22.9KV 배전설게 보호협조을 위한 전문가 시스템 (An Expert System for Protection Coordiantion in 22.9KV Distribution System Design)

  • To design protection coordination for an electric power distribution system, an expert system is developed, using both the veteran expert's heuristics and the guide book for the distribution facility operation considering feeder configuration, service route, load characteristics fault current and load current. The expert system developed in this papaer determines the type of protective device(clearing current and sequence). The location and rating change of protective device in the old feeder is realized by using old database. Current(T-C) curves of various kinds of protective devices are stored in Knowledge Base (KB). The expert system is developed on a 32 bit personal computer using PROLOG, AutoCAD,dBASEIIIPLUS and FORTRAN. To compute the fault current and loadflow, FORTRAN is used.

  • It is very important to study the protective relaying system from the viewpoint of technical analysis to apply superconducting power devices to real power systems. In this paper, we developed Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL) analysis model using Real Time Digital Simulator(RTDS) for protective relay tests in power system with SFCLs. The RTDS model has the operation mechanism of a real SFCL system.

  • 기존의 전력 시스템 보호 장치는 아날로그 방식으로 고성능, 고기능화를 지향하는 전력 설비의 장치로는 동자의 신뢰도를 높일 수 없으며, 또한 배전용 전력 시스템의 중앙감시 및 제어 장치로 표준화시키지 못한 문제점이 있다. 수배전 보호장치와 비상용 발전 설비의 제어장치를 디지털 방식으로 전환시켜 집약적이고, 고성능의 전력 시스템 감시 및 제어 기능을 갖도록 한다. 전력 시스템의 동작 및 상태(전압, 전류, 전력, 위상 및 주파수)를 실시간 디지털 방식으로 계측하고 통신방식을 사용하여 감시하고 제어하는 통합 중앙 감시 및 제어장치 개발을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 전력 감시 설비를 마이컴 방식[1,2]을 채택하여 디지털 제어가 가능하며 집약적이고 고성능의 감시 및 제어기능[3]을 갖도록 하였다.

  • Recently, research and interests in pilotless and radio-controlled quadcopters have increased due to military, hobby, and air-photo applications. However, quadcopters are fragile and can very easily to break when they crash. Therefore, it is necessary to create a protective device such that these devices can protect the main board, motor, and propellers from outside impacts. In this paper, a protective device for a quadcopter is designed in the form of a circle to disperse shock. Also, a dropping and impact simulation was performed to verify that the quadcopter can be efficiently protected when using the proposed device, created with the commercial finite element software Solidworks.

  • As DAS becomes a common practice, various operational tools are needed. This paper proposes the new restoration strategy considering the coordination of the protective devices and the generalized method for determining the switching sequence. The effectiveness of the proposed method has been tested on the various real systems.

  • In an electrical network, electrical power are transmitted by a various of protection, isolation and control electric circuit devices. This thesis deals with the protection function between circuit-breakers. The protective coordination concerns the behaviour of two devices placed in series in an electrical network, with a short-circuit downstream circuit-breaker. It has two basic principles: First, discrimination which is an increasing requirement of low voltage electrical distribution systems. Second, which is less well known: cascading, which consists of installing a device, whose breaking capacity is less than the three-phase short-circuit current at its terminals and helped by main circuit-breaker. The important advantage of cascading is to be able to install at a branch circuit-breaker of a lesser performance without endangering the safety of the installation for more economical usage. To determine and guarantee co-ordination between two circuit breakers, it is necessary to carry out a theoretical approach, first, and then confirm the results by means of standard tests. This is illustrated in appendix A of IEC 947-2.

고조파가 누전차단기에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Harmonics on Residual Current Protective Devices)

  • 고조파에 의한 누전차단기 동작이 계속적으로 보고되어 왔으나 누전차단기 동작을 설명할 수 있는 자료가 없는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 누전차단기에 대한 고조파 영향을 규명하기 위해 누전차단기 오동작 현황에 대한 조사 및 누전차단기 원인불명 동작이 자주 발생하는 건물에서 고조파를 측정 및 분석하였다. 또한 왜곡된 파형을 발생시킬 수 있는 고조파 합성장치를 이용하여 누전차단기 동작 특성을 시험하였다. 시험결과 3차 고조파가 기본파에 합성되었을 때 가장 작은 값의 누설전류에 누전 차단기가 동작되었고 기본파에 더해진 고조파 차수가 증가할 수 록 누전차단기 동작전류는 증가하였다.

  • This paper analyzed the application of Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL) on 22.9 [kV] bus tie in a power distribution system. Commonly, the parallel operations of power main transformers offer a lot of merits. However, when a fault occurs in the parallel operation of power main transformer, the fault currents might exceed the interruption capacity of existing protective devices. To resolve this problem, thus, the SFCL has been studied as the fascinating device. In case that, Particularly, the SFCL could be installed to parallel operation of various power main transformers in power distribution system of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) on 22.9 [kV] bus tie, the effect of the resistance of SFCL could reduce the increased fault currents and meet the interruption capacity of existing protective devices by them. Therefore, we analyzed the effect of application and proposed the proper impedance of the R-type SFCL on 22.9 [kV] bus tie in a power distribution system using PSCAD/EMTDC.
