In the late 19th century and early 20th century, Among those of the Northeast Asia three countries, school physical education and military-style gymnastics of Chosun can be regarded as having been the most nationalistic. The adoption of modern physical education in public schools was from the proclamation of 'the Order on Building the Country through Education by King Gojong in February 1895. This paper intends to examine the process of adopting military-style gymnastics education which played the central role in school physical education in the late Chosun period. But, unlike the common guess that military-style gymnastics in public schools in late Chosun would have been full of patriotism and nationalism, the textbooks and teaching contents of Chosun Military Officers' School were very similar to those of Japan, which is an unexpected fact. Therefore, Chosun decided to accept the Japanese-type military-style gymnastics and military training to improve physical strength of youngsters and military power. The fact that, with the advent of modern education, physical education was emphasized above all else has a very important meaning to the history of Korean physical education. Physical activity education emerged as a major education course which had been unthinkable in previous ages. The second characteristics is that the process of adopting military-style gymnastics and its contents were influenced by Japan Third, even if military-style gymnastics was imported from Japan as part of school physical education course in late Chosun period, its aim was to train military man powers for the independence movement against Japan, rather than to develop harmonious body.

Formulaic sequences are continuous or discontinuous series of words that are seemingly treated like single units. Formulaic sequences play a key role in language development, and formulaic sequences acquisition determines the success or failure of language development. This study proposes a reading aloud activity as a way for international students to learn formulaic sequences. A class focused on reading aloud was conducted with 41 international students taking a general English course at a university in Seoul. For 15 weeks, video lectures and real-time Zoom classes were conducted in parallel. The animated film Frozen was used as course material. In the video lectures, the teacher interpreted the movie script in easy Korean and read aloud formulaic sequences. Students were tasked with reading the sentences with formulaic sequences aloud, recording themselves reading aloud, and submitting their recordings. During real-time class meetings, students performed the activity of reading aloud the formulaic sequences they had studied in the video lectures. There was a significant increase in the interpretation and sentence writing of formulaic sequences in participants' post-evaluation compared to the pre-evaluation. Through the study's survey, students exhibited positive views in the affective domains.

In this study, three health teachers assigned to J-do were analyzed through the FGI research method to find out the difficulties, resolution process, and implications of new health teachers in adapting to teaching during COVID-19. As a result of the study, first, there were difficulties in relationships with parents, especially in the course of numerous calls and daily school status reports in the course of handling infectious diseases. After getting used to the COVID-19 work to some extent, beginning health teachers were burdened with having to think about health room work alone, difficulties in health classes for various students, and the burden of showing expertise as the only medical personnel in emergency situations. Second, new health teachers continued to share and communicate related information through online health teacher groups and YouTube to solve the difficulties of teaching. Third, this teaching adaptation process suggests that specific training to provide practical help to new health teachers is needed at the education office level, and it is necessary to support infrastructure such as class contents related to health classes.

In this study, I investigated cases of operating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) sustainable design courses based on interdisciplinary education for diverse design major students in the fashion design department. Through literature review, we examined the necessity of this course operation and analyzed the course through class design, execution, and operational results. Sustainable design courses were organized for 2nd to 4th-year students, promoting integrated learning for fashion design and various design majors to enhance interdisciplinary skills based on the in-depth study of SDGs issues. The educational content in the classes focused on the sustainable development goals achieved through upcycling design of waste PET bottle fibers developed by local industries, aiming to pursue sustainable values of designers through problem discovery and resolution. Students developed various upcycled products, evaluated metrics, and assessed satisfaction levels. Through this process, students gained an understanding of the practical value of SDGs, recognized the importance of sustainable development through design approaches for solving local issues, and acknowledged the significance of interdisciplinary education with various design majors.
As it is known, during the Second World War Greece has fought on the side of the allies and the end of the war found the country on the winners' side. However, the struggle for authority right after 1945 was merciless and extremely difficult, as well as dangerous for the course of the country to the future. The political powers were divided between the legal authorities that were represented by the king and formed the exiled government on the one hand and the part of the resistance teams and the rebels of the left that had a soviet friendly direction on the other. Thus, the start of a civil war was just a matter of time. It fin ally started in 1947 and lasted for more than two years. The consequences were disastrous for the country's economy and decisive for the future course of Greece. The national army prevailed with the help of, mostly, the English. Royal parliamentary democracy was established with a clear political turn to the west, as a completion and adaptation of the Agreement of the Great Powers at Yalta. Art had a 'similar' route. Dipolar, contradictory: conservative choices on the one side, and a will for pioneering inspiration and perspective on the other side. The 'dominate' trend was first evident in sculpture and mainly in the public monuments. Their construction aimed mostly at the public propaganda and at the promotion of the sovereign ideology. On the one side we have the public sculptures composed of faces of contemporary heroes or leading figures of the civic war and the national resistance. On the other side we have monumental statues mainly that appeal to a 'public' outside of the country's borders and mostly of the north borders, where there are countries with a communistic regime, like Bulgaria, Serbia and Albania. Their subject is derived from the heroic events of the Balkan Wars (1912-1913) and ancient historical figures like Alexander the Great as the Greek army leader, his father, Philippos II and Aristotle, who was of a north-Greek origin. The political message is twofold: on the one side the 'inner enemy' the communists that were defeated and the promotion of the new liberal social system and on the other side the north neighbours, which not only represent the East Block, but they also conspire the history and the culture of the Greeks. This is the way how the 'Cold War' was resulted in a full and totalitarian expression in art.
While the endeavor to introduce the service activity in the college education is enlarged, the object of this study is to introduce the concept of service learning in social work education. The 'Service-Learning' is focusing on the practical education, the liaison and participation in community and the promotion of civil awareness which are very important in social work education that focuses on the interest and participation in the human and social problem as practical study. This study contemplates the educational effect of the course of social work combined with service learning. This study verifies the change of the self-efficacy, the altruism, social responsibility as personal growth of students by carrying out the course of social welfare and service activities side by side. To investigate the learning effect qualitative analysis in journal of service activity was done. Through the service learning, students showed the promotion in self-efficacy, social responsibility. And as a result of qualitative analysis, it was found that students could participate in the intervention of family problems, could have lots of understanding of theory, could increase the interest of family welfare, could experience a change of perception about the client. Based on the above mentioned results, this study address that Service-Learning is useful teaching methodology in social work education to accomplish the personal growth of students and promote the learning effects.

Background: Ginseng has been used as an ergogenic agent, although evidence for its effectiveness is weak. A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of a ginsenoside complex (UG0712) on changes in exercise performance. Methods: Sedentary individuals (n = 117) were randomly assigned into one of three groups: low-dose ginsenoside supplementation (100 mg/d, n = 39), high-dose ginsenoside supplementation (500 mg/d, n = 39), or a placebo group (500 mg/d, n = 39). All participants underwent a supervised 12-wk aerobic and resistance exercise training course. To assess the effects of supplementation on physical performance, maximal oxygen consumption ($VO_2max$), anaerobic threshold (AT), lactic acid, and muscle strength of the dominant knee were measured at baseline, every visit, and after the training program. Results: Both ginsenoside groups showed significant increases in $VO_2max$ and muscular strength during exercise training. There were no definite changes in AT and lactic acid levels over time. After exercise training, there were definite differences in the $VO_2max$ (28.64.9 to $33.7{\pm}4.9ml/kg/min$ in high-dose group vs. $30.4{\pm}6.7$ to $32.8{\pm}6.6ml/kg/min$ in placebo, p = 0.029) and AT ($19.3{\pm}4.2$ to $20.9{\pm}3.5ml/kg/min$ in high-dose group vs. $20.0{\pm}5.1$ to $20.0{\pm}4.9ml/kg/min$ in placebo, p = 0.038) between the high-dose ginsenoside and placebo groups. However, there was no difference in $VO_2max$ between the low-dose ginsenoside and placebo groups (p = 0.254). There were no differences in muscular strength during exercise training among the three groups. Conclusion: High-dose ginsenoside supplementation (UG0712) augmented the improvement of aerobic capacity by exercise training.
