Geometrical Analysis of a Torque Converter (토크 컨버터의 형상 분석)

  • The performance of a torque converter can be expressed by the performance parameters such as flow radius and flow angle, on the mean flow path. The geometric analysis of the torque converter is required to determine these parameters for the modeling of the torque converter. In general, the blade shape is depicted by three dimensional data at the mid-surface of blade or those of the pressure and suction side. To generate three dimensional model of the blade using the data mentioned above, a consistent data format and a shape generation algorithm are required. This paper presents a useful consistent data format of the blades and an algorithm for the geometrical shape generation. By the geometric analysis program to which the shape generation algorithm is embedded, the variation of blade angles in rotating element analyzed. Then finally, the analyzed results of geometric profile of a blade are compared with those of the blade design principle, so called forced vortex theorem.

  • In this study, the CIE RGB color space which was one of the most popular device-dependent application program in digital image processing was adopted to make the profile with the device information. The profile was applied to the digital image of a JPEG file format. The result was compared with the color reproduction of another digital image of a JPEG file format, which was made in the e-sRGB color space that had the color spaces allocated to each reproduced color of an image and device-independent colors. In this way it was investigated which color space was more appropriate for digital image processing for web printing and if the e-sRGB color space was good as a color management tool that didn't depend on a device in processing a digital image for web printing.

Computerization of Matrix Analysis of Skeletal Structures (행렬해법에 의한 골조구조해석의 전산화)

  • General purpose programs are essential elements for the computerization of structural analysis. This paper is associated with actual formulation of such programs by matrix analysis. The basic theory of matrix analysis for skeletal structures, its implementation and techniques for developing efficient programs are discussed in this paper. Any shape of skeletal structure can be included in a single program for space frames. But in order to economize computing time and computer memory space, it is desirable to develop and operate seperate programs specialized into four categories; truss, planar frame, grid and space frame. As for general purpose programs, simplicity of input format and flexibility of output format should be duly considered. Compaction and solution of system equations are the most important aspects in computer programming of matrix analysis, and worth further study for more efficient computerization.

  • Manual generation of the relay setting summary could involve fatal errors which would result in the big damage to the system. This paper reports the automatic generation system of relay setting reports. Analysing the manual reports of various relays the almost unified format has been designed. The developed system utilizes the graphics and tabular format to enhance the user understanding.

  • This paper presents a high speed ethernet communication and depulication method of communication to prevent decrease of reliability that was generated by high speed communication. Thus communication reliability was improved and this paper was considered that if any physical breakdown of line of communication occurred, other line of communication could operate collect. This paper used Flash memory for setting storage of backup data at Electric Car that have an humidity and a temperature and an impact. also improved reliability and besides matching data format to windows data format realized to confirm application program at PC or note book computer.

The Content and Format Development of Financial Counseling Program on the Internet (인터넷 재무상담 프로그램의 내용과 양식 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This paper analyzed some financial counseling cases on the internet and suggested a framework for the improved financial counseling. Data of 392 financial counseling cases were gathered from the site bulletin board whose members were mostly housewives. The largely demanded contents of counseling were about 1) general financial procedures and the evaluation of household financial condition, 2) saving and investment, 3) buying and canceling insurance, and 4) debt repayment and debt availability. Based on the data analysis, a special format which requires on the personal and financial information of consumers was developed. In a way to help counselors and clients far questions asked often, FAQs is also suggested. Finally the arrangement and development of financial planning related softwares were investigated.

  • This paper presents a graphical windows-based program for the education and training for novel network reduction. The object of developed simulator is to provide users with a simple and useable tool for gaining an intuitive feel for power system analysis. The developed simulator consists of the main module (MMI,GUI), the location marginal price module (LMP), the clustering module and network reduction module. Each module has a separate graphical and interactive interfacing window. The developed simulator needs with the PSS/E input data format, generator cost function, location information. Line admittances of reduced network was determined by using the power flow method(Newton-Raphson). So line flow of reduced network is almost same to original power system. Results of reduced network are compared on the window in the tabular format. Therefore, the developed simulator can be utilized as a useful tool for effective education and training for power system analysis.

  • The necessity of developing a rapid dose assessment system has been emphasized for an effective emergency response of mitigation of off-site radiological consequences. A microcomputer program based on a rapid dose assessment model of the off-site radiological consequences is developed for various accdident sinarios for the Nuclear Power Plants in Korea. This model, which is consists of the user answering-question input format as a menu driven method and the output format of table and graphic types, is helpful to decision-making on Emergency Preparedness by being more rapidly able to implement the off-site dose assessment and to interpret the result.

  • Sine CAM structure is regular structure as that of RAM of PLA, CAM generator program is easy to implement. This program outputs CAM layout in the form of CIF(Caltech Intermediate Format) and graphic display program is debugging or displaying CAM generator output, which are implemented on PC/AT with MS C(5.0) graphic library and C language. CIF parser is programmed with YACC(Yet Another Compiler Compiler) and LEX (Lexical Analyzer) in order to flat the CIF data. For the purposed of plotting the layout output using ROLAND XY plotter is developed. By combining these program described above, from CIF generation to layout plotting can be executed on pull-down menu according to user's option.

  • The new computer program, visual SolidMech (ver 2.0), for mechanics of materials and structural mechanics has been developed using visual C++. The visual SolidMech is organized in a format similar to most standard texts on mechanics of materials and structural mechanics. This program consists of a number of menus to perform various calculations as well as a set of dedicated graphical user interfaces. Solutions to problems are given in both graphical and numerical forms. The visual SolidMech will help students develop problem-solving skills by showing them the important factors affecting various problem types, by helping them visualize the nature of internal stresses and member deformations, and by providing them an easy-to-use means of investigating a greater number of problems and variations. This new program can be utilized as a supplement to existing texts in mechanics of materials and structural mechanics.
