  • In this paper, we introduce an design of fuzzy relation-based fuzzy neural networks with multi-output. Fuzzy relation-based fuzzy neural networks comprise the network structure generated by dividing the entire input space. The premise part of the fuzzy rules of the network reflects the relation of the division space for the entire input space and the consequent part of the fuzzy rules expresses three types of polynomial functions such as constant, linear, and modified quadratic. For the multi-output structure the neurons in the output layer were connected with connection weights. The learning of fuzzy neural networks is realized by adjusting connections of the neurons both in the consequent part of the fuzzy rules and in the output layer, and it follows a back-propagation algorithm. In addition, in order to optimize the network, the parameters of the network such as apexes of membership functions, learning rate and momentum coefficient are automatically optimized by using real-coded genetic algorithm. Two examples are included to evaluate the performance of the proposed network.

  • In this paper, we introduce an design of multi-output fuzzy neural networks based on Interval Type-2 fuzzy set. The proposed Interval Type-2 fuzzy set-based fuzzy neural networks with multi-output (IT2FS-based FNNm) comprise the network structure generated by dividing the input space individually. The premise part of the fuzzy rules of the network reflects the individuality of the division space for the entire input space and the consequent part of the fuzzy rules expresses three types of polynomial functions with interval sets such as constant, linear, and modified quadratic inference for pattern recognition. The learning of fuzzy neural networks is realized by adjusting connections of the neurons in the consequent part of the fuzzy rules, and it follows a back-propagation algorithm. In addition, in order to optimize the network, the parameters of the network such as apexes of membership functions, uncertainty factor, learning rate and momentum coefficient were automatically optimized by using real-coded genetic algorithm. The proposed model is evaluated with the use of numerical experimentation.

  • This paper presents models of fuzzy inference systems that can be built from a set of input-output training data pairs through hybrid structure-parameter learning. Fuzzy inference systems has the difficulty of parameter learning. Here we develop a coding format to determine a fuzzy neural network(FNN) model by chromosome in a genetic algorithm(GA) and present systematic approach to identify the parameters and structure of FNN. The proposed FNN can automatically identify the fuzzy rules and tune the membership functions by modifying the connection weights of the networks using the GA and the back-propagation learning algorithm. In order to show effectiveness of it we simulate and compare with conventional methods.

  • This pater is a study on the measurement of solid-borne sound propagation in buildings. The purpose of this paper is to present the data needed for comfortable building enevironment. Solid-Borne sound in apartment building was measured at the source of sound and at many receiving locations in building. Dispersion of the sound level was analyzed to understand noises level at different locations. Graphic method as well as polynomial regression techniques were employed. For this experiment, we made use of the TAPPING MACHINE according to the standard rules of ISO as a impulse exciter, and the measurement was carried out after the building has been all completed. Noticeable noise reductions were observed as the distance from the source to the receiving location increases.

  • In this paper, we propose blind adaptation strategies for decision feedback equalizer (DFE) optimizing the operation mode between acquisitionand tracking modes based on adjustable soft decision devices. The proposed schemes select an optimal soft decision device to generate feedback samples for the DFE at a given noise to signal ratio, and apply corresponding adaptation rules which combine a blind infinite impulse response (IIR) filtering adaptation and the decision-directed least mean squared (DD-LMS) DFE adaptation. These adaptation approaches attempt to achieve not only smooth transition between acquisition and tracking of DFE but also mitigation of error propagation.

  • In this paper. we present a neuro-fuzzy controller which unifies both fuzzy logic and multi-layered feed forward neural networks. Fuzzy logic provides a means for converting linguistic control knowledge into control actions. On the other hand. feed forward neural networks provide salient features. such as learning and parallelism. In the proposed neuro-fuzzy controller. the parameters of membership functions in the antecedent part of fuzzy inference rules are identified by using the error back propagation algorithm as a learning rule. while the coefficients of the linear combination of input variables in the consequent part are determined by using the least square estimation method. Finally. the effectiveness of the proposed controller is verified through computer simulation for an inverted pole system.

  • In this paper, we discuss a fuzzy neural network classifier with immune algorithm. The fuzzy neural network classifier is constructed with the fuzzy classifier and the neural network classifier based on fuzzy rules. To maximize performance of classifier, the immune algorithm and the back propagation algorithm are used. For the generalized classification ability, the simulation results from the iris data demonstrate superiority of the proposed classifier in comparison with other classifier.

  • We derive a back-propagation learning algorithm of fuzzy neural networks using fuzzy operations, which preserves the shapes of fuzzy numbers, in order to utilize fuzzy if-then rules as well as numerical data in the learning of neural networks for classification problems and for fuzzy control problems. By introducing the shape preseving fuzzy operation into a neural network, the proposed network simplifies fuzzy arithmetic operations of fuzzy numbers with exact result in learning the network. And we illustrate our approach by computer simulations on numerical examples.

  • In this paper, the improved Multi-FNN (Fuzzy-Neural Networks) model is identified and optimized using HCM (Hard C-Means) clustering method and optimization algorithms. The proposed Multi-FNN is based on FNN and use simplified and linear inference as fuzzy inference method and error back propagation algorithm as learning rules. We use a HCM clustering and genetic algorithms (GAs) to identify both the structure and the parameters of a Multi-FNN model. Here, HCM clustering method, which is carried out for the process data preprocessing of system modeling, is utilized to determine the structure of Multi-FNN according to the divisions of input-output space using I/O process data. Also, the parame...

  • This work presents a deterministic channel that rules according to inverse a power propagation law. The proposed channel model allows us to derive the lower bound and upper bound of packet's capture probability in Rayleigh fading and shadowing cellular mobile system. According to these capture probabilities, we analyze the system performance in the case of finite stations and finite communicated coverage of a base station. We also adopted a dynamic backoff window size to discuss the robustness of IEEE 802.11 draft standard. Some suggestions and conclusions from numerical results are given to establish the more strong CSMA/CA protocol.
