In this paper, we propose a signal propagation modeling technique for generating a positioning fingerprint DB based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) signals. When a DB is created based on the location-based signal information collected in an urban area, gaps in the DB due to uncollected areas occur. The spatial interpolation method for filling the gaps has limitations. In addition, the existing gap filling technique through signal propagation modeling does not reflect the signal attenuation characteristics according to directions occurring in urban areas by considering only the signal attenuation characteristics according to distance. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a Deep Neural Network (DNN)-based signal propagation functionalization technique that considers distance and direction together. To verify the performance of this technique, an experiment was conducted in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Based on the acquired signals, signal propagation characteristics were modeled for each method, and Root Mean Squared Errors (RMSE) was calculated using the verification data to perform comparative analysis. As a result, it was shown that the proposed technique is improved by about 4.284 dBm compared to the existing signal propagation model. Through this, it can be confirmed that the DNN-based signal propagation model proposed in this paper is excellent in performance, and it is expected that the positioning performance will be improved based on the fingerprint DB generated through it.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to verify whether droplet-induced propagation, the main route of infectious diseases such as COVID-19, can occur in semiconductor FAB (Fabrication), based on research results on general droplet propagation. Methods: Through data surveys droplet propagation was modeled through simulation and experimental case analysis according to general (without mask) and mask-wearing conditions, and the risk of droplet propagation was inferred by reflecting semiconductor FAB operation conditions (air current, air conditioning system, humidity, filter conditions). Results: Based on the results investigated to predict the possibility of spreading infectious diseases in semiconductor FAB, the total amount of droplet propagation (concentration), propagation distance, and virus life in FAB were inferred by reflecting the management parameter of semiconductor FAB. Conclusions: The total amount(concentration) of droplet propagation in the semiconductor fab is most affected by the presence or absence of wearing a mask and the line air dilution rate has some influence. when worn it spreads within 0.35~1m, and since the humidity is constant the virus can survive in the air for up to 3 hours. as a result the semiconductor fab is judged to be and effective space to block virus propagation due to the special environmental condition of a clean room.
At present, the research on wave propagation in graphene platelet reinforced composite plates focuses on the propagation behavior of bulk waves, in which the effect of boundary condition is ignored, there is no literature report on propagation behaviors of guided waves in graphene platelet reinforced metal foams (GPLRMF) plates. In fact, wave propagation is affected by boundary conditions, so it is necessary to study the propagation characteristics of guided waves. The aim of this paper is to solve this problem. The effective performance of the material was calculated using the mixing law. Equations of motion of GPLRMF plate is derived by using Hamilton's principle. Then, the eigenvalue method is used to obtain the expressions of bending wave, shear wave and longitudinal wave, and the degradation verification is carried out. Finally, the effects of graphene platelets (GPLs) volume fraction, elastic foundation, porosity coefficient, GPLs distribution types and porosity distribution types on the dispersion relations are studied. We find that these factors play an important role in the propagation characteristics and phase velocity of guided waves.
Once the sensor node in wireless sensor networks is installed, it usually operates without human intervention for a long time. The remote code update scheme is required because it is difficult to recall the sensor node in many situations. Therefore, studies on the reliable and efficient transport protocol for code propagation in wireless sensor networks have been increasingly done. However, by considering only the stability aspect of transmission, most of previous works ignore the consideration on the fast code propagation. This results the energy inefficiency by consuming unnecessary energy due to the slow code propagation. In this paper, in order to overcome limitation of the previous code propagation protocols, we propose a new code propagation protocol called "FCPP(Fast Code Propagation Protocol)". The FCPP aims at improving the reliability at well as performance. For this purpose, the FCPP accomplishes the fast code propagation by using the RTT-based transmission rate control and NACK suppression scheme, which provides a better the network utilization and avoids a unnecessary transmission delay. Based on the ns-2 simulation result, we prove that the FCPP Improves significantly both reliability and performance.
In general, flow propagation has been explained using the shock wave theory which is expressed as a function of variations in volume and density. However, the theory has certain limitation in portraying heterogeneous flow, e.g., flow propagation between lanes. Motivated by this fact, this study seeks a new measure for analyzing the propagation characteristics of traffic flow at three sections of highway (i.e., merging area, weaving section, and basic section) from temporal and spatial perspectives, and then develops a model for estimating the measure for the flow propagation. The "shock wave speed" which is the measure widely adopted in literature, was first applied to describe the propagation characteristics, but it was hard to find distinct characteristics in the propagation. This finding inspires to develop a new measure named "Impulse Volume". It is shown that the measure better explains the propagation characteristics at the three study sections of highway. In addition, several models are also developed by performing multi-regression analyses to explain the flow propagation between lanes. The models proposed in this paper can be distinguished in three sections and the lane placement.
The sound wave in the sea propagates under the effect of water depth, sound velocity structure, sea surface and bottom roughness, and bottom sediment distribution. In particular the sound velocity structure in shallow water varies with time and space, an? the sediment distributes very variedly with place. In order to investigate the seasonal variation of low-frequency sound propagation in the Yellow Sea, the propagation experiments were conducted along the same track in the middle part of the Yellow Sea at various seasons of spring. summer, and autumn. In this paper we consider the measurement results on the propagation loss with the sound velocity structure, and investigate the seasonal variation of the propagation loss. As a result, the propagation losses measured in summer were larger than the losses in spring and autumn. And the propagation losses measured in autumn were smaller than the losses in spring. The seasonal change of the propagation loss increased with the rise of sound frequency and the propagation range.
Fatigue crack propagation rates and characteristics of the SA516-70 steel which is used for the low temperature pressure vessels, were studied in the room temperature of $10^{\circ}C$ and low temperature ranges of $-10^{\circ}C,\;-30^{\circ}C,\;-50^{\circ}C,\;and\;-70^{\circ}C$ with stress ratio of R=0.05. The obtained experimental results are as follows; 1) In the logarithmic relationship between the fatigue crack propagation rate(da/dN) and stress intensity factor K, the linear relationship was obtained up to da/dN > $8{\times}10^3$ mm/cycle in the same of room temperature, but in low temperature case, the relationship was extended to the range of low crack propagation rate. 2) The lower limit stress intensity factor of SA516-70 ${\Delta}K_{th}\;was\;23MPa\sqrt{m}$ and in the case of low temperature $-50^{\circ}C\;and\;-70^{\circ}C$, the crack propagation rate da/dN which showed a linear relation, reached rapidly to the ${\Delta}K_{th}$. As the results, the crack propagation rates of $-50^{\circ}C\;and\;-70^{\circ}C$ were lower than that of room temperature and according to the testing temperature the rates were decreased rapidly to the ${\Delta}K_{th}$. 3) On the relationship between the stress intensity factor ${\Delta}K$ and the track propagation cycle, the stress intensity factors of low cycle region was rapidly increased at low temperature, but ${\Delta}K$ was increased rapidly at room temperature of high cycle. 4) On the relationship between the fatigue crack propagation rate and cycle, the fatigue crack propagation rate showed higher gradient in the room temperature than the low temperature due to the increment in ductility at low temperature.

It is well known that sound waves in the sea propagates under the influence of sea surface and bottom roughness, the sound speed profile, the water depth, and the density of sea floor sediment. In particular, an abrupt change of sound speed with depth can greatly affect sound propagation through an eddy. Eddies are frequently generated in the East Sea near the Korean Peninsula. A warm eddy with diameter of about 150 km is often observed, and the sound speed profile is greatly changed within about 400 m of water depth at the center by the eddy around the Ulleung Basin in the East Sea. The characteristics of low-frequency sound propagation across a warm eddy are investigated by a sound propagation model in order to understand the influence of warm eddies. The acoustic rays and propagation losses are calculated by a range-dependent acoustic model in conditions where the eddy is both present and absent. We found that low-frequency sound propagation is affected by the warm eddy, and that the phenomena dominate the upper ocean within 800 m of water depth. The propagation losses of a 100 Hz frequency are variable within ${\pm}15$ dB with depth and range by the warm eddy. Such variations are more pronounced at the deep source near the sound channel axis than the shallow source. Furthermore, low-frequency sound propagation from the eddy center to the eddy edge is more affected by the warm eddy than sound propagation from the eddy edge to the eddy center.

Start This paper analyzes the propagation characteristics of acoustic signals in indoor environments, which is applicable to indoor positioning system. Indoor stereo sound system is generally valid within $25m^2$. So it is not possible to apply prevalent sound propagation characteristic to indoor positioning system because the prevalent acoustic signals propagation characteristic is defined under free space condition. Therefore, in this paper, we present the propagation characteristics of acoustic signals in indoor environments considering the free space propagation characteristic as well as room characteristic such as humidity, temperature, absorption of atmosphere and so on. To verify the designed propagation model of indoor acoustic signals, this paper presents the propagation characteristics of decreasing sinusoidal signals whose frequencies ate from 1kHz to 20kHz in anechoic room. In addition, this paper also presents the propagation characteristics of decreasing sinusoidal signals which have multiple frequencies.
