As Korea has been industrialized high recently, the constructional plant part which is the major driving force to Korean economic growth is being developed. In spite of the great importance, there are many ill-prepared parts in EPC project management procedure, and working in practice of EPC project management procedure manual is not systematic. That is why the governmental progressive policy on the relevant technology and the establishment of EPC project management procedure are needed. This study was aimed to derive reform measures by analyzing problems of EPC project management procedure manuals which are in use at 13 large-sized construction companies currently. The reform measures which are based on the theory of PMI(Project Management Institute)'s PMBOK(Porjcet Management Body Of Knowledge) are about deriving administration factors to control the project, and EPC project administration factors are derived from the definition of CMAA(Construction Mangement Association of America). The reformed electronic EPC project management procedure manual system is set up by standardizing derived administration factors.

In large public construction projects with a certain size or larger that need to be carried out over a number of years, the Authority must secure a budget for construction project management activities by the construction manager. There is no problem if the project management budget secured by the issuing Authority and the project management budget executed by the issuing Authority are the same, but if not, various problems will arise. Therefore, in this study, the following measures were proposed to improve the system for efficient operation of construction project management: First, the construction project management terms and tasks specified in the statutes and the guidelines of government agencies should be unified and the standard for calculating consideration should be unified. Second, the total project cost management guideline should be specified so that the missing construction project manager can receive compensation for the technical proposal. Third, if the project cost is changed in the long-term continuous construction project, the construction project management expense should be adjusted accordingly. Fourth, if construction project management service is required from the Authority, the basis for consignment to a specialized institution should be specified in the total project cost management guideline.

Large-scale construction projects require various license and technologies for the manufacturing and handling processes. Also, the whole life cycle business process management determines the success of the project. Then, the efficiency of the business conducted by stakeholders and their possessed technology should be enhanced in order to strengthen their competitive power. For this reason, many experts pointed out to focus on the improvement of the life cycle process and efficient management. Since it is very important to keep up-to-date data and utilize it for work during the long-term project to reflect changes in the large-scale project, the most important part of the project management in project is information change management. Therefore, the objective of this study is applying configuration management(CM) technique in order to managing change data generated for planning in early phase. The result of this research will certainly assist the large-scale project managers in the development of information change management system.

This paper, introduces a Stochastic Project Scheduling Simulation system (SPSS III) developed by the author to predict a project completion probability in a certain time. The system integrates deterministic CPM, probabilistic PERT, and stochastic Discrete Event Simulation (DES) scheduling methods into one system. It implements automated statistical analysis methods for computing the minimum number of simulation runs, the significance of the difference between independent simulations, and the confidence interval for the mean project duration as well as sensitivity analysis method in What-if analyzer component. The SPSS 111 gives the several benefits to researchers in that it (1) complements PERT and Monte Carlo simulation by using stochastic activity durations via a web based JAVA simulation over the Internet, (2) provides a way to model a project network having different probability distribution functions, (3) implements statistical analyses method which enable to produce a reliable prediction of the probability of completing a project in a specified time, and (4) allows researchers to compare the outcome of CPM, PERT and DES under different variability or skewness in the activity duration data.

These days, many companies use information systems as a basis for organizational management activities and as an important component of sustainable management. Thus, securing and operating a high-quality information system that can improve the efficiency of business processes is a large part of corporate competitiveness. In order to get such a critical information system, it is only possible to successfully carry out the project. Various attempts and studies have been undertaken to increase the success rate of the project. However, the reality is that the success rate is still not getting much better. In this study, the concept of quality of service, which has long been actively studied in marketing area, was applied as a new factor to enhance the project's success. In this study, project performance activities were defined as the act of providing services. A survey of 164 valid collection data was analyzed. The analysis used SPSS 23. Four process quality factors (customer participation, customer response, knowledge and skills, reliability) and 21 metrics were derived. Through this research, I hope to be the starting point of applying process quality concept as a new breakthrough to increase success rate of project.

GS E&C had developed construction management system, PMS which is based on EVMS in 1997. Recently, TPMS has developed for effective construction management through applying daily schedule management and JIT on materials, labors, equipments focusing field work. TPMS realizes "Shielding" and "Make-Ready Process" which are the main concept of Lean construction. Through this system, it can manage and plan daily field work, support the field work related material, labor, and equipment planning, and minimizes the non-valuable process. This paper introduces the concept of TPMS, and through established system, it can lead the construction culture and raise the competitive power of construction industry

This paper proposes the interated and balanced project management system for software and IT by considering BSC, MBNQA, ISO 9001, Six Sigma, CMM and SPICE. This system can be extended to assess the various project management practices.

Integrated Railroad Information System(IRIS) Construction Project is one of the super projects in Korea required to invest over 100 billion won and 10,000 engaged manpower until Dec 30, 2004. Composition of this paper is as follows; firstly, examined individual contents and aspects of IRIS, and studied formality and contents that have been based to project methodology for successful propulsion of project in overall situation of SI project progress until present. Secondly, presented for construction background of IRIS as well as Project Management and Project Development Methodologies. Thirdly, described each characteristic and development substance for individual systems after present whole contents and system image of the system. Finally, presented successful propulsion result of this project and development directions. We presented development example laying stress on IRIS's Project contents and propulsion circumstances. Evaluation about operation results should be analyzed and studied in detail operating system from now on.

Generally EPC management system was simply management concept through the normal S/W. Our LNG Plant R&D Center wanted to the excellent management system from the S/W. So We developed the R&D management S/W and EPC management S/W Built in the Microsoft Project Server. Our system made to the customer Requirements. It was just User Interface protocol. But User Interface has more Weak position, because it makes from the MS Project Servers. Ms Projector server make easy to treat the project on the WBS. EPC parts mixed WBS and normally Ms SQL Database. It has very complicated Structures. Now We planed to make the general Database and Ms Project Server, It' means to the S/W Developer and Schedule Manager ability. We will successfully integrate R&D management system and EPC system and other softwares.
