher than the groups of artificial colors when subjects focused their mind on the two types of real plants. However, the level of relative mid beta power spectrum (RMB), ratio of SMR to theta (RST), ratio of mid beta to theta (RMT), relative high beta power spectrum (RHB), and spectral edge frequency 95% were higher when subjects were exposed to the photos and colors scheme of plants than when they were exposed to real plants. The subjects experienced more "comfortable" emotions when they were looking at plants with green colors. Overall, it is recommended to use the natural colors of real plants in places where which stability and relaxation are required. On the contrary, the artificial colors of plants such as their photos and color schemes are useful in places where a high level of concentration is required in a short period of time.
