  • When manufacturing information and communication device that consists of lots of part, it is important to improve the quality of the produced system by inspecting the system accurately and exclude the defected part. In case of LCD which is recently in a great demand, the inspection process of the nut which bonds the back frame to protect the LCD panel has to be done by human labor. It highly required an automatic inspection system which can inspect the nut without wasting human resources. In this paper, we describe the process of developing a system which automatically inspect the status of nuts inserted during the manufacturing of LCD. The nut inspection vision system developed measures the number of nut's spiral, the distance between pitches, the width of a pitch, and the inside diameter of nut. We have adopted lens with high magnifying power and calibration tool and intended to produce automatic lighting for maintaining a stable environment for a high precision system. We also developed the algorithms for analyzing the nut. We apply the system to real factory field and verify that it is better than the man power in terms of error rate.

  • Fuel cell systems are a completely different form of electricity source that has been used so far and is an aggregation of multiple technologies with multidisciplinary features that can be operated safely only when gas and electrical safety are being considered. Since fuel cells generate through electrochemical reactions there are difficulties in ensuring electricity safety, power quality assessment, effective control and reliability standards for system faults using conventional inspection techniques and even though they are necessary as a primary means for reduction of CO2 owing to the Climate Convention, electrical safety assessment and measures are required for the prevention of faults in residential facilities. Although small-scaled distributed power supplies can be utilized as important means of peak control and energy management measures, research is required for observing the effects on the system and the development of inspection technology to ensure stable operation, and the electrical safety of residential fuel cell systems need to be assessed and the problems derived for establishing electrical safety standards. From the year 2002, Japan has established laws on technical safety standards and development and rules on the product specifications and standards for the industrialization of hydrogen fuel cells. Also, a lot of effort have been made for the commercialization of fuel cells by building one-stop certification services. Internationally, the IEC TC 105 has established international standards based on fuel cells. In order to protect the national interest, the country should be able to respond accordingly meet global standards. In fact, in Korea, to comply with the international trend, Korea Energy Management Corporation is establishing a certified agenda for fuel cells and Korean Agency for Technology and Standards is enacting technical standards for fuel cells. The current terms of fuel cells are that research has been focused more on the quality and performance of manufactured products rather than stable power operation and maintenance over time. In this paper, by considering the household fuel cell as a power device, the safety standards of the fuel cell system for a reliable operation with the existing power system is being proposed.

  • The release of iPhone by Apple in 2009 has changed the life pattern of an individual tremendously. That is, with the emergence of a smart phone, various services including voice/video call, camera, receiving and sending of e-mail, and web browsing have been realized. However, the broader the scope of the use of a smart phone has become, the greater the need for companies to introduce an MDM solution for protecting important documents has become. However the MDM solution may have a problem in that all data such as contacts, pictures, and memos saved in the smart phone can be accessed unlimitedly. For this reason, there is a risk that unwanted violation of privacy may happen to smart phone users. This paper proposed a plan to protect a personal privacy file of smart phone users, which disables access by others except for related smart phone users by enabling a person in charge of security or an MDM manager in a company to have access only to the file which was allowed by smart phone users to be disclosed and by saving non-disclosed files in a virtual disk.

  • A Light Emitting Diode(LED) is a semiconductor device which converts electricity into light. LEDs are widely used in a field of illumination, LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) backlight, mobile signals because they have several merits, such as low power consumption, long lifetime, high brightness, fast response, environment friendly. In general, LEDs production does die bonding and wire bonding on board, and do silicon and phosphor dispensing to protect LED chip and improve brightness. Then lens molding process is performed using mixed liquid silicon rubber(LSR) by resin and hardener. A mixture of resin and hardener affect the optical characteristics of the LED lens. In this paper, computational design of static mixer was performed for mixing of liquid silicon. To evaluate characteristic of mixing efficiency, finite element model of static mixer was generated, and fluidic analysis was performed according to length of mixing element. Finally, optimal condition of length of mixing element was applied to static mixer from result of fluidic analysis.

  • This study investigated the probability of possible accident through qualitative and quantitative analysis of the pressure safety valve types installed in facilities using high pressure gas to compare the installation domestic and foreign pressure safety valve standards sought the safety characteristics and safety improvement direction accordingly. The three types are the case where the shut-off valve is not installed at the front of the PSV (Case A), If a shut-off valve is installed at the front of the PSV for inspection (Case B) and If a shut-off valve is installed in front of PSV (C.S.O), PSV is installed in parallel (Case C). Three types of cases were compared with FTA and HAZOP. The results of study of the possible accidents due to over-pressure safety valve installation type, used in a high-pressure gas facilities was shows in the following order Case B > Case A > Case C. The results of analysis through FTA was in order to protect the reservoir for the possible occurring of accident the safety valve installation is depend on its type. In the FTA analysis, defects in the device itself which attached to the storage tank as a substitute for analysis of the probability of operator mistakes was Case B with as high as $2.01{\times}10^{-6}$. Depending on the type of installation analysis of Case B in order to ensure safety is prohibited to install shut-off valve and believes that mandatory regulations are needed. Rationally installing of pressure safety valve in the high pressure using facilities will be expected to improve the industrial safety from severe accidents such as high-pressure gas fire explosion.

  • In recent years, e-Commerce is very active on the Internet, especially the World Wide Web along with the popularization of Internet using high-speed networks. Especially, Electronic Software Distribution(ESD) is widely being focused as one of the popular researches. However, the existing models of ESD lack substantial illegal copy protection or copyright protection as they have the shortcomings of guaranteeing anonymity of users. This study suggests an ESD protocol that guarantees substantial copyright protection and anonymity based on the Public Key Infrastrncture(PKl). The suggested method does not give the information of a buyer who doesn't want to reveal to a seller, and protects illegal copy and distribution as well. When it happens that illegal copies are in circulation, this method provides a device to trace back its original distributor so that it helps protect the copyright. In addition, it provides more convenient environment to the user by not using the methods of serial number input and extra installation to use.

  • Recently FCC has considered about the unlicensed device operation in licensed bands. However, this operation can give the harmful interference to the existent licensed system while unlicensed devices operate. Therefore, there should be strict requirements to protect licensed system. So in this paper we propose dynamic frequency selection method in the MAC layer, which is based on the cognitive radio technology. The proposed dynamic frequency selection method creates channel lists after sensing the licensed channels. And it helps the CR base station immediately to moves the current channels that are used by the unlicensed system to other available bands dynamically when a licensed system's signal is detected. This method can reduce interference that is caused by unlicensed devices. In addition, it can maximize channel utilization with enabling coexistence of unlicensed system and licensed system.
