강도증진해석에 의한 한중콘크리트의 초기동해 방지기간 설정에 관한 검토 (A Review on the Determination of the Protecting Duration of Frost Damage at Early Ages in Cold Weater Concreting Based on the Analysis of Strength Development)

  • A protections from the frost damage at early ages is one of the serious problems to be considered in cold weather concreting. Frost damage at early ages brings about the harmful influences on the concrete structures such surface cracks and the loss of strength. Therefore, in this paper, the protecting durations of frost damage at early ages according to the standard specifications provided in KCI(Korean Concrete Institute) are suggested by appling logistic curve, which evaluates the strength development of concrete with maturity. According to the results, as W/C and compressive strength for protecting from frost damages at early ages increased, longer protecting duration is required. It shows that the protecting durations of FAC(Fly Ash Cement) are longer than those of OPC(Ordinary Portland Cement).

  • The purpose of this study is to enhance durability of concrete structures that uses this surface protecting material by carrying out the performance test of the surface protecting material of concrete, and as s result, we reached out the conclusion as follow. 1. As a result of the test measuring the stability and adhesive power of conductive film against ultraviolet, freezing & thawing, and damage from seawater that deteriorate the surface protecting material, it was turned out to meet the performance criteria specifying in the KS standard enough to gain a good evaluation to use as a surface protecting material. 2. As a result of the test identifying the neutralization-furtherance, it was assessed to be capable of protecting effectively concrete structures from carbonic acid gas by a very low depth of 0.1mm of neutralization. 3. As a result of the test identifying Penetrated Resistance Properties of chloride ion, as it was turned out to have a very low value of 819 Coulombs, it was assessed that even in the environment where the corrosion by chloride such sea environment is very affective, the film can effectively protect the concrete structure. 4. As a result of the test identifying freezing & thawing, as there was no change in reduction of mass after 400 cycle, it was assessed that the film has a good resistance against freezing & thawing. According to the results of study above, it is expected that this technology can extend its durability of concrete structure and be widely used for concrete structure through means (methods) to prevent the neutralization and damage from seawater as original purposes of the surface protecting material.

한중콘크리트의 초기 동해 방지를 위한 초기 양생기간의 산정 (Determination of the Protecting Periods of Frost Damage at Early Age in Cold Weather Concreting)

  • Protections from the frost damage at early ages are one of the serious problems to be considered in cold weather concreting. Frost damage at early ages brings about the harmful influences on the concrete structures such as surface cracks and declination of strength development. Therefore, in this paper, protecting periods of frost damage at early ages according to the standard specifications provided in KCI(Korean Concrete Institute) are suggested by appling logistic curve, which evaluates the strength development of concrete with maturity. W/B, kinds of cement and curing temperatures are selected as test parameters. According to the results, the estimation of strength development by logistic curve has a good agreement between calculated values and measured values. As W/B and compressive strength for protecting from frost damages at early ages increase, it is prolonged. It shows that the protecting periods of FAC(Fly Ash Cement) and BSC(Blast-furnace Slag Cement) concrete are longer than those of OPC(Ordinary Portland Cement) concrete. The protecting peridos from frost damage at early age by JASS are somewhat shorter than those by this paper.

고성능 콘크리트를 활용한 교량 교면포장 기술 (Bridge Deck Overlay Technology Using High Performance Concrete)

  • 실리카퓸, 플라이애쉬, 고로슬래등 미분말 혼화재가 포함된 고성능 콘크리트(High Performance Concrete) 교량 바닥판 보호공법은 1980년 초부터 북미를 중심으로 사용되어 왔다. 본 보고서에서는 교량 바닥판 보호를 위한 고성능 콘크리트 적용사례와 고성능 콘크리트를 이용한 두 가지 공법(고성능 콘크리트 교면포장공법, 노출 바닥판 공법)에 대해 소개한다. 위 두 공법은 이미 북미에서 많은 실적을 보유하고 있으며 특히, 실리카퓸과 PVA섬유가 포함된 고성능 콘크리트 교면포장공법은 국내에서도 성공적으로 적용되고 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 기존 아스팔트 재료를 대체할 수 있고, 최근 국내에서도 그 적용성에 대한 관심과 실 시공이 이루어지고 있는 고성능 콘크리트를 이용한 교면포장 (Overlay) 공법 및 노출 바닥판(Full depth) 공법에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

지하 콘크리트구조물의 열화 억제에 의한 내구성 증진에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Durability Improvement by Controlling the Deterioration of Underground Concrete Structures)

  • 일반적으로 코팅은 철근 콘크리트를 보호하기 위해 사용되어지며, 이러한 목적으로 사용되어지는 코팅에는 무기계 뿐만 아니라 유기계 코팅이 있다. 무기계 코팅의 장점은 자외선 흡수성이 적고 불연성이라는 것이며, 반면 유기계 코형의 장점은 $CO_2, SO_2$투과성 및 물의 투수성이 낮으며, 철근 콘크리트의 보호능력은 유기계 코팅이 더 우수하다. 그러나 에폭시, 우레탄 및 아크릴과 같은 유기계 코팅은 콘크리트와의 열팽창계수와 탄성계수 차이로 인해 장기 접착강도가 저하되고, 통기성이 부족하여 형성된 막에 들뜸이 발생된다. 또한 유기계 코팅이 콘크러트의 습윤면에 적용될 경우에는 접착의 문제가 발생된다. 본 연구에서는 콘크리트를 보호하기 위해 폴리머와 세라믹을 합성시켜 개발된 코팅제의 물리 성능과 내구 성능 및 용출 안전성에 대한 시험을 하였다. 개발된 코팅계에 대하여 유기계 코팅재 및 에폭시와 비교하였으며, 시험결과 개발된 코팅재는 콘크리트를 보호하기 위한 유기계 코팅재에 비해 성능이 떨어지지 않았고, 반면 용출 안전성 측면에서는 에폭시보다 더 우수함을 보였다. 특히 물과 접해 있는 지하 콘크리트구조물을 보호하는 데에 적합하며, 무기계와 유기계 코팅재의 장점을 갖은 콘크리트 보호용 코팅재라고 판단된다.

사면보호용(斜面保護用) 범용보강(凡用補强)콘크리트블록의 개발(開發) (Development of Common Reinforced Concrete Block for Slope Protection)

  • The reinforced concrete blocks for reinforced earth layer are combined with soil structures consisted of facing unit, reinforcing materials and soil. Those environmentally friendly facing units of reinforced concrete blocks are made of mine waste and tailing and that will be played a role of the effects of recycling use of wasted resources. The block are consisted of three types as curved or straight in order to control topography. The systems are also not limited to wall hight so that they are effectively used for protecting the slope of banking and cutting of earth works. The reinforced concrete blocks developed this time will be effectively applied for not only retaining wall, road, park, golf course, public office building constructions but also protecting of slope stabilization projects.

크기효과가 고려된 철근콘크리트 휨 부재의 최소철근비 제안 (A Proposal of Minimum Steel Ratio Considering Size Effect for Flexural Reinforced Concrete Member)

  • In according with concrete structural design standard, it is common designing flexure reinforcement concrete to induce tension failure. So reinforcing ratio is limited to inducing tension failure. And maximum reinforcing ratio is regulated to protecting concrete compression strength caused by over reinforced building. Minimum reinforcing ratio is also limited in designing standard to protecting brittle failure as extremely using less reinforcing bar. But in minimum reinforcing ratio it is extremely conservative or it is sometimes impossible to induce stable tension-failure because they are depending on yield failure and experienced method and concrete designing standard strength. Therefore the purpose of the present paper is to evaluate the flexural behavior of minimum steel ratio of reinforced concrete of beams and to propose the guide-line of equation of minimum steel ratio by performing static flexural test of 16 beams according to size effect, number of steel, yielding stress of steel, and concrete compressive strength which are presumed effective variables. From experimental results, the equation of minimum steel ratio was newly proposed considered size effect.

Status and Prospect of Test Methods of Quality Silicone Water Repellent for Protecting Reinforced Concrete

  • Impregnating with quality silicone water repellent on the concrete surface is an effective method of protecting concrete. Quality silicone water repellent has been widely used in the engineering profession because of its desirable properties such as hydrophobicity, keeping concrete breathable and preserving the original appearance of the concrete. The companies in China that produce silicone water repellent are listed. Test methods in the specifications or standards about silicone water repellent in China are summed. The test methods relative to durability of concrete impregnated with silicone water repellent (such as resistant to chloride ion penetration, resistant to alkali, resistance to freezing and thawing and weatherability etc.) and the constructive quality (such as water absorption rate, impregnating depth and the dry velocity coefficient etc.) are compared and analyzed. The results indicate that there are differences among test methods relative to different specifications with the same index and therefore, confusion has ensued when selecting test methods. All test methods with the exception of the method of water absorption rate by using a Karsten flask are not non-destructive methods or conducted in a laboratory. Finally, further research on silicone water repellent during application is proposed.

고로슬래그 미분말 다량치환 콘크리트의 탄산화 억제를 위한 기밀성 향상재 부착효과 (The Surface Sealing Performance of Film, Air cap and Polystyrene foam for Preventing Carbonation of High-Volume Slag Concrete)

  • 친환경 건설 재료의 일환으로 고로슬래그 미분말을 다량치환한 콘크리트에 대해 재생골재를 이용해 잠재수경성 반응을 활성화 시켜 콘크리트로서의 활용방안 모색과 탄산화를 저감시킬 목적으로 다양한 기밀성 향상재를 표면에 부착하여 탄산화 저감효과를 측정하였다. 재생골재의 사용은 표면의 모르타르 및 미수화 시멘트로 인해 고로슬래그 미분말을 다량 치환한 콘크리트에 양호한 영향을 미친 것으로 판단되었다. 콘크리트 표면의 기밀성 향상재에 따른 탄산화 저감 효과는 기밀성 향상재 종류와 상관없이 콘크리트 표면에 효과적으로 부착되어 있는 경우라면 모두 양호한 탄산화 저감 성능을 나타내었다. 그러므로 시공이 용이하고 취급이 간편하며 콘크리트 표면에서 장기간 양호한 내구성을 발휘하는 기밀성 향상재로 선시공 1중 에어캡이 가장 양호한 방법으로 판단되었으며, 추가적으로 단열성능을 고려하였을 때에는 선시공 2중 에어캡이 효율적인 방법으로 생각해 볼 수 있었다.
