Traditional architectural space, which is a historical cultural heritage must be connected mutually as a organic flow of various elements such as the environment of the time, political background and values, rather than approaching with fragmentary point of view. The Silhak Philosophy, the basis of late Chosun society developed equity thoughts on the basis of ideology of humanism, and it asserted the promotion of technology and industry as a measure to realize the pursuit of truth which is practically useful. Thus, we could verify the possibility of convergent interpretation of cultural technology of Hwaseong architectural space through the humanistic viewpoint of pioneer spirit of Silhak Philosophy which regards human as a main agent of desire of life, and the pursuit of truth which is useful for reality, and the realization of ethical value by aesthetic practicalism. Based on this, the ontological meaning and value of Suwon Hwaseong by the viewpoint of convergence of culture and technology have been drawn as the construction of planned new town by the practice of filial duty, the plan of city space based on rational values, the realization of a metropolis where self-sufficient economic activities are possible, the introduction of thorough construction management system, the introduction of advanced culture and its creative application, and the application of scientifical knowledges and cutting-edge technology.

The purpose of this study aimed to know the association between seven health practices and self rated health by Sasang constitution. We recruited 367 subjects aged from 30 to 59. KS 15 questionnaire was used to classify Sasang constitution and visual analogue scale was used to estimate self rated health. Chi-square test was used to know the difference of occupation distribution by Sasang constitution. Anova test, T-test and Chi-square test also used to analyze the difference of self rated health between the health practice group and non-health group in individual Sasang constitution. SPSS 21.0K was used and significant p was <.05. Regular morning meal, non-snaking, good sleeping and sufficient exercise had higher self rated health score (p<.05). Regular morning meal, good sleeping and sufficient exercise had higher score in Tae-eumin (p<.05). Good sleeping had higher self rated health score in Soeumin and Soyangin (p<.05). These results suggest there is possibility that health practices for health promotion could be different according to Sasang constitution.

In January 1997, there was a change in agricultural extension system enrolling the provincial and county level extension personnel in local government. They were previously enrolled in central government. Even though the extension agents' status were secured, but there were some complaints from the extension personnels until now. The purpose of this study was to examine the possibility to improve the extension service after the change. Some of the tasks for improvements from the change were as follows; 1) Revision of the laws related to rural development to protect against side effects on the localization, 2) Revision of the provisions to interchange personnels between the central and local extension service, 3) Provisions for organizing county level agricultural extension committee, and 4) Central government's support for the personnel expenses of local extension agents. Though there were such several improvements, some extension personnel still raise objection to the change as following; (1) the right of personnel management mandated partially from the chief of local government to the chief of the extension office, (2) substantial raising of the extension agents' pay, and 3) promotion in rank of extension educators.

One of domestic power generation companies, Korea East-West Power Corporation(EWP) had no performance in overseas business just two short years ago. However, EWP has accomplished breakthrough results with the profit of KRW 17.8 billion in 2010, only overseas business part. With overseas power plant growing fast, there is a possibility that EWP may face the limitation of sustainable growth with the current low income structure, which is mainly focused on commissioning and power plant management. Accordingly, this study was made on overseas biomass plant business participation plan through the establishment of joint venture. The characteristics of a joint venture establishment was searched, choosing business partner; the ideas of how to organize a joint venture was drawn, what the role of each partner in joint venture is, and what proper capital share is; and chose business field, considering changing global energy mix, renewable energy market scale, and growth prospects. Considering government policy for renewable energy vitalization and renewable energy market share, We chose the European union as a market to which our business entered.

This Study attempted to comprehend difference between hiker and non-hiker's sense of place value at Namhansanseong Provincial Park. Especially, it was analyzed after visitors, who were divided into local residents & tourists and first time visitors & repeat visitors. Out of 600 visitors, who were over 19 years old, participated in the survey, 587 responses were used for data analysis. Consequently, Sense of place value at Namhansanseong Provincial Park were classified into three factors: Health Culture, Ecology Environment, and Connectedness. Hikers feel higher value on promotion of health, relaxation, environment than non-hikers. Among hikers, local residents feel higher value on ecology environment and connectedness than tourists. Among non-hikers, however, they have no difference between local residents and tourists, only repeat visitors and first time visitors. On this result, possibility of resident participation management on natural environment and trail was considered, and when the program, which is for raising cultural and traditional value, would develop, increasing number of repeat visitor should be considered as a high priority.

The power train of hydro-mechanical continuously variable transmission(HMCVT) for the middle class forklift makes use of an hydro-static unit, hydraulic multi-wet disc brake & clutches and complex helical & planetary gears. The complex helical & planetary gears are a very important part of the transmission because of strength problems. The helical & planetary gears belong to the very important part of the HMCVT's power train where strength problems are the main concerns including the gear bending stress, the gear compressive stress and scoring failures. The present study, calculates specifications of the complex helical & planetary gear train and analyzes the gear bending and compressive stresses of the gears. It is necessary to analyze gear bending and compressive stresses confidently for an optimal design of the complex helical & planetary gears in respect of cost and reliability. This paper not only analyzes actual gear bending and compressive stresses of complex helical & planetary gears using Lewes & Hertz equation, but also verifies the calculated specifications of the complex helical & planetary gears by evaluating the results with the data of allowable bending and compressive stress from the Stress - No. of cycles curves of gears. In addition, this paper explains actual gear scoring and evaluates the possibility of scoring failure of complex helical & planetary gear train of hydro-mechanical continuously variable transmission for the forklift.

As the scope of social expectations and roles in the design field has expanded, the demand for education to cope with changes in the technology environment is increasing in design education. In response to this trend, microcontroller board-type design-prototyping tools have also been introduced into design education, and much educational content is being developed. However, there is the perception that students who are majoring in design without engineering knowledge are still barred from entry. A variety of educational content and tools have been developed to solve these difficulties, although there are several limitations to their practical application. Especially, in the design education courses in universities, the functional expectation level for prototyping is high, but most of the content developed for solving the difficulties has been developed for the lower education levels, and it could be said that a great deal of learning is necessary to solve the problem. In this study, students were asked about microcontroller board utilization and their satisfaction with their design through questionnaires and with the developed microcontroller board development direction via Focus Group Interviews. Based on this, we tested microcontroller boards that eliminate the coding process and which students can use to create and prototype their work as a suggestion to fulfil demand. After using the board, both the usability and improvement of the product were checked. Confirmation of the usefulness of the free- coding-type microcontroller was obtained through this study along with the possibility of responding to various educational demands by applying the application design related to this product.

The purpose of this study lies in pursuing the unique plastic arts with the orchid motif which has the graceful colors and a variety of shapes beauty. Another aspect of this study intends to crease the modern costume design with the high added value by expressing the texture according to the material and tissue development for the continual improvement and promotion of the modern costume design in the handicraft art area. The results through the theoretical survey and the work production are as follows : First, the orchid which has the various shapes and colors provides the designers with the unique plastic arts and the possibilities for the unlimited expressions as the design motives. Second, we can see the creation of cubic plastic beauty in the moving line, as the material which has the flexible and brilliant shape fixation, used for expressing the shape beauty of the orchid. Third, this study reveals the extension of expression areas as a characteristic of the plastic arcs by applying handicraft techniques such as dyeing, corded tuck, flounce, crochet, weaving, beads embroidery, and art flower to the costumes for developing the unique material and texture. Finally, the possibility is suggested that the desires of the moderns searching for their own individualities can be met by creating the costumes with the added vague as the exposure of esthetic consciousness through the handicraft expression techniques.

The importance of technical innovation is increasing gradually in accordance with the life cycle of technology being shortened and the convergence being accelerate. This thesis aims to present the Framework of Competency Model of Techno Leadership capable of utilizing in promoting R&D (Research and Development) Leaders systematically by the technology based enterprise. The characteristic of core behavior necessary for Techno Leaders has been sorted out through the literature investigation and the analysis course of meaning, etc., the competency model of Techno Leadership has been deducted by analyzing the relation with MOT (Management of Technology) capacity being common skill of task necessary for Techno Leaders and the characteristic of behavior based on this through the questionnaire survey. The possibility of application in the field as well has been verified by applying the developed competency model in the actual field of enterprise. The competency model of techno Leadership developed in this research may be utilized in the direction establishment for the promotion of Techno Leadership in the enterprise or laboratory, especially, if would be effective to self-diagnose the core competency necessary for R&D manpower to be grown as the Techno leader in the IT oriented enterprise and to establish the improvement direction.

Bonding strength of a thermal sprayed coating is difficult to measure using a conventional pull-off test method. Scratch test is a potential alternative testing method. An adhesive and a cohesive bond strength of the coating can be measured by the pull-off test while the scratch test performed on the cross-section of the thermal sprayed coating can only demonstrate the cohesive bond strength of the coating. Nevertheless, it is still beneficial to perform the scratch testing on the cross-section of the coating for the sake of comparison thus providing an alternative to the pull-off test. The scratch test method can reduce testing time and cost in the long run due to a significant cost reduction in consumables and energy and time saving from the curing step of the glue used in the pull-off test. This research investigates the possibility of using the scratch test to measure the cohesive bond strength of Mo/NiCrBSi composite coating. The results from the pull-off test and the scratch test indicate that the cohesive bond strengths of the Mo composite coating show similar trend and that the cohesive bond strength are increased when increasing NiCrBSi content.
