A Study on the Effect of EPL on Programing, Computing Thinking and Problem Solving Ability of Programing Education (EPL이 프로그래밍 교육의 프로그래밍, 컴퓨팅사고력 및 문제해결력에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, it is practically difficult to obtain programming language education without having an algorithmic thinking ability, computing thinking ability, and problem solving ability of students with relatively low basic education. The results showed that students who took program language education in parallel with the EPL(Educational Programing Language), Scratch, compared to without using Scratch found to be helpful in improving their programming amd computing thinking ability, and problem-solving abilities as well as their satisfaction. This not only gave students confidence in their hard-thinking programming practices, but also helped prevent them from falling out of the middle.

  • This paper proposes several methods for effective teaching of programing language(especially C). The programing languages are very important and basic subjects in the Department of Computer Engineering and Science. Many students have some difficulty in learning the programming languages. So, we will suggest several effective methods for effective teaching of programming languages. First, in order to understand the programming language effectively, we need to teach some basic computer architecture and operation principles of computer program to students. Second, it is better to teach many example-based programing skills instead of conventional grammar teaching. Third, if we teach the memory status(memory allocation/release) during the program operation, it will be much better to understand the pointer variables and memory problems. Fourth, let's improve the programming skills through effective homework assignments and experiments. Fifth, let students be guided so that they do programing by themselves. Finally, we can maximize the programming skill through the final termproject.

  • In this paper, we propose the function verification method of the OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) drive IC using PLI verification method. This method uses the HDL(Hardware Description Language) simulator, PLI(Programing Language Interface), and GUI (Graphic User Interface) image viewer. This method improves the execute efficiency 40 times than conventional function verification methods. The proposed method can be used efficiently for function verification of DDI(display driver IC) design step.

  • The conception of the computer education should be paid attention to use, as it has meaning of the education using the computer and the education learning the computer. As a notion of the latter, the computer education points at survey of calculation and study which is related programing. Especially study of programing demands various understandings of external fields in programing like operating system and knowledge of hardware with complex courses like coding, compiling, debugging. Existing programming has set importance on mechanical memorizing and using programing grammar so that it has not been suitable for cultivating logical thoughts. So this paper intends to analyze simple game sources coded by C which is based of programing language to develop a fundamental insight.

  • 본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.11 MAC Layer의 Reception, Transmission 검증을 위해 PLI (Programing Language Interface)를 이용한 방법을 제안한다. PLI를 이용한 검증은 시스템 Level의 검증으로써 설계단계에서 문제점을 확인하고 수정할 수 있다. 그러므로 불필요한 개발비의 낭비를 줄일 수 있고 개발 기간 단축의 효과를 거둘 수 있다. 검증을 위해 Mentor Graphics 사의 HDL (Hardware Description Language) 시뮬레이터인 Modelsim 6.1g Version을 사용하고 PLI를 이용하여 검증 환경을 구축한다.

  • SPM is MDC Processor for string pattern expressed in directional chain code. In this paper we consider the string pattern matching algorithm (Leve-nstein Algorithm) whitch is portion of Dynamic Programing, and propose architecture of SPM and simulate it on the R-T level to evaluate its architecture. We used the C language as the hardware description language, and developed it on the IBM PC/AT Zenix system V OS environment.

  • Excessive cognitive burdens caused by learning grammar should be reduced to cultivate high-level thinking skills in students through programing education. To this end, various educational programing languages have been developed. In recent years, block-based App Inventor that can used in real life have been introduced. This study intends to suggest an educational environment in which programing can be utilized as a leading problem solving tool by designing and producing an app that can be easily used by students in their real life. In particular, given the developmental phase of elementary school students, specific operational activities are important. For this reason, an App Inventor that can be proposed to enable dynamic interactions with the real world based on various smartphone sensors during the process of programing has significance as an educational programing language for elementary school students. In this regard, this study designed App Inventor programing education for elementary school students, which can be used in their daily life. The results of applying the education in fifth graders showed its positive effects on learning programing. LT collaborative learning where the students cooperated with each other, the theme of learning, which enables the utilization of various smartphone sensors in real life, and the app inventor may have generated and sustained the students' interest and attention.

  • Motor aphasia is an affection frequently caused by insult of the left middle cerebral artery and usually accompanied by a large lesion involving the Broca's area and the adjacent motor and premotor areas. Therefore, a patient with motor aphasia commonly shows articulatory disturbances due to failure of the motor programing of speech sound. Objective assessment and treatment of phonologic programing is one of the important aspects of speech therapy in aphasic patients. We analyzed the speech disorders acompanied with motor aphasia in a 45-year-old man using a computerized sound spectrograph, Visi-$Pitch{\circledR}$, and Multi-Dimensional Voice $Program{\circledR}$. We concluded that a computerized speech analysis system is a useful tool to visualize and quantitatively analyse the severity and progression of dysarthria, and the effect of speech therapy.

  • In general, flow analysis programs have been built in not JAVA language but such as Fortran, C or C++ because of a merit in performance of computation. However, most developer of those languages are not free for use. User should purchase the development tools of programs, and install it on their own computer. Fortunately, JAVA is a free software, and can be used to develop WEB-based programs. It is well known that the JAVA language is time consuming for calculating. However, the performance of computer power has been increased continuously, so it is sure that the former states can be overcome. In the present study, a flow analysis program, which is interactive with Graphics, using the Web-based programing language, JAVA, has been developed for solving the two-dimensional flow motion.

  • As the trend of the automation is increasing, the usage of the programmable automation equipments like programmable controller(PC), numerical controller(NC), distributed control systems(DCS) and robot controller is greatly expanding in the area of the industrial equipments. But the development of the programing language for the programmable automatic equipment is rarely accomplished. In this paper, we propose design and implementation technique of the real-time mechanism control language by adding time constraint constructs and timing analysis constructs ot conditional statement and iteration statement of a programming language. Moreover, we made it possible to predict plausibility of time constraint constructs of a real time application program at compilation time and developing execution time analysiss technique.
