  • Freud's' discovery of the unconscious' is a great revolution. Because of this, human beings were able to get the opportunity to look into their inner than honest. Lu Xun and Guo Mo Ruo a pair of realism and romanticism literature representative of Chinese modern literature writers.   • This study is based on Freud's psychoanalysis and intends to deal with the actual psychoanalytic counseling applied to it. In particular, I would like to study the counseling process and counseling techniques. The research results are as follows. The counseling process goes through four stages: initiation, transfer development, training, and transfer resolution as follows after selecting a client and constructing a counseling situation. In the beginning phase, the client listens to important past histories. In the metastasis development stage, it is from the time when metastasis appears. The training phase is the phase in which the client's insight is translated into real life to bring about change. The transfer resolution stage is the period when transfer analysis and interpretation are completed. Counseling techniques include free association, empathy, resistance, transference and countertransference, and interpretation. Free association is a key technique in psychoanalytic therapy and plays an important role in maintaining the analytical framework. Empathy is the ability of the therapist to identify herself with the client and the ability of the therapist to convey the empathic experience to the client itself is a key mechanism for change. Resistance refers to any behavior in which the client does not cooperate with counseling. Transference and countertransference are the main techniques of psychoanalysis. This is because the psychoanalyst induces and resolves the transference of the client during the treatment process. Interpretation refers to the technique of responding verbally in order to understand the needs, meanings, and motives hidden behind the client's thoughts, feelings, and actions. In conclusion, the counseling process of psychoanalytic counseling refers to the purpose of effective counseling by selecting a client and constructing a counseling situation. In addition, the principles of psychoanalysis in counseling techniques are applied to treatment procedures that vary according to the nature of the case, and can be variably applied while treating the same client.

  • This study will analyze the meaning of the signifiant, which occupies an absolute position in Lacanian psychoanalysis, and will prove the slip of meaning and signification that are accompanied together at the same time when the signifiant was utter through the subject. By directly citing the part where Lacan explained signification in his seminars and Écrits, I would like to examine how signifiant is carried out in everyday conversation. In addition, the dialogue that takes place in our discourse has the purposefulness and groundless purposelessness of the signifiant. Understanding this purpose is the core part that Lacanian psychoanalysis aims to pursue, and it discovers the cracks of the hidden meaning in the relationship between the signifiant and the signifiant connected to the next, presenting that the signifiant which arouses unrelenting fantasy of the subject is the practical ruler of body and mind. This thesis is aimed to present the above points mentioned above, and as an alternative to overcome the limitations of the signifiant, the ruler in discourse, this study would like to suggest the autonomy as a subject resisting against "Where it was, I must come into being," pursued by Lacan psychoanalysis.

  • The history of mankind has been together with the history of image because image provides with excellent information as a communication means. However, this study argues that there is more underlying cause for it. A subject is the subject of unconscious and the role of image is huge in the process toward the subject. Of course, image has been dealt in-depth in psychoanalysis. Film study also applied psychoanalysis on it. However, they were not the approach from the viewpoint with image in the center. Accordingly, this study will verify the image toward the subject and the absoluteness of image. The result of this study is that image intervened deeply in the formation of the subject much higher than the level of simple communication. Since image communicates with the subject on more underlying level, the subject have been always entangled with image and men have delved in image and been attracted to it.

The Education/training Background as a Variable Related Ethical Behaviors of Child Counselors (아동상담자의 윤리적 실천행동 관련변인으로서 교육훈련배경)

  • This study examined education and training as variables related to ethical behaviors of child counselors. The four sub-variables of this study included main educational/training background (academic career, major in last degree, and treatment modality), source of education in ethics, experience of educational psychoanalysis, and experience of supervision. The 136 child counselors participating in this study were administered the Inventory for Ethical Behaviors of Child Counselors (Yoo & Kim, 2(06). Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, Cronbach's a, t-test, one way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. Results showed that main educational/training background (academic career, major in last degree, and treatment modality), experience of educational psychoanalysis, and experience of supervision were significant variables related to ethical behaviors of child counselors.

Uncanny as Aesthetic Experience (심미적 경험으로서의 언캐니)

  • This paper interprets the work of Hans Bellmer, who took pictures after making a doll and distorting its form, and Diane Arbus, who took documentary photographs of unusual and marginalized people, as uncanny anxiety referred to by Freud. Through these two photographers' works, this paper examined how anxiety was used as an aesthetic strategy, and discussed the uncanny as an aesthetic experience. Uncanny refers to the phenomenon of familiar things being repressed and returning to their original place, or the phenomenon of familiarity being alienated due to repression. The aesthetic strategy of uncanny is used to bring a blind spot in reality that can be easily missed with an ordinary vision into the fore, by allowing for the slight shock to an appreciator. The ultimate goal of uncanny aesthetics is to promote both inner and external changes as well as to expand the scope of imagination, through freely crossing the borders between consciousness and unconsciousness, sympathy and antipathy, and reality and fiction.

  • What should a therapist do if the patient has lost the ability to speak in sessions? How should the therapist understand and approach this 'deadly silence'? Psychosomatic patients have poor ability to mentalize their experience, so they create a 'shunt' from emotional experience to body bypassing symbolic sphere. This makes psychosomatic patients vulnerable to expressing their emotions in words. With the case vignette 'When words are unspeakable: a bridge beyond the silence' written by Wirth in a book "From soma to symbol" we observe how psychosomatic pathology arises, from inappropriate mirroring and poor containment; and how this escalates into a vicious cycle of sin and punishment in the patient's conscience. This conscience scenario imprisons a talented and creative mind in a dark, silent place, wherein symbols and words are forbidden. This seemingly impossible task of providing silent patients with a 'talking cure' finds breakthrough with containment, and transformative thinking using therapists' reveries.

  • The study focused on Jean-Luc Godard's about the relationship between visual effects and psychoanalysis of the film. Godar set up an interpreter for communication between the scenario adaptors and producers, producers and directors, producers and interpreters, and assistants in However, the role of an interpreter is based on the premise that although there is an interpreter, accurate communication is impossible. Such a break in communication is used as a strategy to clearly clarify Godar's own direction while revealing the difficulties of filmmaking as the gap between the two sides in filmmaking becomes clear. Based on Freud's theory of psychoanalysis, the meaning of the study is to analyze Jean-Luc Godard's relationship with filmmakers, directors, writers, actors and how the director visually reproduces the conflict among the invisible participants in the film.

  • For the past hundred years, since many films have only been focusing on expressing suppressed desire and obsession, there have been few films in which unconsciousness desire is expressed and pursuing dream comes true as Freud says. Well known for a convoluted and dreamy structure and plot, David Lynch successfully represents a real dream sequence with his own way of image presentation form in his representative film "Mulholland Drive (2001)". In this study, I attempt to analyze how he expresses the realistic dream sequence with a strange film structure based on Freud's psychoanalysis. In general, dream world is known as completely visual matter, but the feeling of things is more important for making a realistic dream and it is the main reason that we can have more realistic experiences in a dream.
