THE INFLUENCE OF THE PROJECT MANAGER ON THE SUCCESS OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

  • The success and failure of any project depends upon many factors, the Project Manager is considered to be the key contributor to the success of any project, as well as a guide to the team members to achieve the client satisfaction (Cost, Time and Quality). Therefore the main aim of this paper is to provide a practical approach for understanding the importance of the Project Manager and his effectiveness to the success of the construction projects. In addition, the Project Manager's roles, responsibilities and duties have direct impact to the success of the construction projects. In order to identify the thoughts and opinion of the construction industry on this particular assertion, a quantitative study was carried out within the UK construction industry. The result of the study shows that there is an extremely strong correlation between the Project Manager and the success of the construction projects. In construction projects the Project Manager is considered to be one of the most important people who can lead and drive the projects in the right direction and conclude construction projects successfully. Moreover, these can play the most important role regarding the improvement of the organization's performance, the organization's profitability and the client's satisfaction. The research confirmed that the Project Manager is a very essential element to the success of the construction project and have an impact at every stage of the construction project. So it concluded that selection of a Project Manager should be carefully done with regard to experience, knowledge, power/authority and good understanding to the kind of the project.

2018년도 경기도 한의 난임 지원 사업 진료 결과 분석 연구 (A Study Assessing 2018 Gyenggi-do Korean medicine Support Project for Subfertility)

  • Objectives: This study aims to assess the Gyenggi-do support project of Korean medical treatment in subfertility in 2018. And we would like to propose a plan to improve the project by analyzing the results of the project. Methods: We got the medical records of 260 participants that personal information was deleted by the association of Korean Medicine in Gyenggi-do. We collected the participants' characteristics, treatment records, results of treatment, laboratory results and satisfaction survey results. We coded the data and analyzed them using SPSS 23 at 5% significance level. Results: After the treatment, 11.0% of participants became pregnant spontaneously. There was no significant change in blood test before and after the treatment and observation period, and there was no adverse event during the project. After the project, the satisfaction survey was conducted. 84.2% of participants answered that they were satisfied with the result of the treatment. Conclusions: We analyzed the results of Gyenggi-do support project of Korean medical treatment for infertile women in 2017 and 2018. This study suggests the effectiveness and safety of Korean medical treatment for infertile women.

사전 프로젝트 리스크 평가와 프로젝트 성과와의 관계에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on the Relationship with Previous Project Risk Evaluation and Project Performance)

  • 프로젝트에 대한 리스크 평가는 프로젝트의 성과를 사전에 판단할 수 있기 때문에 프로젝트를 수행하는 기업의 입장에서 사업수행 이전에 진행하는 활동 중 가장 중요한 활동이다. 본 연구는 이러한 프로젝트 리스크 평가가 사업 수행 성과 및 고객만족도에 어떠한 영향관계를 가지는 지 분석하기 위해 기술 및 일정 등과 같은 전통적인 리스크 요인과 재무적, 전략적, 특별 리스크 등과 같이 기업에서 활용하는 리스크 요인을 종합하여 리스크 평가를 위한 요인을 마련하였다. 분석을 위해 전체 134개 공공 및 민간 프로젝트에 대한 사전 리스크 평가 결과와 사업 수행성과 및 고객만족도 등 프로젝트 수행 결과에 대한 정보를 수집하였다. 분석 결과 도출된 리스크 요인들은 비즈니스 성과 및 고객 만족도에 어느정도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 리스크가 반드시 성과에 부(-)의 영향을 미치지는 않다는 결과도 나타났다. 이는 리스크에 대한 관리 수준에 따라 프로젝트 성과가 영향 받는다는 것을 의미하는 것으로, 향후 연구에서는 리스크에 대한 관리 수준과 프로젝트 성과와의 관계에 대한 실증적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

경영학 수업에서 팀 프로젝트활동과 수업만족에 관한 연구 (Team Project Activity and Satisfaction in Business Education)

  • 2010년도에 들어서면서 학령인구의 감소와 함께 고등학교 졸업생들의 대학진학률 하향추세로, 대학들은 학생 선발과 양질의 교육콘텐츠 제공이라는 2중의 어려움에 직면하고 있다. 이에 각 대학은 환경의 변화에 대한 신속한 대응과 동시에 다양하고 전문화된 대학교육서비스(팀기반 프로젝트학습, 사례연구, e-러닝, 액션러닝 등)를 도입하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 대학생을 대상으로 팀기반 프로젝트학습이 수업만족에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 하였다. 이를 위한 측정항목으로 4개 요인(팀 응집력, 팀워크, 팀 성과 및 목표달성)을 설정하고, 설문조사(4개 과목, 34팀, 134명)를 통해서 자료를 수집하여, 구조방정식모형으로 분석했다. 연구모형검증 결과는 팀 응집력${\rightarrow}$팀워크${\rightarrow}$수업만족의 구조가 제시되었으며, 팀 성과와 목표달성은 수업만족에 미치는 영향이 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 팀기반 프로젝트학습의 경우 팀응집력이 높아야 수업만족정도가 높아지는 것으로 분석되었다.

교육복지 사업에 대한 만족이 사회적 자본을 매개하여 학교적응에 미치는 영향: 초·중학생 간 차이를 중심으로 (The effect of the satisfaction of education welfare project on the school adaptation and mediative effect of social capital : Difference between elementary and middle school students)

  • 본 연구는 초중학생들의 교육복지 사업에 대한 만족이 학교적응에 영향을 미치는지 그리고 사회적 자본이 이를 매개하는지와 초등학생과 중학생 간의 경로 차이를 발견하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해서 교육복지 사업에 참여한 강원도의 초등학교 4학년과 중학교 1학년을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 이를 통해서 수집된 153명의 초등학생과 124명의 중학생 자료를 구조방정식의 다집단 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 초등학생은 사회적 자본이 학교적응에 영향을 미치는 경로에 대해서만 유의하게 인식하였다. 중학생은 교육복지 사업에 대한 만족이 학교적응에, 사회적 자본이 학교적응에 영향을 미친다고 인식하였다. 두 집단 모두 교육복지 사업에 대한 만족과 학교적응 간의 관계에서 사회적 자본이 매개효과를 갖지 못하였다. 이를 토대로 초중학생들의 학교적응을 돕기 위한 실천적 방안을 제안하였다.

2020년 지역사회 한의학 방문돌봄사업 5례 임상증례 보고 (Report of 5 Clinical Cases of Visiting Korean Medicine Care for Community in 2020)

  • Objective : The researcher participated in the visiting treatment project organized by OO City in 2020 and showed the advantages of visiting Korean Medicine, so I would like to report it. Methods : A comprehensive Korean Medicine intervention method was performed for each symptom, and changes in basic physical strength were observed through vital signs, NRS, Single Leg Stance (SLS), and Chair Stand Test (CST) tests. Results : It can be seen that the NRS level, a pain scale for chronic pain, generally decreased at the last treatment compared to the beginning of treatment. Satisfaction with Project Information (PI) was relatively low at 3.20±1.30, but Ease of Participation (EoP), Intention to Participate Again (IPA), Expansion of Project (ExP), and Overall Satisfaction (OS) were high at 5.00±0.00. Conclusions : Summarizing the advantages of visiting Korean Medicine is that the treatment satisfaction for chronic pain is high, the patient's satisfaction is high, the treatment tool is easy to carry, and various visiting treatment services can be implemented.

A Review of Customer Satisfaction Factors in Libyan Housing Projects

  • Customer satisfaction and customer relationship are crucial aspect in any enterprises including housing construction projects. In general, the housing developers are facing a number of new challenges in different countries including Libya. The construction industries/housing developers need to continuously improve their products and services to meet customers' satisfaction desires and to remain in the current competitive market. This paper focuses on analysing the satisfaction factors of customers including qualityaspects of products and services in the construction projects. A framework was developed to evaluate the dynamics relationship between customer satisfaction and quality products or services, aiming to help companies' managers and policy makers to understand the needs and points of view of their customers. Apragmatic analysis was conducted to explore and analyse the customer satisfaction factors in construction industry considering different aspect of customer groups in Libya. Results indicate that there is a high demand of improvements in the contractor's performance in terms of cost, time and quality of products. It was also found that Libyan construction companies have been forced to transform their policies after on Libyan war 2011 to focus on client and customer satisfactory policies, or say centric for the purpose of improving client requirements and turn the business into more advantageous for any company.

Correlation Analysis between Job Stress and Job Satisfaction of Building Construction Field Managers

  • The success of a construction project hinges on the effective and efficient management of human resources. The stress of human resources is directly related with work performance, and as such, should be managed to improve work performance. This study examined the correlation between job stress and job satisfaction among building construction project managers. A questionnaire to measure work performance was created by referring to the Korean Occupational Stress Questionnaire Short Form developed by the Korean Occupational Safety & Health Agency, as well as a previous study. The mean job satisfaction score of field managers was 3.6, which suggests that they are generally satisfied in their current job environment. A Pearson's correlation analysis showed that the field managers that were satisfied with their job had less job stress. These results could be used for the effective management of construction site managers and to improve their job performance in the field.

  • In order to improve the quality of social services, developed countries overseas have introduced authorization or permit system to primary filtering when entering the market that provides social services. However, in Korea, a quality evaluation system for social service quality management has been introduced and implemented, but no significant effect has been achieved so far. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between service quality, service satisfaction, and repurchase intention, which are important variables to measure social service quality improvement, and to use it for service quality management. As a result of this study, service quality, service satisfaction, and repurchase intention are important factors for service quality improvement. It is necessary to secure a service provider of and continuous user selection and service quality management are also important.

ESTIMATES OF THE CONSUMER SATISFACTION INDEX USING THE POST OCCUPANCY EVALUATION

  • The evaluation items to assess the consumer needs are thought to be varied depending on their age, education and income. It should be noted that consumer needs are getting too diversified to notice them in time due to the rapid economic, social and cultural development. It is, therefore, considered improper to try to assess the level of consumer satisfaction and correct consumer needs by employing one evaluation method for the vastly diversified consumer types. This research is going to conduct a written questionnaire survey to the apartment dwellers in order to identify like dweller groups according to their age, income and education. Then the scope of personal characteristics of each group will be identified and the importance assessment model will be developed. Then the items on the POE will be weighted according to the assessed importance. Finally a method of developing the customer satisfaction index will be produced to quantify how much the consumers are satisfied with the project.
