요구조건 기준의 개발 수행을 위한 우주발사체 개발사업의 실제적인 요구조건-검증 관리 체계 (Practical Requirements and Verification Management for Requirements-based Development Process in Space Launch Vehicle Development Project)

  • For the success of system development, it is necessary to systematically manage the requirements that are the basis of system development and its verification results. In order to follow the principles of SE(Systems Engineering)-based V&V(Verification&Validation) process, requirements can be managed by securing the requirements and their establishments, design compliances, and verification compliances according to the system development lifecycle. Especially, in a large-complex system research and development project, such as a space launch vehicle development project, many participants establish, verify, and validate numerous requirements together during the project. Therefore, logical and systematic requirements management, including guarantee of data integrity, change history, and traceability, is very important for multiple participants to utilize numerous requirements together without errors. This paper introduces the practical requirements and verification management for the requirements-based development process in the space launch vehicle development project.

  • Recently because the IS development project is large scale and complicated, the necessity of tools that can manage effectively smooth communications and the harmonized project between the interested parties is exposed. According to this fact, many companies are investing enough to the PMS (Project Management System) for the sake of the systematic management of the IS development project, and also this PMS is emerging as one of the indispensable tools for the successful IS development project by casting off from a auxiliary means for the past project management. However, as had been expected, whether the introduction of the PMS is possible to facilitate communications within a project team, and a main motivation that can derive individual performance and organizational performance that participated in the IS development project is induced or not are not verified still empirically and apparently. With respect to this, a survey was conducted to examine how PMS quality affected user satisfaction, communication, individual performance and project performance. The effects of the data gathered were verified by structural equation model analysis.

QFD와 AHP를 이용한 ITS 프로젝트관리자 핵심역량 연구 (A Study on Core Competencies of ITS Project Managers Using QFD and AHP)

  • ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) has been more popular but ITS project managements remain complex because of diverse stakeholders and multidisciplinary processes of ITS. The multidisciplinary process enforces specialized competencies on ITS project managers comparing to other system integration project managers. In this paper, we derived core competencies of ITS projects from previous researches, built the hierarchy of the competencies, and employed AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) surveying ITS project managers and auditors with the hierarchy. Finally, we analyzed the difference of evaluation model on ITS project manager between project managers and auditors using Mann-Whitney U test. Additionally we suggest a method of building MECE (Mutually Exclusive and Collectively Exhaustive) structure for AHP using the HoQ (House of Quality). We expect our model to give some inspirations for raising capable ITS project managers and selecting a proper project manager for an ITS project.

  • Even though the success of the information system (IS) protect becomes a critical issue to an enterprise and there has been a lot of research about finding critical success factors of IS projects, the scope management for the success of IS protect has received little attention in the literature. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of the project scope management activities defined by PMI (Project Management Institute) on the performance of the information system project. The focus of this paper is on the project supplier's point of view. This study shows the priority of the scope management activities during the IS Project. The results show the different results depending on the types of the project clients and the project scale. This research reveals that the scope verification is important for the project supplier from the project process view, and that the scope planning/definition is important for the protect client from the project result view. It also shows different results comparing to the conventional recognition about project success. The research results show that the positive relationships between the project scale and the importance of scope management activities, and between the familiarity of suppliers and clients and the importance of the scope management activities. Through this research, we expect that the importance of the scope management in a project will be considered as an important issue, and that this research will lead to various detailed research about this issue.

  • This purpose of this study is to suggest a tentative model for project selection of information system. In constructing a mathematical model, quantification of decision criteria is tried to lessen difficulties of measuring benefits of information system project. Suggested model enables us to select projects in the context of portfolio and information system policy.

  • In this paper, I have proposed a design of process support system based on CMMI process which can support integrated management and repository for CMMI model processes. The system assists small organization to improve business process and offers institutionalized automatic environment to users for use of CMMI processes. The proposed system also can enhance quality and productivity of project by including features such as convenience of project management, planned project administration and steady process improvement.

  • Since standardization project is composed of complicate system, such as vehicle, signal, electric power and railway, how to build management system of the project has influence on the success of the project for the first stage of the project. The computer system design tool supports to carry out requirement analysis, DB construction, and history and follow-up management efficiently. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the method to optimize schema using computer system design tool.

  • This paper presents a model for R&D project selection and evaluation system design developed through literature review. The model emphasizes the fitness between the five elements of the system : evaluation phase and purpose, personnel and organization, evaluation critiria and decision model, evaluation form and procedure, and projects. The model was applied in real situation as a test case. The important findings are that a good project selection and evaluation model contributes only partially to the effectiveness of the project selection and that system development and implementation activity is a dynamic and multi-facetted learning process.

  • 본 연구는 '지역 개발 및 지원에 관한 법률' 시행에 맞춰 이전보다 강화된 지역개발사업 관리방안을 모색하는데 연구의 목적을 갖고 있다. 이를 위해 그동안 지적되어 온 지역개발사업 관리의식의 부족, 통합관리체계의 부재, 사업관리 정보의 신뢰성 부족 등을 개선하고자 다음과 같은 개선방안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 지역개발사업의 관리는 관계법령에 기초한 사업평가관리 체계로 운영할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 지역개발사업의 다양한 정보를 DB화하여 중앙정부 및 지방자치단체에서 활용 가능한 정보시스템을 구축하여야 한다. 셋째, 지역개발사업 관리의 효율성과 전문성을 제고하기 위해 전문위탁 기관 등을 활용한 사업관리 체계마련이 필요하다. 마지막으로 담당 공무원의 전문성 및 책임성을 제고하기 위한 업무환경 개선이 필요하다.

Stochastic Project Scheduling Simulation System (SPSS III)

  • This paper, introduces a Stochastic Project Scheduling Simulation system (SPSS III) developed by the author to predict a project completion probability in a certain time. The system integrates deterministic CPM, probabilistic PERT, and stochastic Discrete Event Simulation (DES) scheduling methods into one system. It implements automated statistical analysis methods for computing the minimum number of simulation runs, the significance of the difference between independent simulations, and the confidence interval for the mean project duration as well as sensitivity analysis method in What-if analyzer component. The SPSS 111 gives the several benefits to researchers in that it (1) complements PERT and Monte Carlo simulation by using stochastic activity durations via a web based JAVA simulation over the Internet, (2) provides a way to model a project network having different probability distribution functions, (3) implements statistical analyses method which enable to produce a reliable prediction of the probability of completing a project in a specified time, and (4) allows researchers to compare the outcome of CPM, PERT and DES under different variability or skewness in the activity duration data.
