  • Fuse is the initial equipment of Protective Relay The installation standard of Fuse has been used for long time in Power Facilities. However according to the innovative development of Electric & Electronic element(=semiconductor) Technology, Protective Relay and other Power Equipments are being changed into Digitalization and Multi-Functional Convergence. In contrast with it, the installation standard of Fuse is just the same. There is a need to give careful consideration to it. This study will bear a Part of producing a safe and efficient Power by examining the current installation of primal 8f secondary 1'use in multi-functional PT of Power plant, giving a problem careful consideration and suggesting suitable countermeasures.

Protective Relaying Algorithm for Transformer Using Wavelet Transform (웨이블렛 변환을 이용한 변압기 보호계전 알고리즘)

  • The power transformer is one of the very important electric facilities in power systems. Recently, current differential relay is widely used to protect such power transformer But if inrush occurs in transformer, relay can be tripped by judging like internal fault. Therefore the correct discrimination between internal winding fault, inrush and overexcitation should be performed. This paper presents a new protective relaying algorithm which discriminates inrush, internal faults and overexcitation of transformer modelled using BCTRAN and HYSDAT of EMTP. Discrimination between internal winding fault and inrush is revealed in simulation within 1/2 cycle after fault. Accordingly, it is evaluated that the proposed algorithm has better discrimination characteristics in various cases thin the current relaying for protection of transformer.

  • In spite of regular electrical safety inspection and improvement management of incongruent facilities, over 80 percent of electrical fires were generated in electrical facilities for general use, and the prevention of electrical safety accidents gets more difficult because of incomprehension on electrical safety inspection system, the increasement of non-inspection electrical facilities user, un-installation of residual current protective devices and leaving unsuitable equipments alone. This paper analyzed electrical safety inspection system of electrical facilities for general use and results of safety inspection and electrical fire statistics, and deducted the related problems. Also, improvement method of safety management of electrical facilities for general use was proposed in view of electrical safety inspection system, inspection implementation method, electrical fire statistics establishment, electrical safety consciousness and remote electrical safety inspection system.

  • This research modified the checklist used in the universities in USA, England and Korea considering the current situation of Korea, and conducted case studies upon each section of appointed chemical laboratories based on 4M criteria, which stands for Machine, Media, Man and Management. The purpose of the studies is to assess how dangerous the laboratories are and to contribute to prevention of accidentsin the laboratories as well as reducing loss of lives and property. The result of this research found out the harmful and hazardous factors based on the 4M-type checklist and predicted the dangerousness as it multiplies possible frequency by intensity. Protective equipment, safety facilities in laboratories, emergency exit and compressed gas cylinder are found to be more dangerous, so the result shows that it is desirable to improve ventilation, safety facilities and circumstances of the laboratory through the investment.

  • With the advent of internet, the modern society is enjoying the benefits of the information age. As one of undesirable side effects of utilization of internet, however, it is often mentioned that young students are helplessly exposed to inappropriate and unqualified information. Therefore, in this paper, we will clarify the nature of inappropriate information to the younger generation and will argue for the needs of protecting the youth from inappropriate information. Especially the merits and limits of often motioned five different protective and regulatory measures are presented and analyzed, those are, establishment of acceptable use policy, active utilization of supervisory organization, promotion of Internet rating system, installation of filtering software, and legal and regulatory protection. As a fundamental means of resolving the problems, however, enforcement of systematic information literacy education, promotion of active utilization of sound information, development of search engines for the youth, design of diverse filtering softwares which can be selected by users, and increased attention by parents and teachers are suggested.

  • For the purpose of launching strikes, initial survivability of self-propelled artilleries is of crucial importance despite the fact that they are mobility weapon systems. This study identifies the combat placement possibility of the reinforced concrete box-type artillery positions, which might enable the replacement of the current igloo-types, in terms of cost and protection capability. In the numerical analysis the obtained numerical values have proved that these facilities have sufficient protection capability. In addition, it could be concluded that these facilities are also cost-competitive, if more than five positions are constructed simultaneously.

  • Harmonics happened due to nonlinear systems such as UPS, SCR controlled motors, and fluorescent lighting in distribute power system is very important subject to optimal operation and control of power system. Harmonics sometimes make incorrect operation of protective relaying system under normal condition on power system. In this study, total harmonics distortion(THD) of power were measured and analyzed by the field test on electrical facilities which were installed at the rural industrial complex in Chungbuk province. In addition, the deprivation of power factor by harmonics and the content of THD which is measured at neutral line was researched.

  • In this paper, we present interfaces for IPMP services on MPEG Multimedia Middleware (M3W). For supporting normative IPMP framework based on MPEG-2/4 IPMPX, M3W IPMP tool interfaces are defined and far supporting MPEG-21 IPMP, REL and other related protective functions, M3W trust management interfaces are. Through the proposed interfaces, IPMP can be easily implemented under various environments and experimental results show some implementation examples.

  • In the Present thesis, at temps were to study with the study on the terror with laser weapons. Chapter I which sets out purpose, scope and method. Chapter II concerns the general definition of laser weapons. Chapter III explain at length overview about development of laser weapons. Chapter IV suggest the terror with laser weapons and the counterplan against it. It is followed by concluding observation made in chapter V. To we operated security systems effectively, these need to be regulated according to a security measures organizations, laser facilities and equipments, laser plan and protective force, laser operations and so forth.
