A Study on Required Competency for Each Field of Intellectual Property in the 4th Industrial Revolution Era (4차 산업혁명 시대의 지식재산 분야별 필요 역량 분석)

  • In order to cope with the rapid changes in science and technology and various societies and complex economies with the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, intellectual property education is essential above all. In this study, therefore, intellectual property and the required competences were derived and verified for each field. As for the research method, Delphi technique was used twice for literature review and experts, and the conclusions of the research are as follows. First, the field of intellectual property required in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution was classified, through literature review and Delphi technique, in eleven sections such as IP-R & D consulting, IP information search analysis, IP entitlement, IP strategic planning, IP transaction, IP finance, IP value evaluation, IP management, global IP management, IP commercialization, and IP disputes, of which validity was verified. Second, It was analyzed that the validity of required competencies derived from each field of intellectual property was reliable. Third, it is generally appropriate to nurture manpower in each field of intellectual property in universities or graduate schools. In addition, it is judged that regular job training of industries such as enterprises and public institutions is necessary regardless of the field.

A Visual Preference Study on Namdaemun and its Surroundings Using Visual Simulation Techniques (시뮬레이션 기법을 이용한 남대문 및 주변 경관의 시각적 선호도에 관한 연구)

  • One argument of this study is that the policy to handle and landscape of cultural and historical property had to do with people's visual preferences. This study seeks to investigate people's visual preferences toward the landscape of cultural /historical property, specifically dealing with 'Namdaemun', which is the first class cultural property of Korea. People's visual preference was specifically examined into the four specific concepts : 'visual identity','harmony','beauty of the target property', and 'overall beauty'. Two objective variables, such as, 'distance' between the viewer and the cultural property, and 'height' of background buildings were considered possible predictors of the four visual preference variables. Photos of 'Namdaemun' were taken at three different directions and at three different distances. The photographed images of 'Namdaemun' were transferred ito the digitalized graphic images, where the height of background buildings was artificially changed and simulated. The simulated visual images were taken into the slides again. A total of 59 students of the Department of Landscape architecture at Seoul City University were sampled as subjects. A series of 17 slides were shown to the subjects four times. The subjects were asked to check their preference ratings concerning the four concepts on a 7-point Likert scale. The results found in this study were as follows : 1) In the results of ANOVA, it was clear that people visually preferred the view where the height of background buildings were lower than 15 floors to the view of more than 15 floors . 2) From the results of the path analysis, it was found that 'harmony','visual identity' and 'beauty of the target property' were direct predictors of 'the overall beauty'. The 'height ' of background buildings and the viewer's 'distance' were not found to be direct predictors, however, they demonstrated their effects on 'the overall beauty' through the other variable, which were direct predictors of 'the overall beauty'. In sum, the longer the distance and the higher the background buildings, the lower people's preference with the 'overall beauty'. These indirect paths, in turn, also explain why and how the 'height' of background buildings and the viewer's 'distance' negatively influence the 'overall beauty'. An implication from the these results is that when the height of background buildings were not controllable, there would be some other strategies for improving people's visual preference toward the historical /cultural view. To increase 'visual identity' of the cultural property, for example, changing colors of the cultural property or increasing the lighting level, etc., would be one strategy, since the increased 'visual identity' will, in turn, increase 'the overall beauty'.

  • This study was conducted to evaluate physical property change of asphalt cement chromatograms (by HP-GPC) were experimentally obtained from 3 types of AC-20 virgin ACs, 5 and 24-hour artificially aged ACs, and naturally aged 4 ACs that were recovered from 4 different roads. Absolute viscosity, kinematic visoosity and penetration were the physical properties tested. THF was used for mobil phase and RI detector was used as a detector for Hp-GPC testing. Correlation between each physical property change and the chromatogram variation was evaluated. Each chromatogram was divided into ten-equal-time slices. The percentage areas of 10 slices and each physical property were used for statistical correlation evaluation. Statistical analysis results showed that eaoh physical property had a strong correlation with the chromatogram characteristics. Aging was identified as a mechanism of change of molecular size distribution - increasing large size molecules and reducing coresponding samll size molecules.

  • The stress and displacement fields at the crack tip were studied during the unsteady propagation of a mode III crack in a direction that was different from the property graduation direction in functionally graded materials (FGMs). The property graduation in FGMs was assumed based on the linearly varying shear modulus under a constant density and the exponentially varying shear modulus and density. To obtain the solution of the harmonic function, the general partial differential equation of the dynamic equilibrium equation was transformed into a Laplace equation. Based on the Laplace equation, the stress and displacement fields, which depended on the time rates of change in the crack tip speed and stress intensity factor, were obtained through an asymptotic analysis. Using the stress and displacement fields, the effects of the angled property variation on the stresses, displacements, and stress intensity factors are discussed.

  • Intellectual property rights play a key role in employment creation and income generation plays an important role, especially in the creative economy. Many companies are ultimately increasing efforts to boost the company's financial performance, such as maximizing profits by building a strong brand assets amid committed to brand management in this paradigm. Reasonable evaluation and commercialization of technology transactions, financial assistance, investment decisions, trademark brand value for the reactivation (revitalizing) for the purposes of M & A, litigation, brand strategy will be said to be very important. In spite of the importance, the awareness of the property and the capabilities to assess are hardly sufficient. Thus, this study, targeting companies with valid trademarks for value assessment, conducted case analysis by cost method and income approach; the analysis presented the result from 2.05 million by the cost method to 2.7 million by the income approach applied to a variable discount rate and adjustment contribution. However, now that the implication was drawn from a single company, further studies covering case study and application plan according to scale and type of diverse company groups should be continued.

  • Thermal property is one of the important characteristic in the field of energetic materials. As the energy material is released during decomposition, DSC(Differential Scanning Calorimetry) is frequently used for the thermal analysis. In case of the dynamic DSC measurements, thermal dynamic change like melting is prevented from the thermal property measurements. And due to the predicting kg scale, the conditions of the heat exchange with the environment significantly is changed. In this study, As the method to resolve the problem, we predict the thermal aging property using the AKTS thermokinetic program from DSC measurements which performed isothermal method. Predicting the thermal aging properties from ARC(Accelerating Rate Calorimetry) measurement, we compare two results.

  • This study analyzed the topographical characteristics by extracting property factors of stream (stream order, number of stream, stream length, mean stream length) and property factors of basin (basin area, basin length, total stream length, total number of stream, basin mean width, form factor, maximum stream order, basin density, stream frequency, relief ratio, mean elevation, mean, slope, maximum elevation) from DEM (digital elevation model) and stream network generated by 1:5,000 NGIS (national geographical information system) data for the Bukhan-river basin. In addition, topographical factors for upper, mid stream and lower stream were analyzed and the mutuality of the factors by linear and nonlinear regression curve was identified.

  • The research analyzes and investigates conventional concrete, hydration heat, set, and mechanical properties by making high flowing self-compacting concretes of binary blend and ternary blend as one of evaluations about the properties of the hydration heat of high flowing self-compacting concrete with a strength of 30, 50, and 70 MPa. In addition, it estimates concrete adiabatic temperatures by calculating a thermal property value of powder obtained by measuring a heat evolution amount for powder used in concrete, a thermal property value of concrete obtained by conducting a simple adiabatic temperature test, and a normal thermal property value of material used in concrete, using a simple equation. Moreover, it analyzes and investigates the hydration heat property of high flowing self-compacting concrete and the thermal stress caused by hydration heat by conducting a 3D temperature stress analysis for the hydration heat and the adiabatic temperature obtained by temperature analysis, using MIDAS CIVIL 06 program.

A Study on Reconciliation of Observation Data of Interior Space and Feasibility of its Analysis Process (실내공간 주시 데이터의 보정과 분석과정 타당성에 관한 연구)

  • There occurs subtle shaking in our eyes while in looking at objects and this study sets up the standard of reconciliation from the property of observation and organizes the property of data reconciliation by the observation range to secure the feasibility of reconciliation range and method of the original data obtained from observation experiment and its analysis process. The results from above study can be concluded as in the followings: First, it made clear the process to exclude eye blink and data out of image range from the original data so to set up the range of available data. Second, on the basis of existing theory, it was possible to define the minimum attention time as 0.1 second (3 times of observation) and the visual understanding time of space as 0.3 second (9 times of observation) in the study on the property of observation, and this definition of observation time of sight fixation becomes an important indicator in the analysis of observation data. Third, based on the observation theory of continuity securing and attention, it was able to arrange the standard of reconciliation by carrying out reconciliation works only when fixed data with more than three times of observation showed consecutively before and behind the data with intermittent movements. Fourth, In the sector whether visual understanding occurred (more than 9 times), it increased by 12% for the frequency of observation and by 7.8% for the times of observation compared with the ones before the reconciliation. These results showed to have a constant change by subjects so that it was able to arrange a foundation to secure objective data in the analysis of the observation range and its extent.

ELECTRO-MICROSCOPE BASED 3D PLANT CELL IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD

  • Agricultural products are easily deformable its shape because of some external forces. However, these force behavior is difficult to measure quantitatively. Until now, many researches on the mechanical property was performed with various methods such as material testing, chemical analysis and non-destructive methods. In order to investigate force behavior on the cellular unit of agricultural products, electro-microscope based 3D image processing method will contribute to analysis of plant cells behavior. Before image measurement of plant cells, plant sample was cut off cross-sectioned area in a size of almost 300-400 ${\mu}$ m units using the micron thickness device, and some of preprocessing procedure was performed with fixing and dyeing. However, the wall structure of plant cell is closely neighbor each other, it is necessary to separate its boundary pixel. Therefore, image merging and shrinking algorithm was adopted to avoid disconnection. After then, boundary pixel was traced through thinning algorithm. Each image from the electro-microscope has a information of x,y position and its height along the z axis cross sectioned image plane. 3D image was constructed using the continuous image combination. Major feature was acquired from a fault image and measured area, thickness of cell wall, shape and unit cell volume. The shape of plant cell was consist of multiple facet shape. Through this measured information, it is possible to construct for structure shape of unit plant cell. This micro unit image processing techniques will contribute to the filed of agricultural mechanical property and will use to construct unit cell model of each agricultural products and information of boundary will use for finite element analysis on unit cell image.
